Presenting, Phantom of the Opera Werewolf VI: Tropical Curse

Ah the tropics. Sunny skies, blue seas and a small playhouse designed by a Frenchman about a hundred years ago. It should be perfectly safe, after all its been kept up well, except the deepest level of the basement which got flooded. Everything should be fine, it’s not like there’s a curse regarding a Paris Opera House that could be happening soon here.

The Roles:
Good Guys: Win when all wolves are dead, extra win if both Christine and Raoul are alive at the end of the game.

Christine Daaé: A visitor to the island who is a good singer. Day Baner with 2 day cooldown, extra win condition for wolves

Raoul Chancy: He is able to protect himself and others from the Phantom's wrath. Baner

Carlotta: The prima donna of the island. Vain and self-focused, she thinks that she can tell the real identity of people, but she is not often right. Fool

Police: The police summoned by Raoul to investigate. They know each other. Masons

Visitors and Islanders. They just want to survive this madness. villagers

Megra Giry: The caretaker of the playhouse, and used to going out at night. Seer

Wolves: Win when other roles are equal to number of living wolves. Extra win: Christine lynched or night killed.

Yeah, well, finals week is happening to me unfortunately. I'll start up recruitment when I somehow manage to have time, hopefully this week. If I can't get recruitment up soon enough, I'll just push back the start date of the game. I'll have to push back the game, but I will start it eventually.

What do you do for the Wolves talking at night? They just PM each other, and who they want to kill to me?

Is there any particular reason you guys use the term Werewolves instead of Mafia? I've heard it both ways, but I'm more used to calling the game Mafia, so I'm sure I'll slip up once or twice, so just curious.

We actually use both. Depends entirely on the fluff of the game.

Generally, we use quicktopics.

PM each other and then to the narrator.

Quicktopics are generally the best way to go for both Masons and Werewolves.

Some narrators though, still use the PM system. Quicktopic is just easier.

Actually, it was first referred to as Mafia here, by just over three months. But the game never took off like the Werewolf version did. So that's the name that stuck.

Actually it was werewolf first, because the game you linked there was not actually the first ww game we had here. That first game started, and died, well before the mafia game was introduced. It didn't really take off until DM77's game though.

I'd say it's because the site as a whole is distinctly fantasy-oriented, so werewolves are more fitting.

Hey everyone, I just had an awful idea today. What do you all think of a Werewolf game where every last man, woman, and child is Nicholas Cage?



Now hold on, don't go writing off the idea so quickly. Vampire's Kiss Cage could be one of our rapid werewolves, whereas National Treasure Nick could be one of our masons! Players could dodge bees and ride flaming motorcycles in between wild accusations and enthusiastic pointing!

If I recall correctly, there was a Rivals role in at least one Werewolf, where one could only win if the other died. That should work just fine for Face/Off, and-


Hold on, let's formalize this a little. Nothing here is concrete or guaranteed, just trying to figure out what roles have Cages attached to them and what still needs working out.

Villager - Multiple Cages, as roleplayed by players.
Mason - Multiple Cages, as roleplayed by players.
Seer - Next's Cage.
Fool - Wicker Man
Baner - Kickass, or maybe Ghost Rider? *Shrugs*

Neutral Roles
Nemeses - Face/Off
Other Neutral Roles I've Forgotten About - ???

Wolf Roles
Werewolf - Multiple Cages, as roleplayed by players.
Alpha Wolf - Vampire's Kiss Cage, maybe. Or Dr. Fu Manchu. The Bad Lieutenant?
