Q 1610
In the DMG, spellstoring is only listed under melee weapon enhancements, therefor I would assume that it can't be applied to a longbow. However, what if it were on a shortspear, and the shortspear was then thrown?

A 1610
Spell Storing can only be triggered by the wielder. Once a weapon is thrown it is no longer wielded. The target of your ranged attack could then use it for a melee attack (against you, perhaps) and decide (as the new wielder) to discharge the spell after successfully dealing damage.

Q1611
What type of bonus to attack rolls are STR/DEX modifiers for melee/ranged attacks? Insight, compotence, luck, untyped?

Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XXII
A1611: So far as I know they are never given an explicit type; one can infer that either they are Strength/Dexterity-typed bonuses, or just regular untyped.
They are certainly not insight, competence, or luck bonuses.Projects: Homebrew, Gentlemen's Agreement, DMPCs, Forbidden Knowledge safety, and Top Ten Worst. Also, Quotes and RACSD are good.

Q 1612:
Can you use a standard action to perform something that's ordinarily a swift action?
Q 1613:
If a cleric with the Initiate of Mystra feat makes the check to cast a spell in an antimagic field, can the effects of the spell take effect within the antimagic field as well?Time travels in divers paces with divers persons.

B: Are there any different rules for Baatezu or Tanar'ri?

Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XXII
A 1614
The answer depends on if the creature was Summoned or Called. A Summoned creature returns to its point of origin when killed, completely unharmed. A Called creature exists completely wherever it is Called to, and it dies for real if brought down to -10.
Demons and devils do have special rules to them. Fiendish Codex I and II present more in-depth rules for demons and devils, respectively. They both reform on their home planes after being killed on any other plane. Devils reform after something like 99 years, and they usually get demoted into a lesser form as a result of their failure. Demons I forget exactly, but I think they reform much faster than devils and stay in their normal form.

Q1617
How do you calculate the Caster Level of an Ur-Priest?
Wizard 10/Ur-Priest 10 is easy, that's 15.
a) What happens when you advance Ur-Priest? Say, Wizard 10/Ur-Priest 2/Full Divine advancement 8; is that also 15, or is it 11?
b) What about Theurges? Wizard 10/Ur-Priest 2/Mystic Theurge 8? Is that 15, 11, 19, or something else?
c) How about Half-advancing Divine Casters? What about on the levels when they don't advance spellcasting? Do they add 1/2 on the dead levels, and full on the advancement, or half on all, or half on all AND full on the advancing levels (for 1 1/2)?
d) What about late starting casters, like Hexblade? Are they considered Spellcasters prior to gaining Spellcasting levels?

A 1618 The Skillful enchantment from Complete Arcane p 144 does this as well as giving you a minimum of 3/4 BAB.

Alignment change is not a property of being a familiar, so it stays the same.

Q1620
For the factotum's cunning strike ability does a factotum have to use it once for every attack in the round or use it for each attack to get sneak attack damage on each hit.

Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XXII
A 1619 CONT No.
A pattern of action in keeping with a specific alignment can cause a gradual shift toward that alignment. However, familiars are NPCs. As such, the master can choose what type of familiar to call, but the DM determines all their actions. There is no way for a familiar's master to control the servant animal's actions to the extent necessary to cause an alignment shift. The master can dismiss their familiar and call another of the same or different type, but they do not get to choose the familiar's alignment.
A 1620 Yes.
Cunning Strike requires the expenditure of 1 inspiration point before the attack roll. As the name implies, this is per strike.Last edited by Curmudgeon; 2013-05-12 at 10:19 PM.

Q1621
Using the "spell" level listed and Shadowcaster level, is it possible to make Wondrous Items of Mysteries from the Tome of Magic in the same way that you can make Wondrous Items of regular spells?

Q1622
Can a character Two-Weapon Fight using a one-handed weapon and armor spikes? If so, does the off-hand have to be free the whole time, or only when making attacks with armor spikes?Kolyarut Avatar by Potatocubed.

A 1622
Yes. The off-hand however does not have to be free at all. If you can wield something as an off-hand weapon, you can wield it as an off-hand weapon. You coudl even dual-wield a two-handed weapon and armor spikes. The spikes aren't (necessarily) even on the hands.

Not that i know of.
You can have a sorcerer with versatile spellcaster and a level of wizard put spells in his spellbook and use versatile spellcaster to use two sorcerer spell slot to cast out of the spellbook.Extended signature (Includes Giantitp regulars as... links, avatar showcase, homebrew, and other stuff.)

Re: A 1619 CONTThat's not (necessarily) an answer. Mindrape is from Book of Vile Darkness, a 3.0 supplement. With no official 3.5 update for this book, each individual DM is free to make their own individual "minor adjustments" (see page 4 of the 3.5 Dungeon Master's Guide) before accepting such older content into their 3.5 game, such as altering or disallowing particular spells.

Re: Simple Q&A D&D 3.5 (by RAW) XXII
Q1624
Is encumberance/weight of grapplers not taken into account while grappling? That is, can a Fighter with STR 30 (1600lbs heavy load) move/drag a Dire Bear (8000lbs) that he successfully grappled?
Q1625
If it works, can one use it to travel using flying pets/familiar by grappling (or being grappled by) them?
