The horned warrior looks mildly curious. "Why look for a prison, humankin?", he shrugs as Aerin charges towards him and blocks her attack. "It matters not. You die now." He swings the falchion again.

At the same moment, two smaller green-scaled humanoids, who'd been hidden by the wall from the view of anyone in the corridor, step forward and strike her from both sides. They look to be the same kind as the sneaks she fought earlier in the upper floor.

G is badly wounded guard, though she's still alive.

Their blades cut deep, but the tough warrior remains standing.

Most look to be dead, but one hand on the far side of the room makes a small movement. One motionless sneak also lies on the ground.

With her instincts guiding her, Aerin dodges the worst of the acid (unlike August), then moves in to surprise her foe with a devastating blow that slices his chest open from side to side. The horned warrior falls on his knees clutching his wound, not even having enough breath to curse.

    Nice crit!
And look at that, exactly at 0 HP.

Since this enemy is disabled, has the situation changed so that Aerin would want to change her orders to August? (You can do it as a free action.)
I will post his and the enemy's turn after a confirmation either way.

The warrior grimaces when he's slashed again, but the healing potion has given him enough vigor to stay standing. ”I don't think so, humankin”, he says, taking a step to the side. He throws a quick glance to the corridor Aerin came from and smirks, then grabs a bottle of some glowing oil and spreads it on his falchion. One of the sneaks comes running towards them.

There's another shape approaching from the other corridor as well, now fully in Aerin's view. But this is not the second the sneak, but a middle-aged human in a guard's scale mail with also a badge attached to the front of his cloak; a mark of rank probably. He has a longsword in one hand and a small half-full sack in the other. He's keeping near to the wall, clearly trying to be stealthy, with all the skill of a large man in metal armour of course. But the dragonkin appear to be too focused on Aerin to have noticed yet.

The first one picks itself up and puffs its cheeks to blow a burst of cold air at them.

"Wha... Yeah, I just... raided our potion stash", the guard replies, his voice a bit slurred as he eyes the room, "got a wounded back there too. You don't look so good either, should have one yourself." Only then does it register to him what Aerin really said and he rushes to the fallen guard's side. "Sandra? You alive?", he puts the sack on the ground, grabs a potion from it and pours its contents to his colleague's mouth. He looks at the other, very dead, bodies and their fresh blood still spilling out on the floor, his expression horrified. "Gods..."

From what Aerin can see, there appears to be at least 10 healing potions in the sack he put down.

    Spoiler: OOC

5 CMWs and 8 CLWs potions, to be exact, though the guard just used one of the latter.

    The scaly warrior's gear:

-3 potions, none are the usual colour of a healing potion. Aerin can try Knowledge(local) to identify 1 of them.
    -1 bottle of oil
    -silk rope 50 ft.
    -1 bag of caltrops
    -light crossbow
    -27 bolts
    -52 gp
-masterwork falchion (currently under the effects of a magical oil), but doesn't seem magical itself, however there is a vivid coloured crystal attached to the handle that is removable

He's wearing no armour, having put his trust in his thick hide. Evidently this was a mistake.

The crystal comes loose and when brought close to Aerin's sword it sticks to the hilt, as if by a strong magnet. The force is strong enough that there is no fear of it falling off by accident. A small flash of light goes through the sword, but leaves no visible change after it's gone.

While she does these things she hears the guards talk to each other. The woman called Sandra, an elf, still looks pale and she drinks another potion while confirming what the look of the room already suggests; she and the other guards were eating dinner before their night shift when the dragonkin had attacked. "We didn't even see the big one with horns come in", she says, her voice trembling, "Chel's... throat just suddenly burst open and the creature appeared behind him. He must have used invisibility, or- No, I can't think of anything else. Then the smaller ones poured in. It lasted just seconds. They- everyone died... except Geff... I think he got out."

"Yeah", the human guard says, "He ran to the office." A realisation comes to him. "Right, I was going to bring the potions for him." He grabs the potion sack and stands up. The elf stares at him.

"Have you been drinking again, Lieutenant?", Sandra asks, the accusation in her tone pushing past the shock.

"Arh, be quiet and get up!", the Lieutenant snaps, "It's not safe here yet." He starts to head for the corridor where he came from.

    Spoiler: Aerin
    Show
Oh right, Aerin also gets 1000 XP from the fight.

"Wait, where's the prison?" Aerin asks. "They're all over the castle; I'd advise getting out or staying with me if you don't have something specific to do here. Don't think the two of you--or even the three of us--can retake the castle, because we can't. One of you might want to use this," she holds up the falchion. "He put some kind of oil on it to attack me, right before he died. Where's the prison?"

The Lieutenant turns around. "Prison's this way too", he says, "Why are you looking for it? Wait, who are you anyway?" He squints, trying to focus. "You look like a stranger, but I can see you're not with these monsters, whatever they are."

Sandra gets up and takes the falchion when Aerin offers it. "Not my favourite weapon, but better than my own sword. That one's got rust on it." She's trying to pull herself together and stay calm. "Retake the castle? You mean more there's more attacks?" She pauses. "Of course there must be, who would kill just a group of guards."

"Since I left the front hall, you're the first people I've seen alive who weren't lizard assassins. I've seen lots of corpses and this wasn't the first group of lizard assassins I fought. There's a priest in prison who I need to get out. If there's anyone else who you think is likely to still be alive, I can help you try to reach them too if we do it quickly. Then I'm going to leave the castle and not try to come back in without an army, and I strongly suggest you do the same. My name's Aerin; I was in town for the tournament."

"Rowan, I could use some of your magic.". Eglantine spoke quickly as her brother passed her before she evaded the attacks. She swung her axe at the creature in front of her.

"Priest? What priest?", the Lieutenant stares, "Don't recall there being any priest locked up. ...Or do you mean the boy who was put in for stealing? He might have worked in a temple or somethin'. Huh, you're not the first to come looking for him. This girl and an older elf came in just before Geff got shot. Right, Geff.", he turns to go, "Need to see that he's healed first."

Sandra nods and follows him. She winces as she walks, her wounds still causing her pain.

Attack the one on the ground.

    Attack:(1d20-4)[14]

Eglantine slashes with her axe again, and the hordeling limps away shrieking. The other is unable to stop its movement and continues to glide straight towards Eggy, trying to knock her down.

    Spoiler: Eglantine

For simplicity's sake, I'll assume that Rowan went ahead for know, as it makes finishing this faster.

    H3 turned around and fled.
H2 tries to trip Eggy, she gets an AoO.

    If that fails,
Roll an opposed Str or Dex against (1d20-4)[14]
If you win this, you can try to trip it instead. If it wins, Eggy falls prone.

Aerin pauses to regain her maneuvers before hurrying after the two guards.
