Re: Dish's Delightfully Deranged and Deliciously Deliquent Random Banter # 106
Hah. I once got a 200% on a Spanish test. Basically, we had to conjugate as many verbs as we could think of within a particular time limit; 30 verbs was 100% (and also one page of the exam) but we were allowed to continue on the back. I got to 60 before I ran out of paper (the teacher wouldn't give me another).

I once managed 112% in a science exam, purely because they had determined th percentages out of the wrong number of questions. I think about six of us were better than perfect that day.

Re: Dish's Delightfully Deranged and Deliciously Deliquent Random Banter # 106
@PZ: I have a little maths problem for you.
Imagine you're going on a vacation, there are a cities you'd like to visit. There is a travel time of b days between each city (Different for each pair of cities, of course). You're going to spend c days in each city (different for each city). And finally, you have d days off your job, and as such available for your vacation. Of course, you need to be back at your starting position by the end.
Now, I'd like two non polynomial algorithms for this situation.
The first would be for when you'd like to visit as many different cities as possible.
The second would be for when you'd like to spend as little time travelling as possible.٩๏̯͡๏)۶

Maths: I don't love them.
I don't hate math, but thanks to my "teacher" this year, I don't like the class, although I still don't mind the subject.

Gezina demonstrates for us an example of "You know you're over-planning the holiday when..."
You really have to wonder how valid a test of your ability the exams are if it's possible to get 112% on them thanks to errors made by the people setting them.

Maths is great this year. Great. My teacher's gorgeous.
And, today, I saw him hot and sweaty, and sleeveless, in tight clothes, as he was coming back from a cross-country trip. Man, today was good.

Re: Dish's Delightfully Deranged and Deliciously Deliquent Random Banter # 106
For the first time since I started A2 I've actually done my French homework the day before it was due in.
How I hear you not ask?
Our bus home broke down less than three miles out of college. We had to wait till five for a replacement bus (but it was the good coach) to come pick up everyone who couldn't get on another bus. I did it then, in between reading a book I borrowed from Female Anime E Lit Friend. I started reading it on the bus and I'm now on page 176 of 468 not incluing appendices to the book. This includes a fictional biography. And a fictional Note to the Text beforehand.
But I got home very late (I missed the normal bus home) and my dinner was up early so it got cold real quick. COld roast is bad.
Hum, E Lang was amazing today. We were drowned in a sea of terminology, but we knew most of it so were pretty much revising for the whole time. And because Thursday and Friday're Cool E Lang Lecturer days we had so much fun.
Plus I can now tell you what a relative embedded clause with a subject complement is. And more stuff like that.
Bathatar!

Left 4 dead's not out yet is it? Well, I know it's not in the UK. It's there lingering in steam all pre-ordered and nowhere to go.
I now have a blog. Have a look if you wish. It contains those naughty profanities that you won't find here. If you like what you read send me a PM, or if you don't like it. I'd like to know how many people here read it.

I think I saw it in my local EB games yesterday, right before it was covered up with 400 copies of Wrath of the Lich King. Which I got the collector's edition for. I'm going to go look at the bonus shinies and lament my lack of a working computer right now....
Stupid computer. Why did you somehow fail to boot, leaving me with nothing to use for internet but this slow-arse piece of crap?I used to do LP's. Currently archived here:

'Researching' French unis.
Did you know they only have to pay 169 euros p.a. to study for their equivalent of a BA?
Yup.
Also, I missed brekkie today so hunger is rife.
Then again: today I've seen someone dressed up as the Mayor of Halloween Town; Peter Pan; several fairies and a duo in the pink hippo/orange zippy mouth suits.
Can't remember their names, but they had a TV show. I think the orange zippy mouth guy was called Zippy?

Cost reflects value. Silly pretendy frog people, trying to ape their betters.
