Re: ABR Discussion thread XXXV - Rise of the Pervsharks!
Her dialogue is definitely amusing to read, as well.
Also, that sounds like a great idea. I may do that whenever I get the chance to make my next one.

Re: ABR Discussion thread XXXV - Rise of the Pervsharks!
So this whole Endle∞ Winter thing has given me back a little inspiration, I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon whilst it's still gathering speed.
(Well actually I was planning something for FI but then I realised that I didn't actually like the comic I was making so I scrapped it)
But I'm using a new character rather than FFF:R Calamity... perhaps he was killed in the devastation, maybe.
In case it is needed, template for Cobalt:Spoiler
He acts strange for a robot because he's actually a human conciousness transferred to a robot body, although the body has some preset programming. Well, you might have gathered that from the comic, possibly.

Re: ABR Discussion thread XXXV - Rise of the Pervsharks!
Hi, guys! I don't think anybody remembers me at all (I showed up, tried to start a plot that flopped really hilariously, then wandered off) but I really like this new plot you're starting. I hope it succeeds!
I always kind of wish I was still 'involved' here (quotes because I was barely involved even when I was making comics) but I don't have the dedication or the talent, and I sure don't have the computer anymore!
Anyway, good luck with Endleasjdaskljd Winter! I'm watching, and it's so far really cool!SpoilerGoblins chew and goblins bite,

Re: ABR Discussion thread XXXV - Rise of the Pervsharks!
You're fine. Nobody really knows how to write for anyone else's character at the beginning of any plots. It's why I only gave you two lines in my previous comic. It's just something we learn over time.
So you should go make one.
I'll probably have my next comic up on Tuesday with Nitrine explaining the master-plan. So if anyone want's to "get in" on the scene, you have your deadline.
Anyways, I'm glad to see that I've managed to rekindle so much interest in ABR. Even if it's only been for a few days so far.

I remember you Goblin Scribe. Welcome back! Shame you can't join in with Endle∞ Winter, the more the merrier after all!
I just made a quick comic. Even if I'm not exactly sure if I'm doing it right, Cyban's dialogue is a lot of fun to work with.
Also I think this is literally the first time I've managed to make 2 comics in less than 24 hours. So go me (sure it required me to be incredibly lazy with the 2nd one, but whatever )

Re: ABR Discussion thread XXXV - Rise of the Pervsharks!
Except the Qs, whenever I've included them in any plot ever.
Then again, it's probably because they have such flat, simple, iconic personalities that can be sumed up in a few words. Not that big an accomplishment.
Speaking of which, it's gonna be a few weeks until exams end, but I'm already really excited for rejoining ploted ABR. I'm not entirely sure I should use the Qs, though, seeing as I use them for everything out of laziness. Anybody sick of them or should I keep on using their well-established personalities to my advantage?Last edited by Green-Shirt Q; 2012-11-25 at 08:55 PM.

The Qs are certainly reliable, but I'd say take the opportunity to expand your repertoire of characters.

Re: ABR Discussion thread XXXV - Rise of the Pervsharks!
"We just imitate Wood Frogs! Hibernating all winter!"
In all seriousness, ectotherm animals are remarkably durable, being able to survive temperatures that endotherms cannot. They do however, tend to be very slow or hibernating when exposed to extreme coldness. Presumably, the discovery of fire and the invention of spellcasting would have helped that.
Unfortunately, we have only established that native Avbaroians have invented houses and clothing! Only the alternate universe people have shown the knowledge of fire!
Me too, I just hope it keeps up until December, when I finish the project that is apparently really really important for this "Sch-ool" thingy. X3Treasured Quotes

Re: ABR Discussion thread XXXV - Rise of the Pervsharks!
It's in the continuity of FFF -> FI rather than FFF:R -> Endle∞ Winter, so I would assume so. (Perhaps alternate continuity would be a better term though... Plot and Plotus still made both the FFF and the FFF:R continuities, possibly same universe, different continuities? Stuff like Chronicles of Novaris and Sprite Wars are more truly different universes)
Wow, I think I put way too much thought into that.
Mind you, it just shows how ABR has grown, that I'm talking about categorising certain plots into same universe, different contuinity and other plots into completely separately universes (and then there are some that are same universe, same continuity like SDSB and Plot 3 but not part of the FFF -> FI storyline. Wow this is not helping my headache)
EDIT: Will try and get a comic in before Tiff's "deadline", if I have time.Last edited by Calamity; 2012-11-26 at 10:26 AM.

Re: ABR Discussion thread XXXV - Rise of the Pervsharks!
Just reading the ABR threads in the past few weeks is bringing up so much nostalgia. I can't believe I'd forgotten about Plotus, the plot goblins and Tolpy*... Good times.
I'd probably make some comics, but currently I can only work on them on weekends. On top of that, I seriously lack motivation to even open up inkscape, so... Yeah, just dropping by to say hi, I guess?

Speaking of reading through the old ABR threads, I'm really glad Photobucket deleted all of my comics from back in 2007.
They were painful.

Re: ABR Discussion thread XXXV - Rise of the Pervsharks!
I'm always glad when other people say that. I literally cringe when I see my old stuff. <.<
To clarify, I just meant Nitrine will explain the plan to HalfTangible's and possibly Forestfire's characters and to anyone else who can worm their way into the scene.
Obviously you won't be "locked out" of the plot just because you weren't in the room at the time. This is just sort of the bit where the party forms up a little I guess.Last edited by Tiffanie Lirle; 2012-11-26 at 01:54 PM.

Re: ABR Discussion thread XXXV - Rise of the Pervsharks!
I'm lucky in that regard - my old stuff isn't great but I can look at it without cringing. Heads are a little large, poses and expressions are static as all crap (the latter is what really bugs me) line consistency isn't great and I seemed to be afraid of putting down anything i would need to crop into the frame. Also, some of the color contrast was just ridiculous. But not TOO bad.

Ack! Why must my drawing files be on my other computer?
Also, my comics will probably be sparse in the next week or two. Reading week this week, then finals. If anyone wants to incorporate Peach at all into the plotline while I'm gone, be my guest.Last edited by Forrestfire; 2012-11-26 at 10:39 PM.

I'm rather hard pressed enough right now finding time to do Remember's pages, so I'm afraid probably won't be a new comic from me here anytime soon, but it is definitely heartwarming to see the old beast stir from its slumber again.

Re: ABR Discussion thread XXXV - Rise of the Pervsharks!
I was all ready to accept ABR as dead. But seeing a new comic every day? It actually really warms my heart.
I can't wait to be making comics again. Got a lot on my plate with exam time, and even after my comics will probably be pretty infrequent with the new art style I'm hoping to use.
Also, Tiff, FANTASTIC set up for a story. I loved you most recent comic and I'm now more excited than ever.AVATAR BATTLE ROYALE!

Re: ABR Discussion thread XXXV - Rise of the Pervsharks!
I think, at the very least, we should try and bump the current comic thread enough to finally replace it.
Also, I'm likely to end up replacing Cyban with a new character at some point, just because as fun as she is it'll be more fun to establish a new character than play an old one. I just sort of wanted to show her crazy luck in action again.
I was thinking of maybe making someone who'd been scarred by the magical explosion or something. Might be neat, and I've got a character design floating around.

Writing up an intro for my new character idea. Hopefully it comes out okay, but it'll take me a bit longer than a normal comic because I'm actually trying to plan it out.

I keep putting off making a comic because I don't like the process of making templates, and the longer I put it off, the more I need to make more templates. Vicious cycles aren't fun
