I explicitly voted Depression because I thought it meshed well with the lawful alignment and uniqueness.

Wasn't Frankenstein's monster essentially a horrific, depressed creature? Granted, I don't know that it was LN, and I suppose it would technically be a construct, but it proves that the concept is at least basically workable.

Granted, Afro, I trust you will put your usual fantastic spin on whatever you do come up with.

Poop. Everyone seems to like giving AA tricky alignments. I personally reckon this one is a particularly poor choice (as I said when I voted). In addition to it being, as AA said, just not fun, it's too close to self-loathing, which we've already had, and it really doesn't lend itself to being actively villainous.

EDIT: I have some ideas, though, which I've decided to cut from this post and PM to AA so that he can somehow convert them into awesome...

... but still, I rather think I should have switched my vote to Curiosity just to scupper it in the name of fun. Grr.

It's tricky enough to be a real pain, and I don't want to take the easy ways out. They're also less fun, which is something that I generally see as important. Even Meridius was fun.

Don't worry about that; I am fiddling with my own ideas. I just dislike that everything I look at seems to detract from the horrific nature of the villain.

You don't say. Maybe the ridiculous alignment and motivation combination, coupled with one of the most difficult Unique types to successfully work with (there are all of two Horrifics that I've found in all of the Monster Manuals) is making things tough.

I'm getting there.
