Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
...ok, I just discovered -more- griefing damage. Specifcially, the three-high bookcase that used to be next to my bed INSIDE MY HOUSE is no longer there.

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
Okay, a couple questions:
Where is the RP town/how do I identify it? I just want to make sure I don't build something there that violates the whole IC thing.
Two: What is up with all the different worlds? I know ironcraft is some competition area. Do they have different map generation rules or something?

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
Being completely serious here. I don't think anyone should get to CLAIM old RP. It's not like you can simply claim it. It's not something you built alone, Knight I believe you unrightfully claimed old RP as yours, seeing as how others were still using the buildings there for storage, and that you didn't build everything there. I think it should stay a monument, owned by nobody but for viewing and memories. So I don't think Maxios should get the ownership, I don't think anyone should get ownership. If people had placed materials in buildings there for safe storage, they deserve to keep them there, as long as they were their old buildings in old RP. I went through old RP with Omega, and he had noted how the buildings he had signs on stating that they were his, had been changed, saying that they were VKnight's (eg. his bakery), and the items inside were taken or changed. Kind of like making old RP a national park...
Hope people agree with me on this.
Thanks,

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
Rptown is one of the separate worlds(labeled rpworld from the portal there)
The others are; terra, a standard world, but an old one, so it's been mostly explored, release, which is another standard one, but created for 1.0(so it has all biomes and a few strongholds), hardcore, which is like a normal world, but you cant access plugins or teleport out of it(you need to die to leave it)
spawnworld, which is both where spawn is, and also on peaceful, and finally ironcraft, which is used for the ironcraft competitionMeow(Steam page)

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
If this is the old RP in spawn-world, then I strongly object to it being claimed. I loved my house there, and at the very least it's not anyone's right to put their hand up and say 'mine!' at my possessions.
On that note, if you could get around to removing that sign from my base Max, that'd be good.Awesome avatar by Shades Of Gray!

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
To Heav: V once told me he bought it from Deme.
Basically, Old RP Town is part of the Guildocracy. The buildings themselves still belong to their retrospective owners. And the stuff in the buildings.

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
I don't recall selling him the whole place -- I definately sold him the tower, provided Mem didn't mind. If he saw it as selling him Old RPtown, then I think the same restrictions would apply -- so long as no one who was involved minds.
Also, I didn't sell nothing -- he didn't pay me anything, after all.Last edited by Deme; 2012-05-02 at 07:58 AM.

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
I own the location of Old RP Town. The buildings and items present in the town itself belong to their retrospective owners.
Also: There's some gear in Deme's tower in Old RP Town. She told me to ask Mem. Anyway, Mem, feel free to take the gear in Deme's tower.
Also also: I do own a part of it. The gigantic tower with branches that hang over other people's stuff.

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
Alternate Universe Question:
What would Minecraft be like if it sets in Dark Sun?
- Instead of Diamond, we would find Iron.
- Too many mobs, thirst meter, little food, and high death rate in game (Who needs Hard Core mode?)
- Yogcast's Simon would be Hairless Dwarf or Half Dwarf Mul.
- What would the song of "Dwarf Hole be like" in Dark Sun Craft?
SpoilerOriginal: I am a dwarf, I'm digging a hole. Diggy diggy hole, I am digging a hole.Badly drawn helmet avatar drawn by me.

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
Apologies, he 'gave' you something he didn't have. Doesn't change anything.
Wasn't his to give - despite what he thought he never had it - ergo he didn't give it to you.

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
Let me see if I can sum up the last few pages:
Player A got banned for trolling and griefing. He claimes that he purchased the RP city from Player B.
Because player A is banned, he gives ownership of the city to player C.
But Player B, who happens to be an administrator, never "sold" the city to Player A, and only gave a tower to player A.
Player C is now claiming ownership of RP City based on what Player A told him.
Sorry, player C, you got mislead (in the politest terms). Perhaps there was a miscommunication somewhere along the line. But no matter what, you don't own anything except perhaps the tower. I say it's time to take down those Player A signs and not put up your own.
And it seems everyone else has come to this conclusion, and it's time to move on.
Can we move on now and discuss Silk touch being usable on ice now, and what we plan to do with it? Other than an ice fortress in the nether, of course.
And there is the matter of the next thread's name, but that might be a ways off.Last edited by Forbiddenwar; 2012-05-02 at 05:11 PM.

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
That would be quite interesting, would definitely like to play that.
Seeing as large abandonedlibrariesBook-Prisons fit almost everywhere, we would have no problem setting up shop there.
SpoilerThe song would largely remain the same but with a darker undertone. That is to say he is digging a mass grave as he sings. We love plural first person personal pronouns.

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
Started work on a gate for RPtown near the market area. Building something like this, though I'm a little short of slimeballs. If anyone has any they could donate to the chest in the pit where I'm working, I'd be much obliged.

Re: Minecraft Thread IX: Beginning of the End
I just realized I should clarify A few things. First off, this is Untrainedmonkey, I don't post much. Secondly, The Testing world. I created the Testing world as a place where people could go to build large structures and test mechanisms without worrying about running into other people's stuff and the like.
Aparrently, because of an error on my part (the 'everyone' group is actually called 'default') nobody at all had permission to enter the testing world. This has been remedied, I believe. Also, there may still be some problems, so please don't bring back materials from there, that would be bad. Also, please respect other people's work, but that should be a no-brainer.

If the testing world gives everyone creative, I would suggest using the same safeguards that Ironcraft has.
