Ye Olde West III – Cowboys in Space!
    (The Cowboy Bebop/Trigun edition)

There are few things one can do in space, but for a group of interplanetary travelers, the ship they are on has been infested with the best and the worst space has had to offer. As both deaths occur and credits go missing, there’s only one thing you can do. Cause in space, no one can hear you scream….

    Syndicate (Outlaws)
    Spoiler
    Show

Vicious - Syndicate Leader - When scried, looks like townsperson. Chooses members of the Red Dragon.
Red Dragons - (WereWolves for killing.) When the number of townspeople left = number of outlaws - Outlaws win.
Udai Taxim - Syndicate Devil: Syndicate member who through underground resources can see who's who. Can’t tell how much money they hold.

    Bernardelli Insurance Company (Bandits)
    Spoiler
    Show

Meryl Stryfe - Insurance leader - When scried, looks like a townsperson. Chooses employees to help her “collect” on debt owed for space travel.
Bernardelli employee - ("Werewolves" for stealing.) When the amount of credits = 85% of the total money left. The insurance company wins. Credits will go into a pool. If an employee is killed or lynched, the pool will lose money that employee is holding. If the company locates Vash the Stampede. They can prevent him from protecting money (as he is easily distracted by the beautiful women). The money in it is still retained by the player, but the safe is no longer available for protection.
Milly Thompson - Company Devil – Investigates at night to see who is holding money, and how much. May also find where the Vash the Stampede is. Does not scry roles.

    Adventurers (Good Guys!)
    Spoiler
    Show

Spike Spiegel – (Former Red Dragon – Seer): Since leaving the Red Dragons and becoming a bounty hunter, Spike knows how to spot a criminal just by looking them in the eye.
Faye Valentine – (Fool): Thinks she knows as much as the Spike does, but her inexperience is just too much to make a good judgment call.
Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV – (Day Baner): At night sends submission on who to protect from an ejection the next day. Ed is known to hack into and short out the airlock to protect someone from an ejection.
Jet Black – (Night Baner): Protect one person each night by bringing them into the holding station.
Vash the Stampede – (aka Banker - "Money" Baner): Can protect someone from getting robbed by causing a distraction thus forcing the insurance company to investigate elsewhere.
Bounty Hunters – (Masons): Trusted men who know each other and are looking for the reward of capturing the bad guys.
Adventurers – (Villagers): Want to keep their money and their lives.

Adventurers can transfer credits via PM to the narrators. If the Syndicate kills or Bernardelli’s take from a person exchanging money that night, the transfer fails (as if it never happened). When you transfer money, your name will be given to the person you transfer to. Both will receive the PM. example: Supagoof gives 5 coins to Raldor.

Everyone starts with coins (via PM and at random). Syndicate and Bernardelli’s are to be hung for killing or taking. When number of Bad Guys = 0, Ship wins. Anytime someone dies, the money and stuff they are holding is lost to the auction.

The planets! (dessert) Each day, you can choose to go search the planet for lost loot. The planet grid will have loot from killed persons placed at random amongst it, along with profits from the store. Each day you can publicly post which sector of the planet you want to search by posting the number in blue. First one to search the area shall receive what loot lies in it. The number of sectors on a planet is determined by number of players in the game. Like 30 alive = 30 sectors....ANY TREASURE NOT FOUND WILL AUTOMATICALLY FLOW INTO THE INSURANCE COMPANY’S POCKET. That is a change from the last game, and will help the insurance company keep on track this time. So, it pays to search!

Space Station! A small store in which you can spend your credits on useful items. Things like maps to find where stuff is buried, bullets for your pistols to kill anyone who sneaks into your barrack, a detective kit to figure out someone’s role, and others to be placed into the store. To purchase an item simply PM a narrator. Prices subject to change daily upon availability of items. Credits spent at the store is buried by store-keeper in the planet. Items in store may not be traded.

