    Alyssa smiled coldly as two dragons fell before the onslaught of her companions. At the sudden whoosh of wind to her left, she silently thanked Amy for the spell that displaced her position ... she had probably just narrowly avoided being scooped up into the hidden beast's maw! Amy cast dispelling magiks upon the invisible lizard, while the others squared off against the last dragon.

    Turning her attention to dragon she could see, Alyssa called upon the power of flame to purge it from existance.

    The dragons suffer for the temerity. Baevard wields his massive hammer to deadly effect as he swings it mightily and with a dull crunch the dragon's skull shatters under the impact and the beast twitches and shudders as it dies horribly. The second dragon lashes out with its long sinuous neck and before it's teeth can land in Baevard's back Pergrim steps in and with a brutal chop removes the treacherous creature's head.

    The dragon hisses at Alyssa as the air warps around the young lady and the claws pass through the air harmlessly. Seconds later Amy lashes out with magic and the creature flickers and appears in front of the startled mage, the backlash scoring its hide, though not as much as three laser like beams of fire that punch massive holes in the beast. Both the remaining dragons hiss and bolt, the rain of roses still chasing them and harassing them as they vanish into a some 150ft away in the heart of the island...

    Led by the bizzare sight of a 20ft tall flying tree and a massive tiger the party hustle across the grisly swampy graveyard, already crows landing by the bodies of the fallen dragons now buried under a foot of bright red roses.

    The prying eyes vanish into the cave, only for a mere two to emerge seconds later, both followed by a stream of black acid. The dragons are definitely home! The other prying eyes spreading out scanning the grim traitors graves, hanging and pilloried bodies.

    As the flying tree and party reach the hole you can see the hole drops down into a chamber beneath although a thick mass of fibrous roots and tangled plants obscure the view... How far may it be!

    I'm not sure how far he can go, but he moves into the cave with the tiger. If Jeb can full attack and charge through it, he will! Otherwise, cast Evard's Menacing Tentacles and move into the cave to look around.

    ...expecting some backlash for this, but he should be able to live!

    Sharing the layout of what she had seen before the eyes returned, she whispered to the eyes to spread out and look for additional danger, reporting back within two minutes if nothing was found. Turning to the others, she nodded in appreciation at Jeb's new look and a thought occurred to her.

    "Can you carry me, noble Jeb? I have a spell that will take a few moments to bring to full power, but if you advance slowly and fling me into the cave first, I will rain down a wave of sound that may very end this battle. It would require you stay back for a bit. Otherwise, I could always bring holy fire down upon their heads ..."

    So, if we like the all-in plan, Alyssa will begin casting channeled sound burst. By the time Jeb throws her in, she'll be doing 12d10 sound damage and could permanently deafen our hosts. Of course, if it fails, she's probably dragon-snack.

    Otherwise, she'll hitch a ride and let the melee folks jump in first, then feather fall down with a holy strike or something. I'll let the group decide which they'd like to see first

    The ground ripples as Alyssa releases a massive gout of sonic energy and the entire island seems to ripple and shudder with the impact! Seconds later the party leaps down the narrow hole that vanishes into darkness through the thick layers of weeds. Baevard blessing them and the tiger and the strange flying octopus tree growing more tentacles as they fly down.



    One of the dragons lies dead its body charred by lightning and ruptured from the massive sonic blast. The earthen walled cave surrounds you reeking of sharp chemicals that burn your nostrils. The walls are a tangled mess of roots, mud and stone with water dripping constantly and gathering in dozens of small pools and ponds. Much of it collecting in a bubbling fuming pool ahead of you. Ledges packed with alchemical tools and equipment line the caverns with glass vials smashes and broken every where. On the eastern ledge a large stone tablet with 3 elaborate looking well carved stone elixirs... One of the dragons lies beside you hissing and grumpy as it lashes out with tooth and claw at Pergrim.

    Even as the dragon attacks the acidic pool hisses and bubbles surging to toxic noxious life sliding up and filling out into the form of lumbering three headed draconic beast. The things body is semi-translucent and gelatinous and streamers of acid fall from its form to sizzle and hiss on the floor. Its long neck ends in a disturbing tangle of skulls, some human, some draconic and some in between. Its 3 mouths open and a vast stream of acid sears over all of the party!

    Jeb's new plant body absorbs the acid as if water washed upon him. The white tiger, however, was no so lucky. Most of its flesh burned away and its hair was completely dissolved by the attack. The animal runs away in fear while Jeb attempts to end the life of the remaining dragon before dealing with the acid spitter with his tendrils.

    Pergrim is forced back a step by the flailing tendrils of caustic gas and yanks the Rod of Law tip from his belt, holding it as if a bar between himself and the malevolent wraith. It grows warm in his hand, and he feels strength return to his heart — and, with Amy's bolstering spell, to his arms as well.

    She gives Baervard a small smile as he stomps off to face the beast and throws her hand at the creature, trying to think of some useful magic to bring forth.

    Acid, teeth and claws lash the party leaving it under heavy assault. Without a though for their own safety the two dwarves thunder forwards blades and hammers in hand. Pergrim cutting a vast swathe of acidic gloop away from it before the massive glowing hammer tears it front legs from it. Before it can even reform its body with more acid from the pool magical star like missiles thud into, a few scoring hits as other wink out and a vast lightning bolt of glorious light flies towards it only to be extinguished by its evil nature with a fizzle.

    THe dragon does not fare well. Still reeling from the immense ball of noise the massive tentacles of the tree lash out towards it! 8 lashing msucular tentacles tearing great scaps of flesh and scale from it before the head of the beast is torn free and swallowed by the tree's freakish and tooth filled maw!

    The massive incorporeal acidic mass is no match for the power of the heroes. Amy channels power into Pergrim as he heals with the power of the Seven. Baevard and Jeb both swoop to attack before Alyssa unleashes a massive way of holy energy that literally dissolves the monster, the wave of light removing the taint from the acid!

    The chamber now purged is free to explore. Much of the treasure melted and dissolved to are useless mulch. Some treasure does remain however, amongst the packed shelves of bottles vials and jars lie 3 potent looking bottles containing clearly magical elixirs.

    Baervard flings the acid away from his warhammer after the abomination fell and wipes it off his armor with a rag, the warding protecting the simple cloth as well. Even though it wasn't eating through it yet there's no reason to take any chances. After cleaning it all away he takes a look around, noting the odd elixirs. "Strange brews, indeed."

    He walks to one of the walls and taps the head of his warhammer against it gently, listening for hollow spaces. "Think this is all there is? Seems a bit cramped for three dragons and that thing."

    Jeb replies, "It seems large enough...I'm honestly surprised that the environment supported beasts of these kinds. What have they been eating do you imagine?"

    He moves over and channels a heal to his tiger. The beasts fur slowly comes back and shifts into place. You can see a visible calm in the large cat as well.

    A thorough search reveals little else in the chamber although some sense can be made of it. At the base of now rapidly fading pool of acid you can see an exotic looking bottle of some kind that the mages quickly realise must be an elemental bottle. From the looks of the lair the mother dragon - wherever she may be, although rumoured dead - appears to have been a budding and skilled alchemist. Her 4 children less so! Its possible that the elemental bottle containing an elemental water spirit was mixed with alchemy to produce the strange undead acid wraith. THe vast piles of melted and corroded loot a suggestion that the dragons would not have wished that upon themselves.

    At the note, the name rips in Amy's mind as she recalls a strange Temple come hostel in the old town of Alhaster where various charitable peoples looked after the sick and ill with no money. That had been named the Sinner's Sanctumn. Or at least it had been 70 years ago!
