Well, to celebrate the forums coming back online, I guess I should stop procrastinating and tell you guys about that Blanka story.

So it happened a few months ago, after a particularly cold few sets of nights. I had just got a new cover, and everything was well as I snuggled myself into oblivion for the night... But I just couldn't sleep! There were pops, snaps, and other strange sounds coming from nowhere, and whenever it seemed I closed my eyes there was a burst of light from nowhere, that didn't illuminate anything besides itself, if that makes sense.

Anyways, this continued on for a few nights, and I thought I was going completely insane.. So, one night, I decided to keep a close eye on things. I stayed awake, and still, for almost 3 hours. It was around midnight that I started getting uncomfortable, and shifting. Then, the lights appeared. But they were only on the blanket. Instantly, an idea shot into my sleepy, stupid brain as electric as the electricity coursing, admittedly strangely beautifully, through my blankets: I thought that I was Blanka, and that I could control electricity. I also remember blearily checking my skin making sure it wasn't green.

So I spent another half hour, half asleep, pushing at the air and making weird gestures, before I figured it was static electricity in my bed that was causing everything. Strange thing though, the cover doesn't ever STOP conducting electricity, to this day. Should probably find a better way of stopping the electricity from popping up than rubbing a dryer sheet over the cover every evening.

Gives me a dumb smile, thinking back on it. And I almost never smile on my own stories.

Hmm. My sister managed to purchase all of them save for number six at once as a collection, which is very convenient. Thus, I can safely say I've played all of them save for IV, which I haven't gotten around to yet, and VI which we don't have and have no plans on acquiring.

And all I can say to the garage sale thing is; damn logic.
Not the person mind you, I have no problem with Logic.

Well, be warned: IV is... different. A lot of people don't like it. I am not one of the people who didn't like it, but a lot of people didn't like it. There were some mechanics changes that I thought could/should have persisted, but apparently people didn't like adapting to new things, so they were removed in V (which you already know is basically III with better graphics).

Commonly uttered phrase at my house: "Don't you bring your LOGIC into this!"

That is a lot of static electricity. Have you looked to see if all of the product line has that issue or if yours is an aberration?

I'm sorry to hear that. Dancing is sexy. Also, awesome. And, unfortunately, we can no longer be friends.(Say, does anyone get reminded of pre-haircut Teddy by this?)

And then my sisters or father - who are a bit more thinky than I am - dismantle my half-thought with their pesky logic. My brother dismantles my BRAIN with his INSANITY. He once accidentally said that Napoleon was an explorer (he meant Magellan) and then upon observing my subsequent headsplosion, would bring up Napoleon whenever we talked about explorers. And explorers whenever we talked about Napoleon.

I'm more of a "smack upside the head" kind of guy. Although nowadays, he knows me well enough to know when he's said something that's going to require him to dodge. I don't even have to move towards him anymore - I just have to think mild violence and he picks up on it. Makes him much harder to smack.

My alignment? I'm Lawful Good by DnD alignment and White/Blue by MTG (though I'm closer to Selesnya and Boros in terms of philosophy). Living with it is... proving to be more difficult than I anticipated at this stage of my life, though still completely worth it. Just striving to do the best I can every day, and doing what I can for the people around me. Since coming to college, I've been rather more withdrawn, but I'm still trying to be an active do-gooder.
