I do remember middle school fondly. It was just like high school, but less people, so you were forced to tolerate the people you didn't like, because you were always going to see them no matter what you did. High school permits and encourages these 'cliques' (I love mispronouncing that word), which are not exactly bad, since humans, again, work that way and high school developed through humans deciding that was how we were going to work. Meh. Happiness is unattainable, general whining about life, small foray into nihilistic thought trains?

So yesterday as I was looking for my Orange Fairy book and taking out a couple of books, out falls a bunch of money that I had totally forgotten about. I put it all back again of course, but still.

That is the best feeling.

yeah. I have that with pants sometimes, jacket pockets, and my piggy bank which is more like a wooden puzzlebox (the puzzle is to open it) and less like a piggy. but the feeling is a great one it makes you all warm and fuzzy inside

Okay, I'll give it a shot. Or rather, I'll let my curiousity roam, as I'm still quite perplexed why the teacher would use something you wrote at a level lower than theirs for an example, and what that example would be, that both required work done by a by then older student back at a level lower than theirs and sparked such an ire among them? Also, am I right in that this example was brought up a few years ago, and then they just continued to hate you through the years?

Do you know what it was that made them decide that you were a bitch, or do you have the possibility to ask (if you excuse my nosy mind)? Irrational schoolkid hate is something that exists, after all, but you know, it should be possible to burst that bubble as well. After all, pretty much everyone manages to realise what a joke they were a few grades back.

Sounds to me like grade 7 and 8 for me. (7 is last year of primary, 8 first year of high for Aus)

Yeah, that's about where middle school is. However, people didn't really start being unpleasant to me until my freshman year of high school, (9^th grade here in the states) so perhaps it's just a regional thing? Either that or people were being unpleasant in middle school and I didn't notice, which sort of sounds like something I would do. *rambles along*

Yeah, I think it has something to do with the onset of puberty and whatnot. I hit it at approx 13yrs old which was end of grade 8, but yeah.

7th and 8th grade were fine imo, it's 3rd-6th and 9th-11th that were more or less hellish. 12-14 was a dream and 7/8 were easy...must be something like exams and not caring anymore
