Re: LGBTAitP 26: No Time For Snappy Titles
Funny you ask that, not only our cat also does that, but he scared away his (adoptive) older brother with a... very girly and weird battle cry.
There already was a running joke about bringing the cat with us in Genk, where BF had his surgery, so he could have the body of a dog along with the personality of a dog. Now we're starting to consider offering him sex reassignment surgery on top of species reassignment surgery.Originally Posted by on Dwarf Fortress succession gamesOriginally Posted by Dwarf Fortress 0.40.01 bugs

Pretty sure all cats, male and female, have the response of lifting their tail when you stroke down to the base of it.

Re: LGBTAitP 26: No Time For Snappy Titles
I am beginning to wonder if I am trapped in an illusion or an alternate reality where Kobolds are the epitome of adorableness. But thanks.
There are cameras under tables? Sounds even better to explore these dark, fun worlds now! ^_^
There are exceptions, particularly when dealing with sociopathy and the like, but in those cases there is still many more who can step in and offer untwisted love. That love can lead to such terrible things is a bit morbid, but it can lead to amazingly great things too. Sometimes it can even heal the damage of misguided parental love.
I really need to stop letting junior worshippers decide the rules of temples. >_> X3
On the topic of earned names, it is sad that there is no longer a custom of earning names and epithets. It would be amazing to really earn the title of a mythical beast. ^_^
What about asking your friends if they would consider Phoenix fitting for you? You might have earned it without realising it.
Have you tried Behind the Name? It has both names and etymologies for them, along with categories that allow you to only look at German names.
*Hugs*
Your parents sound almost like they are working by the logic of Victorian era social theories. I hope your announcement will be very fun when you move out, and that they get much better.
I think my avoidance of coming out to my parents might be a bit hypocritical by comparison. They rarely give me flak for anything or express much negativity toward LGBTA+ other than general cis-het privilege. ^_^'
Seems the same way to me, the wild cats we have around pretty much all do it. They are so silly. :3
I think Latin languages are operating on that theory, so maybe they are! O_OTreasured Quotes

Re: LGBTAitP 26: No Time For Snappy Titles
Interesting? Why?
That...is a very good question to consider. I'll get back to you on that.
I'm so sorry *hugs*. It must be hard not to be able to talk to the people who should be the ones who support you most.
How much longer do you expect to remain living with them? I'm (relatively) lucky in the timing of everything, because if things go well at my new job, I'll be able to move out by my next birthday, which is in March.
Wait, there are people who don't consider kobolds to be the epitome of adorableness?
Oh man! Who tipped Keveak off about the cameras! Now we'll never get him out from under there! And the temple's only half finished, too!
Where are the blueprints?
Be honest; that's a rule you were going to put into effect anyway .
While a good idea, I don't think that my friends have the same concept of earning a name that I do (and even for me, it's only some names that have a significant amount of spiritual or symbolic significance), or the same idea of what the name Phoenix might require. And explaining it might take a while, 'cause I'm not even sure how I'd go about doing it.
I have not. I'll check it out."It is important to draw wisdom from many different places. If you take it from only one place, it becomes rigid and stale." --Iroh

That's... A good question. I at least need to lose enough weight to reach my target so I don't need the medicine anymore, that's looking like it'll take at least a year. >.>

Re: LGBTAitP 26: No Time For Snappy Titles
Kobolds are not only absolutely adorable, according to Races of the Dragon they have a communal ethos which means they actually come off as less evil to me than most of the listed "usually neutral" species.
I liek Kobolds.

403 Forbidden.
But yes, kobolds are adorable! (kobolds from D&D Online)
Incidentally, that is how I imagine Keveak speaking.Last edited by Heliomance; 2012-08-25 at 09:42 PM.

Re: LGBTAitP 26: No Time For Snappy Titles
A lot of adventurers? Ooh, and cat owners! ^_^
Usually, the sight of a gnome-sized dragon-descendant with sharp teeth and claws tend to make people nervous. Maybe it is our eyes? Do yellow scare humans? :3
With the kind of administrative paperwork that would create? Eep! @_@
I get 403: Forbidden errors instead of Kobolds. No Kobolds make Keveak sad. :<
I wish I still had access to that book, it was so fun! ^_^

Re: LGBTAitP 26: No Time For Snappy Titles
Wow, that's terrible XD
Your avatar continually fascinates me.
At first, it was the smiley faces and the mannerisms. Then, it was the infernal magpie. It struck a chord. A cutely fiendish, macabre chord.
An then I saw Keveak in the sorting hat and you are just the cutest thing when you want to be. My gosh look at that. It's squee-inducing.
On the topic of earned names, it is sad that there is no longer a custom of earning names and epithets. It would be amazing to really earn the title of a mythical beast. ^_^
Dunno. It seemed noteworthy but I didn't have anything particular to say about it. I will give it another look later.
That...is a very good question to consider. I'll get back to you on that.
I'm so sorry *hugs*. It must be hard not to be able to talk to the people who should be the ones who support you most.
Tempted to try drawing just to throw you a speed bump for fun now.
Huh. That sounds crazier out of context. Like I'm planning to go into some kind of witness protection program. But sure!
Oh my good gracious, that is remarkably close to how I hear Keveak in my head. A little deeper, less scratchy. Wow.
And that poor miner...

Because my first real exposure to Kobolds comes from Ragnarok Online, I picture them as huggable, quirky canine creatures.

Re: LGBTAitP 26: No Time For Snappy Titles
It does not work for me, sadly. Maybe they are trying to keep Kobolds apart to stop us from forming secret societies? :<
...
On a completely unrelated note, the Illuminati is pure fiction. No basis in reality.
>_>
<_<
That is just plain adorable.
*Scribbles in notebook*
Infernal magpies and sorting hats, gotcha! :3
I am quite surprised that people like my mannerisms, actually. They tend to drive my classmates insane. ^_^'
Can I sig this?
I actually rarely speak like that. It would get people to stare at me. Eep. ._.
Those are adorable Kobolds. ^_^Last edited by Mina Kobold; 2012-08-26 at 07:04 AM.
