It's also fairly obvious that the narrator would not pick the same wolves twice. That's just silly.

The wolves are chosen randomly (usually), or by an alpha. Nothing prevents the same person from being a wolf several times in a row in the same series. For example, see the Murska constant.

Well, mathmatically the chances of being a wolf are already low, combined with the fact that it has already happened. The chances of Happy being a gentlemen are rather low.
