You can use this thread for posting acceptance speeches, congratulating the winners, complaining about the results, suggesting a theme for a future contest, or eating waffles.
The next contest will start in one week - I think I'll always have a one-week break between contests from now on.Last edited by Lord Herman; 2008-03-09 at 02:03 PM.

Re: Gamers in the Playground [results]
Thank you, thank you. I am awesome. You either did or should have voted for me.
I don't recall saying I'd make a gigantic acceptance speech, so I won't.
Now, suggestions:
-Planets in the Playground (Standard but interesting)
-Constellations in the Playground (could be a bit out there...)
-Metals in the Playground (No. Clue.)
-Consoles in the Playground (Xbox 360, Wii, Playstation 3, and PC... who will win what? Possibly by type player instead of by system?)
-Donuts in the Playground (...yummy?)
-Genres in the Playground (I feel bad for the boring person who gets stuck with nonfiction. )
-Greek/Norse (choose one) Heroes/Gods (choose one) in the Playground (Hey, it could be fun. Who is most like Odysseus or Heracles?)

Re: Gamers in the Playground [results]
Well then, come up with some yourself. I'm tossing every idea out there that comes to mind, if only to try and start people's thought processes.
And furthermore, ask yourself this: was that comment really necessary in any way at all? Did it serve a purpose? Are you suggesting that we stop doing this because it is tired and old, or are you just disparaging my ideas?

Re: Gamers in the Playground [results]
Wow, thanks everyone! I'm really really thrilled to come back from the weekend to see this.
*Inflict Mass Huggles*
I'd really like to thank Banjo for his support. He'd definately have beaten me if he hadn't chosen to campaign for me. Now elected as Joker, I hope to continue to make amusing posts in the upcoming werewolf games, as well as in Town. This does of course depend on people keeping me alive in upcoming werewolf games.
And, if time permits, I'd like to branch out into H.A.L.O. a bit, but I'm not sure that I can devote the time necessary to it right onw.
Also, I'd love to thank the many people who have RP'ed with me in one place or the other. Oh, and Lord Herman for running these contests. Lord Herman is great!!inner circle Legionary of Resiliance
I love my Ceikatars!

Re: Gamers in the Playground [results]
Well, thanks to those who gave me support in the nominations (catching me completely by surprise, by the way), and those brave souls who dared to vote for me in the polls - all two of you.

But clearly it was not meant to be. I shall have to live in the shadow of giants henceforth. No different from real life, that.