Auction! Every time someone is killed, their stuff goes up for sale at the auction. Players can bid on the items publicly to obtain what the person had – including money and stuff bought at store. Highest bidder wins the auction. Auctions end and day’s end.

Days to last 48 hours. Nights to last 24 hours.

I'll post the starting number of total credits at the beginning of the game, for those who want to keep track. Gold from YOW2 will be exchanged for a given as Credit in YOW3. Those who were in YOW2 will have 1 more credit given as reward for winning. Those who were alive at the end will have 2 credits, plus the gold/credits they had at the end of YOW2.

Holy Christ on a cracker. If you haven't seen Bebop, not only are you missing a fairly good storyline, some decent action scenes, some of the most memorable characters in anime (but in my opinion, they didn't have a whole lot of competition), but some of the most mind-blowing studio jazz you'd ever hear. The soundtrack is phenomenal, and one of the main things that keeps drawing me back to the series.

Wolfwood (my new avatar) is one of my favorite anime characters, from Trigun no less. With his own kick arse theme.

You need to find a way to see at least some of the series.

Greetings, this is your humble co-narrator of YOW: Bebop edition, and I haven't actually seen it either! I may find some time to watch a bit of it at some point, but I think it may be more fun if I don't and just make up whatever I feel like. That should significantly up the bizarre factor at least.

I've decided to go ahead with my OOTS game. I'm planning on late September/early October but that's around when I'll have midterms so I don't want to set an exact date yet. I will need a co-narrator that's more experienced to help me do any last-minute balancing and that can do some good flavor text, because I'm not very good at that. Any volunteers?

I have now completed this game!
I suspect it still need some balancing out and such (thats what comments and suggestions will fix) but otherwise I'm very happy with it
Even thought its not a werewolf game I would like to post it here, the recruitment should be up in a few days since kuoy is almost over.

    Life of a Zergling

    Not a Werewolf game

The Overmind has just been killed and the swarm has been thrown into disarray and chaos, now only the strongest and most adapted can survive.
A number of Zerglings have survived the Overmind’s death but have now turned against each other. Only one of them can survive this…

    The Rules

    Spoiler
    Show
This game will consist of one round that will be repeated until there is only one player left in the game.
During every round all players can choose between the following four actions (or use a special ability):

    Actions
    Spoiler
    Show
    Attack (Vote for another player)
This is done by sending your vote to the game leader. The player with the most votes every round will be removed from the game and all his energy will be splinted as equally as possible between the players that voted for the player that was lynched.
The first players that voted for the lynched player will get the largest share of that Energy if it can’t be divided equally.
If you voted for a player that was not lynched this round you will lose 1 Energy.

    Gather Energy
This option will let you gain 1 Energy this round, after a number of rounds this option will no longer be available.

    Burrow
You borrow yourself in the ground, protection yourself from incoming attacks and abilities.
Reducing the total votes against you by 1 vote and you will also lose 1 energy, this might protect you from certain special abilities as well.

    Spy
You will spy on another zerg finding out what they are doing and how energetic they are. Select a player, at the end of the round you will learn what kind of action that player used during that round and how much energy he/she had at the beginning and the end of the round. You will also lose 1 Energy.

Note: If a player doesn't' use any actions or special abilities for two rounds he/she is killed by protoss and his/her energy is lost to everyone.

    Energy
    Spoiler
    Show
It’s your energy that makes you able to attack and defend yourself against the other zergs, if you would lose all your energy you will automatically die.
Every player will start with 5 Energy that they can use however they want, but be careful so it don’t run out of it.

    Mutation Forms
    Spoiler
    Show
You can sacrifice some of your energy to transform yourself into other species of zergs, to transform will make you unable to take any other actions for one round.
You start of as a Zergling but can mutate yourself into all kinds of forms. Once you have mutated into another form you can't change it unless you mutate from a mutalisk to a guardian.

Hydralisk, 3 Energy: Your attack vote count as 2 instead of 1.

