... I would think that'd be the other way around? A haircut is temporary, if you don't like it you'll only have to put up with it a few months at worst; a tattoo is more permanent.

(I mean, neither strikes me as a good idea, but haircut seems marginally less terrible.)

Frankly, this is a relief that it's just a tattoo and not the burnt in result of too close contact with an electrical outlet. But while the tattoo itself is mildly interesting and clever, the placement is questionable. Upper arm might have been better.

Still, that he's just sitting there while he's getting tattoooed, and not rigid and whimpering in pain, speaks well to his tolerance threshold.

Now we just have the spotting and stains on his shirt front and the black eye to find out about.

I don't know, I'd at least say a "normal" person would tell him he's acting odd and shouldn't do that. I'm not saying Emily doesn't tell him to do all that but she's not telling him to stop either. And Emily, as far as I recall, still has a spine.
