I have a small problem. Yesterday, after watching MLP's Season 4 first two episodes (finally!), and then reading about a blind D&D character, I came up with an OC pony idea. It's probably not particularly original, but it's something I liked. Her name is Tarot Card and she's a mare that's almost perpetually broke and thus she often takes on odd jobs (she's kinda like a mercenary). She's blind from birth, but her other senses are extremely amplified. Her name and cutie mark are somewhat misleading, because she's not actually a fortuneteller, but thanks to her hyper-senses she's able to pretend (and she did when she was younger) to have preternatural abilities. Her cutie mark has also a double meaning. It's tarot card(s), but they're also cards, which leads to card games, which leads to gambling, which leads to cheating/deceiving.
My problem is that I have no idea how I want her to look like, or at least I can't imagine anything specific.
I know her cutie mark will be tarot card(s) (duh). Something like this, this (sans the hand of course) or this maybe.
She has her eyes always closed.
Her mane would be long-ish, somewhat messy but style-ish, and multicolored.
Fur/mane/tail colors? No idea.
If I'll make her a unicorn, it would make her life kinda easier, but I don't know if I want that, because she's not only going to be an avatar, but also a character (not necessarily for a game or story, but you never know) and magic powers would be too convenient. As a pegasus she wouldn't be able to fly because of her blindness, so it would be kinda tragic in a sense. Earth pony would be just the simplest, although that would possibly make her just another Pinkie Pie or Backy (with her "super-powers"). :/
If any of you guys is up to making an avatar but also basically designing it himself, I would really appreciate it.
BTW, I really like Dirtytabs' art style.

I would love it of someone could try and draw me up a Ponytar. Here is the list, yes, it's a list, sorry.

1. A light blue Unicorn. So far so good.
2. Wearing a Browncoat. Odd perhaps but okay.
3. With a classic enterprise emblem for a cutie mark.
4. And finally a Sonic screwdriver jutting out of the pocket of the coat.

I agree that Unicorn makes a certain amount of thematic sense, but you wouldn't want to think that his deductive powers are the result of Unicorn Magic. Hence, I think Earth Pony is the way to go.

Alright then, since my original avatar disappeared for some reason, I thought the good people here might grant me a pony avatar, if it's not too much trouble of course. I'd like something styled after the Primal Rage character Vertigo.

Gender: Female
Type: Unicorn pony, the horn would look more like a curved talon than regular pony horn (since talons on horse feet sounds really weird)
Coat color: Kind of a forest green, with some violet in there? And more scaly then furry (if you can pull that off)
Mane color and style: Similar to the coat, and done up in a cobra's hood
Eye color: Green snake eye irises with yellow corneas
Cutie mark: I'm really not sure... Maybe a sinister purple hypnotic whirlpool?
Pose: Something regal, as though she's looking down on you
Expressions: I think "Sneering Contempt" is most appropriate here
Accessories or costumes: A snakes forked tongue (if that counts as an accessory), and the tail of course. The spikes along her hood and forehead would be an awesome touch. Lastly, some menacing purple energy coming from her talon-horn would look really cool
