This golem was a custom job, costing 5x the average. It's quite possible that Bozzok has a safety switch built in that can stop her instantly.

    Thanks again, Mr. Burlew.

I haven't ever understood the "this is taking too long" complaints. We are seeing these panels as they are made (over a month or more), but to the characters it's taking place in real time. The proof is in how well the story flows in book format, which is the ultimate form of this story.

Can't Bozzok and Grubwiggler just turn this thing around with their keypad like they had on Roy as bone golem? Bozzok seemed confident Crystal wouldn't deviate from her task a few pages back. Also even if Crystal destroys them won't she still be charged up and ready to turn back toward her primary directive of killing Haley?

I'm not sure if I'd like to see both Bozzok and Grubwiggler bite the dust here, or just Bozzok.

For all we know, Grubwiggler has something that will let him stop Crystal (but only after she kills Bozzok).

The key-pad or back-door switch or whatever will turn into an exploration of the tension between free-will and programming. I can't wait.

No, because she didn't use the knife *instead* of shooting, she used it *in addition* to shooting. Check #648 again--she first shoots Crystal four times (albeit in the chest, not the face) and then finishes her off with the knife. It looks like the arrows reduced Crystal to 0 HP anyway, given she's helpless on the ground when Haley kills her.

I can imagine, say, Crystal rips Bozzok to pieces, then Grubwiggler saves himself by telling her how she can successfully commit suicide while a golem.

Then Haley waltzes in and guts the hunchback like a fish.

I wasn't expecting this because I honestly didn't think it would work. But this was amazing, and so is Haley. Although I do find it immensely sad that she thinks she needs killing.

Well. I must say, I wasn't expecting this kind of resolution to the problem - I wasn't even sure there was enough of Crystal's intelligence left to make a diplomacy check against her. But definite points for creativity - and given that Bozzok probably doesn't stand much of a chance versus Crystal (since, unlike her, he probably doesn't get free levels every time the party does), this will probably wrap up the resolution of the whole Thieves Guild subplot quite nicely.
    Everything dissolves into blue.

    Does NO ONE understand "metaphor"?

Haley did not LITERALLY mean "I shot you in the face with arrows", she means "I at least was up front about my relationship with you".

Why do people feel the need to get all overly-literal and overly analytic. Seriously.

This has to be right up there in the list of best-"animated" pages to date. Crystal and Hayley moving from the streets to the beach is just brilliant. The backgrounds and characters' expressiveness are just getting better and better.

On-topic though, I would never have expected that to work. But I guess it is there in the rule book.
