GtKaP Interview Thread 2: Anxe
Welcome one, welcome all, to the thread of embarrassing questions and probing...
*gets handed a card*
To the thread of interviews! I'm your host for this thread, Reinholdt!
Ignore the Playground Squares sign hanging in the background. There were... budget issues. But enough about me, this is about you! And for our fist interview, let's welcome onto the stage Jibar!
Audience, feel free to ask any questions you like, but avoid highly personal ones. We're not here to find out your maiden name!
Hapless VictimInterviewee, you may abstain from answering any question you choose.
Now without further ado, here's some questions to get you started! A round of applause for Jibar!
Future interviewees can be found here.
Reinholdt's Riveting and Rhetorical Questions:
What question would you like to be asked?
What traits do you look for in an ideal pet?
What is the square root of Pi?
What's your favorite OOTS strip?
What's your favorite Erfworld strip?
How does your ITP persona relate to you in real life?
Sadistic choice time! You must choose to save either the life of your most loved one or the lives of a large group of strangers. Which do you choose?
What is your favorite word?
What is your least favorite word?
What makes you enthusiastic?
What disappoints you?
What sound do you love?
What sound do you hate?
What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?
What profession would you not like to participate in?Last edited by Reinholdt; 2011-06-21 at 12:09 PM.

Re: GtKaP Interview Thread 2: Jibar
What's your number?
Preferably by something young and female.
The real sadistic choice is whether I love my best friend more than my pocket watch. And I don't think I'm comfortable answering that.
What is your favorite word?
By sound? Cow. Say it any way you like, great word.
What is your least favorite word?
What makes you enthusiastic?
What I never get asked about is my writing which is probably fine because I'd talk anyone's ear of if they let me. Literally, off. I know enough words to carve flesh from bone. Fear me, puny cat... thing.
What disappoints you?
What sound do you love?
What sound do you hate?
What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?
I think this question would work better if I had a profession anyway.
What profession would you not like to participate in?
If heaven exists what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
I like to pet my food.
...that's only half a joke.
The other half is a punchline HA CHA CHA.
Easily 30 odd. Not all of them Cat-Muffins funnily enough.
Do you eat muffins IRL?
What color(s) do you prefer to wear?
Through college my outfits were just various blacks and whites. I actually have like real T-shirts now so I don't blend in with a piano.
What do you like to collect?
Sun no longer comes through my window because I accidentally filled the windowside with tubes.
Do you enjoy watching the Weather Channel?
Well, I suppose you need something to do on a rainy day.
If I'm at Uni or have my own place then, sure. If not, nope, sorry.
If not, can we at least hang out?
If not, may I poke you, once, in the blueberry?
Groovy. I kinda want another one to happen but I don't think I'm around Friendly Banter enough to get recognised on sight any more.
Blue. Or green. Or red. Or white. Or yellow.
No... never yellow.
Favorite fruit?
Favorite ice cream?
What is your theme song?
What is your alignment?
Alternately: Awesome Sexy.
What is your Magic: The Gathering color?
What is the meaning of life?
What are your thoughts on:
Love?
Friendship?
Freedom?
Friendship = Groovier
Freedom = Groovy
Do you have any suggestions for my list of questions?
Wow. Okay. Hit me again.

Re: GtKaP Interview Thread 2: Jibar
Not really. I've had traits in fictional characters I'd be attracted to, but I don't think I've ever thought of it beyond that.
Of course this is because Visas Marr is a totally real person who exists and everything.
(this is a joke haha funny)
2. What is one thing about yourself you're the most proud of?
Also I'm the best writer on a Creative Writing Degree, I think that's worth being proud about.
3. Roses or orchids?
Or trains. Trains are pretty cool.
4. What sustains you, keeps you going every day?
Ask me, I'd say insomnia.
In reality, I'm over insomnia now so it's definitely Pringles.
5. How did you get to be so awesome?
Then I exceeded them and beat up Nixon. Or... something.
6. Where were you ten years ago, and what do you know now that you wish you knew back then?
Proper way to support weight in arches and arch-like structures.
7. If the human race vanished tomorrow, leaving only you and one other person to keep you company, who would you want that person to be?
8. Who is one person who died before you were born that you'd most like to speak with?
The man's probably my hero.
9. When your life comes to an end, how do you want to be remembered/what do you want to be remembered for?
Or beating Nicolas Cage in a boxing match.
10. Ga! These questions have taken a turn for the depressing! Quick, what is your favorite lolcat!? (Bonus cookies for posting a pic.)
11. What super-power would you want to use to stop Godzilla if he was attacking where you live?
Befriend him, then we'll team up on Tokyo.
12. Beards or babies?
13. Have you ever made up a word? If so, what is that word and what is its definition?
How about... Narcissisright. Being worthy of the praise you lavish on yourself.
So, me.
14. Define the following word: whiloplenulent?
15. What's an old-fashioned song or short schmaltzy bit of poetry that's stuck in your head?
Although, Mack the Knife might count.
16. Favorite mythological monster?
17. Enough of this! I am your arch-nemesis! Where will we fight our final, climactic battle?
18. In #17, above, did you defeat me? If so, how?
19. Do you prefer the silly questions or the serious ones?
20. Why did you decide to submit yourself to these torturous, probing questions?

