The way I see it, it'll have fourish modes. One, using the pad thing, allowing you to do tactical movements on the screen in your controller. Two, the beforementioned screen is just a map, and it plays like normal Pikmin. Three, it'll use the (actually really superior for the game type) Wii based controls. And four, Gamecube controls. Seeing as how the Wii U is confirmed to have support for Gamecube controllers, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case.
Wiimote sideways does not count as a controller. It is... some kind of painful stick that clumsily changes the glowey lights on the screen.

The Wii has backwards Gamecube compatability and controller slots. They made games that used that for... Brawl (And a few others near launch) and then just designed games around the sideways Wiimote. THAT IS NOT A GOOD CONTROLLER. :' (

I mean that the wii controls for it would be the wii pointed and nunchuck, silly.

Yeah. The closest thing the Pikmin games have to motion controls is point-to-aim instead of a second stick. I don't know about you, but for me that makes it much easier. Same reason I could never manage Luigi's Mansion.

So, I went to an celebratory end of the school year bonfire yesterday from 7 to midnight. Sometime around 10 we decided to walk down to CVS and see if there was anything there worth chucking into the fire. We ended up buying some sunflower seeds and I then volunteered to have my nails painted, as some of the girls in our group wanted to see one of the guys with painted nails. Once it was over I, for some reason, stayed up till 5:30 taking a stroll down memory lane and compiling a giant page of my favorite serious quotes.

I ended up waking up at around 11:30 and have spent pretty much all day up till this point at a series of graduation parties. I'm so stuffed, I don't want to eat again.

Eurovision Song Contest just ended, and I suppose Sweden won, or something. Our commentators apparently are terrible at math, as it took them way too long before someone told them that it actually was impossible for Sweden to be beaten to the victory.

The Russian babushki (#2) were cute, and the Serbian ballad (#3) was quite good as well (slavic languages fit very well in ballads), so I don't disagree with anything in the top three.

And finally, I wonder how Scandinavia and the World will depict this year's competition.

Well, I suppose it can be considered ages if you're a mayfly, or a highly radioactive isotope of polonium. However, in my world, it's called "one and a half week".

Semi-related, my roommate is 44. I would have put him at 32 at the oldest. When I told him that, he laughed and said that was good, because his wife is 28. Some people just don't age. *shrugs*

I wish I could grow a beard. It's cold now and a beard would help with that.

I tend to shave where fuzz comes in early on, so I don't even have to deal with that area. I'm working on a goatee, and it's mostly just a little 'stache. Thing is, I'm 15, so it looks a little silly. My red hair does not help, and I currently look like a goatee-less version of my dad at 18.

In Austalia, the recommendation for all licensed venues is to make it house policy that "If you look under 25, we will check your ID". Most of them follow this recommendation and include that in their house policy without varying the age.

Each individual country has their own recommendations on this (particularly as some of them have differing drinking ages), and within that there are also cases where individual businesses (or groups of businesses) will take things a step further- for example the government advice over here is to ID anyone looking 21 or younger, but many businesses ID anyone looking 25 or younger now, simply because from late teens to early thirties its so much easier to misjudge a person's age than most other age groups...

I constantly get people telling me I look like I'm twelve. Except for the girl in my class, who says she initially thought I was around forty, and still insists I look and act it.

I'm not sure how one person gets that much range on apparent age, but I've got it somehow.
