Re: World in Conflict
The Bargula shrugs off the first attack not even being injured form the blade while being hit and failing to resist the daze of the second blow.
The rest of the Barlagulas rely on their telekenis. One attempting to grapple Jace, Tuglinok and Riordan who all must make grapple attempts.

Re: World in Conflict
SpoilerSo, I'm not totally clear on how the iterative grapple rules work, is it legal to mix grapple checks with attack rolls? In other words, if I'm taking a full round attack action and I've broken the grapple on the first attempt, can I use my second attack action to attack the guy next to me, or do they have to be separate actions?optimization is like salt. a pinch here and there can't hurt, but too much will spoil everything.

Yes the first attempt to break free is an attack action, you have a secondary attack to punch the gorilla.

Re: World in Conflict
The barlaguaaula is dazed again but Jace's sword still fails to pierce its skin.
The southern barlaguala pounces on the prone Tuglinok missing twice with both of his deadly claws but manages to get a deadly grip on Tuglinok's neck with his bite attack critically hitting for 18 points of damage dropping Tuglinok to -7.
Dropping Tug he turns his attention to Jace and Riordan.
One Barlalguala grunts to another and disappears while the other two try to grapple Riordan and Jace again (Rolling for you to speed this up). Failing to grapple Riordan but they do grapple Jace.

Re: World in Conflict
You inflict two devastating blows upon the Barlaguala and it disappears as if it was a summoned creature.
The two drakes decide to vary their tactics as you have been effortlessly dodging most of their blasts.
They 5ft step out of their cover and propel themselves towards Riordan with blinding speed, coating their bodies with a dark energy that forms into a drill that slams into Riordan.
Both attacks hit with the first dealing 14 and the second dealing 13 points of damage. Both wounds in addition are causing nasty bleeding injuries that will inflict more damage as time goes on.

SpoilerJace is going to delay until Riordan's next turn (if a creature is bull rushed out of grapple range, the grapple breaks right?). (First bull rush will be north-west into the edge of that wall, effectively limiting the bull rush to 5 ft maximum so second attack will be in attack range regardless. Second bull rush can just be somewhere into that room.)

Re: World in Conflict
Wrathful healing does not stop normal bleed effects no. This particular bleed effect actually doesn't end with a cure or a heal spell regardless so for this case its moot.

Re: World in Conflict
After defeating Sandro and taking Jace's body up to the guards you push open the doors to the next room. Fully healed and cautious you see a large empty room with two large puddles of green liquid oozing from two broken containers.
Three large snake like statues stand coiled gazing straight ahead as if watching. Along with them there are several other small snake statues scattered across the room. Near the back of the room you see two stairways leading downward.

Re: World in Conflict
While up with the guards Tuglinok leans in to talk to one of the guards. “There is a very powerful vampire nearby that we managed to reduce to gaseous form for the second time, but the coward escaped. We have no way of killing him presently ourselves, but there is a fair chance that his coffin is not inside the mansion. Find a cleric or wizard with divinations who can spare a minute or two to locate him or his coffin and send someone to stake him – They’ve been casting for nearly a day straight now, as well as I understand it. A minute will make little difference either way and eliminates an enemy of the country that almost wiped out a group easily capable of 4th circle spells. The vampire’s name is Sandro and he looks like [insert description].
[Anything roadrunner wants to add?]
-------
[In the interest of time, I’ll post for the second thing as well]
Tuglinok uses earthshock on the nearest statue in an attempt to crumble its head into chunks that can be tossed into the green liquid and watched for reactions. If that works, he does so (He’s going to use the most appropriate ability – earthshock seems like it would actually do something to stone, but if im wrong, he uses the one that would damage stone the most. Could you roll damage as needed? Thanks.)My Homebrew:

Re: World in Conflict
SpoilerIt really depends on which one deals "More damage". Elemental damage gets halved and then checked against hardness. Earth shock as blugending damage only gets checked against hardness. So if you had an elemental attack that deals twice the damage of earth shock it would be better. Regardless it doesn't matter.
Tuglinok informs the guards and heads into the room. He attempts to blast the statue with his earthshock but the blast of force seems to just phase through the statue and collide with a wall on the other side of the statue.
You hear the scampering of feet afterwords and two large canines seemingly made up of a mix of shadow stuff and ectoplasm emerge from the now obviously illusionary statue. On the other side of the room two more emerge and from the south statue two more emerge.
Tuglinok and Riordan react quickly to their appearance and go first.