Re: GtKaP Interview Thread 2: Jibar
I'm told my own work is incredibly similar to Terry Pratchett so naturally I like him, but otherwise my favourite would have to be Phillip K. ****.
**** approaches sci fi not as an excuse to show off weird aliens or amazing technology but as a way to ask real questions about humanity.
My tutor last year actually noticed how much I like him and invited me along to this kind of meeting of the minds of scholars and the like, dedicated entirely to ****'s life and his works, but I was too scared to go. I'm a fan, but I couldn't compete with those kinds of minds.
What was the forum like when you joined?
Also, I was an idiot then. Don't miss that.
It's a complicated tale series of shenanigans and Sherlock-worthy sinister mystery.
Actually I was hungry one day so Sneak made me a muffin, then I felt like a cat one day say Ceika added ears and tail. THERE MY GRIM HISTORY.
Why did you pick Jibar as your name?
Only in wraps. Which I've eaten. Mwahaha.
Will you go quietly when they come for you?
What is your anti-zombie weapon of choice?
Are you running to something, or from something?
And before you ask to/from what, the answer is Danger.
What's the magic word?

Completely forgot.
When I say people need to bother me to do something, I mean you need to be like beside my bed when I wake up staring at me bothering me.
Or the Catmuffinominicon?
Kinda put to one side until I'm in such a position I can happily make something decent of it outside of in-jokes and references.

Re: GtKaP Interview Thread 2: Jibar
It's amazing just how it's changed the world and how it will continue to change. I believe people who know more about this stuff would say we've switched from an industrial revolution to a digital revolution and I'm okay with this.
If you didn't have internet access at this very moment, what would you do?
Actually, funny story, where I lived for my first year of Uni the internet was incredibly difficult with me and I often went without any kind of real internet connection for weeks at a time. Considering I hated the people I lived with, couple of nights I did spend on the verge of tears.
Wait, that wasn't so funny.
Actual funny story, I once was walking past a bus stop when an African guy lunged towards me and said "RARGH! Watch out for the lions!" and then sat back down.
What is your favourite song right now?
Or maybe this. Maybe. Who knows.
1977. What is your favourite thing that happened in that year? If not favourite... most interesting.
This shouldn't be a question, you should simply be reminding me 1977 was when Star Wars came out. When Jedis were BORN!

Re: GtKaP Interview Thread 2: Jibar
This, probably.
Because if I was the lead character in a video game it'd be a weird platformer action game with gigantic bosses and decent jumping mechanics. The final boss would be fought on a stage and the music would start playing after you technically beat the boss but he activates a cutscene to grow more powerful so you grab the uber powerup, become invincible and start the beatdown that accompanies this song.
...I miss platformers.

If we're talking regular ponies, they cool. I don't mess with them they don't mess with me, we got an understanding y'see.
If we're talking Ponies, no. Don't want anything to do with them. I've seen things man. Terrible things.
What is your favorite animal?
What is your favorite thing to talk about?
Or just listening. I'm sensitive like that.
What is your favorite thing to think about?
If you were me, what would you ask you?
And I would reply "My fingers" and then you'd slap me and we'd both understand why I don't go to clubs any more.

Re: GtKaP Interview Thread 2: Jibar
Kirby's Dream Land on the Gameboy.
It belonged to my cousin. When I got my own Gameboy I spent 2 years odd trying to find my own copy of the game but I never did.
Bought Kirby's Adventure on the Virtual Console last year. No regrets.
What is your favourite video game?
Uh... umm...
Oh God. Oh God.
Ocarina of Time is fantastic, and not just in a "My First Zelda" kind of way. Everything about it really is phenomenal design, characters, world, levels, weapons, items. The pacing is great, the music is great, the bosses are some of the best the series has seen. Twilight Princess copied a lot of it all in an attempt to replicate the success and came up short by ignoring some of the subtleties to it.
Jak and Daxter has so much of my playtime in it. Really, it does everything a platformer should do right and is such a glorious example of those late 90s, early 2000s platformer golden age. We don't get games like this anymore. It's all about variety in play style, moves and objectives.
Knights of the Old Republic II has so many things going for it in terms of character and story and for an RPG that's exactly what it should be aiming for. I've played it many many times and I'm still not sick of it, unlike all the other RPGs I've played.
Lylat Wars is the pinnacle of pacing to me. I don't think you'll find a game with better timing and set pieces to it. Especially when you take the hard route straight off. Blast through a city and hunt down the captain of the invading force, then stampede through a naval battle before taking an experimental new ship, dive under the water into these dank horrible environments as you try to survive against these horrible undersea creatures... No lie, I will buy a 3DS just to play this with some updated graphics. Worth a console to me, easy.
But... well... Assassin's Creed II is probably my favourite. Brotherhood took everything II did and improved upon it but... I like Venice and Florence. And that's what's so great about it, about this series. Nobody does settings like these, nobody does combat like this, nobody does platforming like this. II has down everything I love and oh God I want to play it now.
I... what, no, ew. Ew. I literally cannot think of anything that wouldn't be disgusting eugh. There's a reason we bath in water.
If you could be a cyborg, which body part goes first?
I think everyone at the last UK meetup can attest I need them, but I don't want to get any freaky deaky robo-eyes.
If they can't, then I'd like a machine gun instead of my belly button.
