What is this "Time" you speak of? Now I want to see erfworld beat OotS in something. (Don't worry, I'm still OotS through and through) Erf has serious potential though.

Re: Em's Extremely Extraordinarily Epic Random Banter #91
As a student of history, I'd just like to point out that it is my considered opinion that not only do people study history while drunk, but a large number of those who made history were drunk as well. We have evidence in many cases, and it would quite easily explain most of the rest of them.

You know Hoggy, if you went to college parties (UK college) anywhere you could have gotten drunk. They say there isn't any alcool but there always is.
Of course, I'm always skint so I can never buy a ticket to go. And I wouldn't drink anyway.

Aha! And now I remember the word I was looking for since two threads ago or something...
That word is "Catharsis". I think I was going to use it when the topic of conversation was Greek Mythology.
Well, I just wanted to say I am happy I remembered it. Continue with your discussion. So I herd you liek Mudkipz by Mr. Saturn

Yeah, my great-grandparents were alcoholics (died of it) and you can still see the effects in my grandfather and father's behavior patterns...I think I'll stay away from the stuff.

Since I can't think of any interesting way to say "Happy birthday", I'll just say:

Had to run out and get some doggie chow when I realised we were out when I went to feed Da Mutt. While driving out on our freshly-graded dirt road, I came this >< close to running over a woodcock.

Re: Em's Extremely Extraordinarily Epic Random Banter #91
For some reason this statement strikes me funny. I can just picture a booth on the side of some road selling the chance to almost run over a woodcock. And there would be a long line of bird lovers lined up and they would try to poke the woodcock as they drove by.
Okay I know i'm bored when I start rambling about crazy stuff like that.Spoiler

We really ought to all chip in on this idea. To pay for advertising and overhead. Just imagine how much money we could make!

Re: Em's Extremely Extraordinarily Epic Random Banter #91
Entirely true. Part of the reason that WW1 was such a mess was that most of the people fighting it were monged on booze and liquor.
Standing policy in the British Army was that an officer was competent to fight until he became more than a bottle of whisky-a-day man. After that, he had to be rotated back to Blighty to sober up. It usually took about 3 months of being in the front line to drive someone to 2 bottles-a-day and complete alcoholic breakdown.
They also used to issue whiskey to the RFC flyers before every flight. Partially to keep out the cold, partially for Dutch courage, and partially to counteract the diuretic effect of the fumes from the castor oil they used as engine lubricant back then.
History: when boiled down it can be described as the human quest to find sex, cash and sweet, sweet booze.
