Re: Simple Q&A by RAW for Pathfinder 4
Q424
In the Iron Gods adventure path there are several variations on normal robots. Basically they're the robot as its found in the Bestiary except with class levels. They even have their own special names listed. (eg. Guardian Mannequin Robot instead of Security Mannequin Robot in the Valley of the Brain Stealers.)
When building new robots can these variants be built from scratch with their class levels included? Or can one only build the Bestiary version and its up to the DM to figure out how they got their class levels?
Q425
How about when building constructs solely based on their CR; would that change the above answer at all?
Edit:
Q426
And I swear this is for a real game... How much gp would a solid diamond Intellect Devourer be worth?
Spoiler: We found a workaround...
A small creature can only have so many fine objects occupy its space (1,000) and gems are fine objects.
As diamonds are 5,000gp at their cheapest the solid diamond intellect devourer could be worth 5,000,000gp.
Metropolises in PF are capped at 200,000gp in trade funds for PCs so it would take hitting up 25 metropolises to cash in this obscene wealth. Using planar travel and teleportation is highly advised.
In reality we're probably going to wind up using the thing as a hood ornament for our flagship spaceship.

An Eldritch Scion with Bloodrager Draconic Bloodline gets at breath weapon at level 8 when in Mystical Focus.
Is the Save DC for this breath weapon attack Con based or Cha?Last edited by RinceyNZ; 2015-12-25 at 06:28 AM.

Re: Simple Q&A by RAW for Pathfinder 4
A427: It's Con-based - the bloodline feature in the Eldritch Scion doesn't change any of the DC calculations for that bloodline, so whatever stat the bloodline says a Bloodrager needs to use stays the same for the ES.

Re: Simple Q&A by RAW for Pathfinder 4
Q 428
An Eldritch Scion or Bloodrager with the Draconic Bloodline gets Dragon Form at 16th level that allows them to take the form of their bloodline dragon as per Form of the Dragon II.
Form of the Dragon II allows the use of a breath weapon twice per casting of the spell, waiting 1d4 rounds between uses.
428 a) I am assuming these breath weapon uses can't be used as this would add to the 2 breath weapons they already get?
428 b) Or does it just mean they can use two 16d6 bloodline breath weapons per day and two 8d8 breath weapons from the FotD II?
428 c) If so I would assume all of the rounds they can assume Dragon Form during a day count as one "casting" of the spell so they couldn't take dragon form for 4 rounds in the morning use two 8d8 breath weapons and then take dragon form again later in the day and use more 8d8 breath weapons?

Re: Simple Q&A by RAW for Pathfinder 4
A428 Relevant FAQ:
"For example, if you have an ability that allows you to gain the Stunning Fist feat for a limited period of time and you use it 3 times. Those uses count against your total number of uses should you temporarily gain Stunning Fist again later that day....Once used, they are consumed for the day, even if you gain the ability again."
Your 8th Level Bloodrager Power Breath weapon is different than Form of Dragon Breath weapon. So at level 16, you'd have 2 uses of each.
It doesn't matter if you Bloodrage once for 20 rounds, or 10 times for 2 rounds each, you'd still have 4 uses total.

Q 429: Does Weapon Specialist (PPC:WMH) scale with your levels and give you bonus feats when your WT raises by one or does it only work once, the moment you pick it?

Re: Simple Q&A by RAW for Pathfinder 4
A429: As written it "snapshots" once, but you can always retrain it when your bonus is higher (using the "retrain a class feature" or "retrain level" options) to move it further up in your progression and get more feats added later.

Re: Simple Q&A by RAW for Pathfinder 4
A430a: No, the breath weapon you get from the FotD spell/SLA is completely different than the supernatural one you get from the bloodline. You use them separately and calculate their DCs differently; they also do different amounts of damage. (The one from FotD is fixed at 8d8, while the one from your bloodline scales with level, i.e. up to 20d8, but has much more limited uses per day.) The fact that both technically originate from your bloodline is irrelevant, they are still very different abilities in the end.
A430b: Actually, Bloodragers have full caster level even though they don't get casting at 1st level. The line that would make their caster level lower than their character level (similar to the line found in the paladin and ranger entries) was intentionally omitted by the designers.

A431: As written this item is limited to sorcerers, but extending it further shouldn't be too much of a stretch for your GM. (Though of course, one could also argue that true sorcerers should be the bloodline masters.)

Re: Simple Q&A by RAW for Pathfinder 4
Q 432
If I polymorph into a dragon whilst wearing armor +1/Poison-resistant (or any other constant effect that doesn't require activation). I lose the armor bonus of the armor and the +1 enhancement bonus, but do I lose the Poison Resistance?
From CRB:
"When you cast a polymorph spell that changes you into a creature of the animal, dragon, elemental, magical beast, plant, or vermin type, all of your gear melds into your body. Items that provide constant bonuses and do not need to be activated continue to function while melded in this way (with the exception of armor and shield bonuses, which cease to function)."
Since the poison resistance is not an armor bonus, it seems it should still work...

Q433
In the ship rules it gives a passengers/cargo. Is this the ammount of passengers or cargo, or can a ship carry both at the same time?
Example: Cargo/Passengers 50 tons/160 passengers Is this fifty tons and 160 passengers?
As a side note, is the amount of passengers including the crew?

A433
Cargo/Passengers is both:
The amount of cargo (in tons) a ship can hold, as well as the number of non-crew passengers it can carry.
Crew 1 (the pilot, who is also a rower, plus up to 1 additional Medium rower)
...
Cargo/Passengers 1,000 pounds/up to 3 passengers (a rowboat can carry a total of 4 Medium creatures, either as crew or passengers)

Re: Simple Q&A by RAW for Pathfinder 4
A435: No, the smoke dissipates on your next initiative count (and therefore won't impede your attack roll.)
Effects that last a certain number of rounds end just before the same initiative count that they began on.
Any reason Quicken rods wouldn't work? Or a staff with quickened healing spells stored in it?
I don't know of anything more specific myself but maybe someone else would...Plague Doctor by Crimmy

Q 436
If a large creature is standing in a 10ft square of difficult terrain centered on it, does the first square it moves count as difficult terrain? In other words, do you pay a penalty if any of your squares are in difficult terrain even if the only squares you're moving into are not difficult terrain?

A436 dispute? Actually, I'd say it still counts, because your "back half" is moving into squares containing difficult terrain if you are also large. It only stops counting once all of you is out of the whole area.

Re: Simple Q&A by RAW for Pathfinder 4
A 438 Addendum Bolt Aces get Dex to Damage for Crossbows as well. Unchained Rogues can get Dexterity to damage on Finessable Thrown weapons, which in general mean Light weapons. Long and Shortbows seem out of luck, however.
A 440 Given that a creature with natural reach isn't gonna have spells suppressed by Dead or Antimagic areas kick in if it pummels someone outside the area, I don't think reach weapons are treated any differently.