Ultralisk, 5 Energy: Your attack vote counts as 3 instead of 1.

Mutalisk, 4 Energy: Votes made against you by Zerglings and Ultralisks attack votes only counts as 0.5 instead of their normal amount, but you lose the ability to burrow.

Guardian, Requires Mutalisk form, 2 Energy: Like the mutalisk votes made against you by zerglings and Ultralisks count as 0.5 instead of their normal amount. Your vote count as 3 instead of 1 but only as 0.5 when made against Mutalisks, Queens and other guardians. You can't burrow.

Defiler, 4 Energy: You can no longer vote but you will gain the following abilities: Consume, Dark Swarm and Plague.

Queen, 4 Energy: You are a flier like the Mutalisk and the guardian. Therefore votes made against you by Zerglings and Ultralisks only count as 0.5. Queens can't vote at all or burrow but have the following abilities:
    Spawn Broodlings, Parasite and Ensnare.

Special Abilities (like the queen and the defiler have)
    Spoiler
    Show
Special abilities can be used instead of the normal actions but tend to cost more Energy but are in other hand more powerful.

Consume, Costs 3 energy to use: Select a target player, if that player would die during this round you will gain all his/her energy.

Dark Swarm, Costs 2 Energy to use: Protect yourself or another Zerg with a swarm of creatures from ranged attacks for one round, the Zerg is protected from votes made by Hydralisks, Mutalisks and Guardians (this is reducing attack votes made by them on the selected player to 0).

Ensnare, Costs 2 Energy to use: Ensnares another Zerg in a sticky green fluid making them unable to move, if that Zerg would make any action expect burrow or a special ability (like Dark Swarm) prevent that action, the energy cost of that action is still spend.

Parasite, Costs 1 Energy to use: Infecting another Zerg with a parasite, at the end of every round you will learn what that Zerg did during that round as well as how much energy it have, this continues to work even if you used it on another player.

Plague, Costs 2 Energy to use: Sickens another Zerg making it lose 2 Energy before it can recover, this effect is prevented if that Zerg is burrowed.

Spawn Broodlings, Costs 5 Energy to use: Infecting another Zerg with broodlings, killing it and its energy is lost to everyone. Burrowed players are immune to this.

Comments and suggestions that would help the games balance (or make me clarify certain rules) are as I said last time very welcome.

Would anybody mind if I moved the Spytrap III beggining a week forward, so the game would start on August 1? I have enought players and I doubt I'll get any more and would like to start the game a little sooner. However, seeing that YOW and Pirates start on August 4, it may be a little too much. So, if anybody doesn't agree with this, all you need to do is say so and the game will start on August 8, as planned originally.

That's why I never understood the LOOOOoooong recruitment periods. Three or four days is probably enough. A week, surely. Two weeks, a bit long in my opinion. A month, as some games do, is kind of crazy to me.

I'll leave it up to EmperorDemonking, Goof, Raldor, Llama, Alarra and Indy, as those are the narrators that may be effected by this.

Come on, you really expect me to know what is the best in this case? I've had one game, a monthly recruitment seemed like reasonable thing. That's why I tried it again this time. I now see it was too long and won't do it again next time. I simply didn't expect so many players to gather so fast. I'm not Shadow or Supagoof, or hippie and similar guys who can get 30+ players in a day to join their game. With all due respect, you are all great people and narrators, but your name alone gives a game that touch that makes people want to join, I think. And that's ok. But I have a long road to walk to there and so I made a recruitment period longer. I screwed up, don't lynch me for it

    Point at Mordokai

Serious, a signup period should be about 1 week - max 2 weeks. One week because some people who maybe want to play sometimes don't get internet connection all the time.

After 2 weeks you can bet that some of the people who signed up first already forgot that they signed up and cancel the game.

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother...

EDIT: that was a joke, reffering to Cristo's post. Yeah, I'll know better next time.
