Smug self satisfaction aside, I'll say this as someone actually working in media: Anyone who actually buys a Blue Yeti as their first microphone is a complete tool with more money than sense. I'll go one step farther and say that any parent who gives their child the hundred plus dollars to buy such a device no questions asked doesn't deserve children, because they also have more money than sense.

It's just a more expensive microphone, when a cheaper one would probably be fine for what she needs.

And as we all know, spending any more money on a hobby than is absolutely necessary is a mortal sin.

Ya but she saved up her own money not spending her dads.

Also she is FOURTEEN. More than likely she was super excited about the idea and decided to buy the best one she could and didn't really research it.

It isn't really that unrealistic, I saved up and spent like 100 dollars on a giant stuffed animal when I was in like 6th grade. Making super big stupid purchases goes with growing up

Meh, I own a blue yeti and just wanted some table microphone with headset output which I never intended to use for anything beside for skype so I just choose one that had good reviews. I have it for four years now 100 Euro really aren't that much for something you will keep for a while.

But... but... you are wearing one, right now. I can see it. Just above the monocle. And the pipe.

I've spent considerably more than that on (technically cosplay) costume items I only wear once or twice a year. And people will spend that amount on wine bottles that are no better than $5 wine bottles to the taste... but give them far more happiness precisely because they spent much more on them. Human psychology is a weird place.

This was funny, but also kind of sad. For a moment Marigold forgot she was an adult, she just wanted to play. Then she remembered she WAS grown up and decided she couldn't be that free and happy anymore...

Sam's going to be looking at Dale funny when they meet from now on.

(I'm glad to see that, after the time skip, Dale and Mar-bear are still together. So far all the relationships have survived. We'll see if that continues.)

It's more like she wrongly assumed that adults can't hang around kids at all. I mean, granted she did just meet this girl (or maybe met her once or twice before), but at the same time, she was teaching her something, helping her get started in what may well becime a full-time job (Angus made a living as a professional Strawman for a while, and I'm sure somebody had had a more ridiculous job, so a teenaged Let's Player making a couple thousand a year doesn't seem to far-fetched).

I recently purchased a Blue microphone for use while gaming (and recording music) and possibly streaming.

I got a Blue Snowball because a streamer I appreciate said that he liked his.

Turns out the Blue Snowball has issues with Windows 10, so I'll have to going into my BIOS and do some work arounds to get the damn thing to to work.

Im not sure how old marigold is exactly, but I can certainly understand her being a little freaked out at the thought of following a teenage girl she just met home. Its a bit of an odd thought and speaking as the uncle of a teenage girl, I would be a little confused/disturbed/skeeved if someone in their mid twenties I had never met before came home with her and wanted to hang out.

If Sam is Marten's step-sis by this time, officially or otherwise, she and Marigold have probably bumped into each other several times before. Although it would appear they're not bosom buddies.

Okay, who let Pintsize near the cake batter again?

Hopefully this won't result in him ruining his chassis - again - and having to get an anthropomorphic one. The things Pintsize could do with fingers alone...

It's a lot grosser in the context of a human for a very specific reason: brownie batter and fecal matter have rather distinct grossness levels. Given the context of surprise brownie batter though, I could easily see that as a totally acceptable in-group prank in some social contexts. It would require a group that approves of practical joking, but any group analogous to Pintsize and May fits that pretty well.
I would really like to see a game made by Obryn, Kurald Galain, and Knaight from these forums.

I'm not joking one bit. I would buy the hell out of that.

I like this, Faye seems to really like her work and is getting along really well with everyone there. Of course, now that we see this I fully expect a sting operation to shut down the robo fighting ring and possibly get faye in big trouble.

There are some hints that humans and AI's are treated slightly differently by the law. Simply because humans and AI's are different. It would not surprise me at all if Pintsize recommended this assuming she would get at most a "slap on the wrist," if caught, and that would be true if Faye was an AI.

Another possibility is that the robots are assuming that authorities would only care about the fighting. Which is a minor offense. While overlooking the fact that the chassis they use are military grade. They might end up being charged with something like black market arms smuggling.

Also, as someone not that into Western RPGs... do people really settle for one side? I mean, I guess with an MMO i can kind of see why you would have one main character with one allegiance, but with something like Mass Effect (that's where Renegade's from, right? ) wouldn't you try out different paths with different levels of good and evil? That's what I do, anyway.

Oh, also: Yeah, Hanners did change a lot but I still instantly recognized her. I think because it had to be her, characterwise, what with being with Marigold and all.

I've mentioned this before, but from what I can tell, the big trouble everyone involved would get into if they ever get busted would be tax evasion.

It seems a question of predominant tendencies, for me at least. For example, I'm predominantly Paragon when I play my Shepard, except where something pushes his buttons, or suggests itself to be a better pragmatic choice than it is a moral one. (tending to kill instead of neutralize people that stand in the way, reacting violently to people jeopardizing anything he sees as "his", choosing the blue switch over the red one to take that control to the logical conclusion, etc.) A better example would probably be the Light Side/Dark Side alignment system in SWTOR, where dogmatically following one side in lockstep until the very end of the storyline leads one to make some very questionable choices. Marigold is probably talking about instinctually playing her Shepard as more of a jerk, whereas Dale plays his as more of a clear-cut hero, in the same circumstance.
