I mean, it's obvious. I'm disappointed in all of you.

Re: Murphy's Law 7: ...Maybe?
Believe me, I know what it feels like to lose a lot of saved work. Granted, it's not as bad for me, since noone actually READS the fanfics I post, but the sentiment's the same.

Hey, McDougal, your post is stretching the screen.
Anyway, THANK GOD I managed to find a backup! Here is the comic! (I told you I was almost done; I was adding the text when that happened)

Re: Murphy's Law 7: ...Maybe?
Is that an Assassin's Creed Reference in the title? /)^3^(\ SO AWESOME!
Coffee with just that tittle you have re-kindled my faith in humanity.
And besides that the comic was good, a bit slow and it feels kinda filler-ish*; but it was nice to see some development. It is quite rare IME to find anything that mentions some of the less thought ramifications of long lifespans (almost always it will be in relation to someone outliving a friend or romantic partner that doesn't share that longevity). I also love Tinde's reaction to the velvet... I am sure he will spend his next part of the loot into a velvet tunic or something, perhaps even getting Gold weapons (it is an actual weapon enhancement from a Faerûn sourcebook).
And the first panel looks great, the chandelier particularly, though I have a nagging suspicion something will happen to it in the near future, particularly with Team Gale so near after all they are the Protagonist
* I am sure that comment will turn to bite me in the but when this strip turns to be foreshadowing of something.

Re: Murphy's Law 7: ...Maybe?
That is a very nice chandelier.
You know, Coffee, you apologize whenever you're late for an update, but just the fact that you let us know ahead of time makes up for any delays. Plus, you take the time to do some really cool stuff with the art- like that chandelier- and you give us all sorts of extra goodies, like details on the way magic works in the setting, or explanations of what this character meant when they said that. You're really dedicated to your fans, and that makes us feel special. We may be awesome fans, but that's just because you're an awesome person to be a fan of.
I'm not entirely sure where that came from. Inspiration strikes at odd times, I guess.

Re: Murphy's Law 7: ...Maybe?
If I know stories taking place in opera houses as well as I think I do, then someone, somewhere is lurking in the shadows plotting to drop that beautifully drawn chandelier on the unsuspecting audience. Maybe a Goblin with half a face.

Symmys got it right up there, you know? Besides, a nice scare and a decent comic - best way to start a Saturday I know of.

Umm... what's an Animus?
I'm hoping it's not something I should be completely familiar with.
