At what point? Year 11 A.D? It isn't meant to be related to the 'Russ' title, otherwise I'm sorry but I don't understand the reference. It's just a perfectly normal, good old fashioned GitP-related heresy reference.

If the message doesn't get through, and the ship is destroyed, then the Imperium loses this solar system and is going to be taken by surprise by the incoming fleet, causing the loss of more ships. As with the Navigator, this message has to get though - the lives of a few dozen Wyrds are inconsequential compared to the lives of thousands of miners, hundreds of thousands of Naval personnel and the continued supply of Prometheum to the rest of the Imperium, which fuels everything from Tanks to Valkyries and thus is utterly indispensable across hundreds of other battlefields.
Actually, considering the rarity of actual useable psykers, then im certain that a group of trained astropaths are not in fact more worth than a few hundre thousand soldiers.
But instead of actually letting them focus on getting a message though, and it should be pointed out here thats all you need, since whoever got that message outside of the shadow can pass it on, then you got Comisars doing what they do best, getting in they way of things in a manner that is so typical of them.

So i think "Thread XI: Juggling The Idiot Baal" is a very fitting thread

The Crotalid is from the Deathwatch RPG. When their population grows too large to sustain they travel to new worlds through the Warp.

Not sure about the frog. I'd assume he's referring to the Catachan toad that emits several miles worth of toxic gas when disturbed.

I am still for "All Hail the Man-Emperor of Mankind!" but in a pinch I am for "Notice us Sternshield-senpai!"

As an alternative suggestions I am for "Warhammer 40k Fluff Thread XI: When in doubt, set something on fire Exterminatus!"

    New Thread.

I still think 'Forge Better Narratives' is better.
