In any case, we must be really spoiled over here in Australia as you can get places with yards that size in even the inner most suburbs. Of course, there's a lot less of them available now.

Well. I spent about half of growing up in a nice area of suburbs (before we got chickens) across from a large open space area, and with a large lot, but since then I've been in a city. Homeschooling is not that limited by being in Concreteville.

Fossils! Fossils are just so cool in my eyes. I've got a soft spot for anything archaeo- or paleontological, really. It's the promise of a story, I think. Something which happened which we can only glean broken fragments from... :3

Hmm, from a logical perspective, shouldn't you test your fire alarm at the start of December instead? I mean, before you set your Christmas tree on fire or someone puts a firework through your window...

And that sunset feels a bit like the sunset I got a few days ago up at our old family farm, when it was just dropping below 0°C and we were playing around on the other side of the frozen lake. Seeing the warm colours of the sky reflect in the clear ice was a true sight to behold, it had me transfixed for many minutes... :3


Speaking of our family farm, I'll post some photos once I get the energy to search through dad's pictures. :3
