What is your deal, ThePhantom? Two votes for me on two days in a row, neither with the slightest trace of an explanation.

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
I think private communication and anti-claim mechanics would improve this sort of thing quite a bit, particularly masons.
Otherwise with open setups, or even closed, everybody just claims to the network all the time.
That said I voted Kish d1 and I'll do it again. Would rather not lynch Murska, even if it might balance stuff.

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
I don't really have anything, except definitely not lynching Murska. So the obvious choice would be to vote for Murska because he voted for Murska, but there's a small problem there. I'll vote AvatarVecna for the vote on Ramsus yesterday that was severely lacing in reasoning.

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
The day was quiet in the vault. The Overseer had been in their midst the whole time, and no one had known it until they chose to kill. The finality that there truly is nowhere safe is finally sinking in to the vault as a whole. People dart past each other in the corridors, some barely daring to make eye contact with anyone else, desperately trying to find something that could be useful to protect themselves. Scrounging seems to be on everyone's mind, as people pour over every inch of the vault. The clang of metal on metal reverberates through the Vault as even the walls aren't immune to the frenzied search. A loud shout breaks through the air and everyone's head perks up. A crowd soon forms around three people as the residents race towards the voices.
"Don't try to deny it! You're stealing my supplies!" The first man looms over the second two who look at each other with wide eyes.
"No we weren't!" Kish tries to deny the claim, but the guilt on his face is clear.
"Aww, Gary! Haha, Gary!" Generic-Guy looks just as guilty and breaks out into stammers.
"Are you mocking me? You steal what little I've been able to find, and you're mocking me?" The man's eyes seem to bulge and his whole face reddens.
"Gary! Gary! Gary!" Generic-Guy's eyes fill with terror as he seems unable to say anything else.
"You leave him alone! It's me you want!" Kish stands in front of Generic-Guy defensively.
The man takes a deep breath, and seems to deflate slightly, though his eyes never leave Generic-Guy's face. He stoops, feigns picking up his pack and rises, smoothly delivering a devastating uppercut to Kish's chin. Unprepared for the savage attack, Kish's body actually lifts off the ground slightly before crashing into a heap on the floor. Generic-Guy covers his mouth but cannot stop himself from crying out, "Gaaaaarrryyyy!" Voices of protest ripple across the crowd, but the man stalks around Generic-Guy, wild eyes sliding from face to face, daring any to come against him.
"He knew what he was doing! He chose this path!" The man screams at Generic-Guy, who finally finds his wits and tries to run. The man easily grabs him by the collar and lifts him off the ground. Various food items and small tools fall from Generic-Guy's arms as his feet leave the floor. "I know where there's a place for people like you!" Generic-Guy twists and writhes, but is unable to break free. The man carries him out of the room and towards The Box, jamming Generic-Guy into it. "You belong in here like any criminal!"
"Gary! Gary! Gary!" Generic-Guy strains against the small prison and tries to break out. "NO!!!!"
It isn't until night falls that anyone thinks to look for the key to let him out. It, along with the Security Officer who carried it, are still nowhere to be found. The other thief manages to escape further torment, but lays low to recover overnight.
Generic-Guy has been imprisoned for life. He was a Resident.
Kish has been voided.
Did not vote: Duneyrr, Elenna, Thematthew.

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
Cries of "Gary!" echo through the night. That single word, repeated at different intensities and times pounds in the resident's brains. There were a few haphazard attempts to free the man, but no one possessed the tools or the knowledge on how to get him out. It was wordlessly decided to leave him to his fate, knowing the Overseer and his goons would soon be slinking about. It was assumed that the man in The Box would soon be silenced, but the hours dragged on with no sign of his voice being quieted. Eventually, one resident's patience cracked and he screamed back at the man, racing towards him.
"ENOUGH!! STOP YOUR YELLING!" Cuthalion cried back at the man, clearly at his wit's end. "If you keep it up, I'll end you myself and save the Overseer the trouble!"
"Now why would you want to do that and take the satisfaction away from me?" An oily voice answered Cuthalion's cry suddenly and he couldn't help but yelp in surprise. Figures moved in from the shadows and stared at Cuthalion with interest. "Go on then. End him for me."
"Nnn- no. No, I-I-I won't. I'm not a killer. I'm not evil, not like you all!"
"Evil? You think that I, that we, are evil?" The figures start laughing, and one brandishes a weapon. "No, I don't think that history will remember it quite that way. I'll be the one there to tell it, after all. Your story, on the other hand..."
The Overseer makes a motion with his hand, and a green burst of light blinds Cuthalion. A shriek of pain is heard, and Cuthalion blinks through his hazy vision. Where the imprisoned man once was, now lay a pile of glowing green goo. "It's so much more meaningful when people see what's in store for them." The Overseer sighed nostalgically. "Don't say I never did anything for you." A second motion produces a second blinding green flash, but Cuthalion is beyond caring about such things.
Cuthalion has been gooified. He was the Lone Wanderer.
Begin Day 4.
A loud hiss startles everyone in the morning and a robotic voice crackles through the speakers.
The overseer is not in control. Resist his machinations.Last edited by flat_footed; 2017-03-16 at 11:26 AM.

I guess I'll just vote for
Kish again? Murska was voting for him at the end of the previous day phase so I know it's not a town power role at least. *shrug*Last edited by Ramsus; 2017-03-14 at 04:23 PM.

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
Well, provoking discussion... I was sleeping in my cryo-box till this guy Duneyrr knocked, woke me up and lay down in my stead inside the freeze. He didn't say much, just that this place is crazy and I should watch my back... have to read the log files to make my mind up but I hadn't much time on the weekend because I was working out. So... I hope to get to a point where I can point soon...

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
Well, ok, there is a network and everyone is waiting for Murska to point?
So, I point at Xihirli because of a) Thematthews argument and b) rolling a dice to determine his lynch target on day 4Avatar by the great Lord Herman. Many, many thanks!

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
Since Kish and Xihirli seem to be the suspects du jour, perhaps they could make their cases as to why they shouldn't be lynched and present their opinions on who is the most suspiscious.

Re: Fallout 1: Global Thermonuclear War
I shouldn't be lynched because no one's given a reason I should be.
In light of that,Xihirliwas oddly eager to second voting for me. (My first choice would still be Ramsus, whose reaction to town forming a network was to say the network shouldn't do anything, which continues to mystify me that apparently no one else saw it as the wolfiest thing ever--but it is apparent that no one else finds it suspicious, and it is true that the person who immediately jumped in to support him, Generic-Guy, turned out to not be a wolf.)Last edited by Kish; 2017-03-14 at 04:21 PM.
