Re: LGBTAitp - Part Twelve
...what.
Yes. Go browse the blue jean section of a department store and examine the various cuts of blue jean. Even Walmart will have some form of explanation of how the styles differ.
If you're still having trouble getting clothes that fit your waist and accomodate your legs, then a belt might be in order... or you'll need to find a specialty store/website if not even that works.

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Twelve
'Twas a joke, granola.
I may have a bad sense of humour but it does exist.
There's styles? I just try whatever pair I think looks groovy and most of the time they're way too loose around the waist or too tight around the legs.
I always use a belt... I thought that was normal. ^_^'Treasured Quotes

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Twelve
Ok, my fault, I don't think I explained myself well. What I'm talking about is for example:
One of the guys that lived here in the dorms is a drag queen(Out of all the guys that lived here he was actually one of the ones I was fond of). So he's super gay, yadda, yadda, yadda. He always introduces himself by his drag name and is always hitting on the guys at the dorms, what evs. One (specific) time his mom calls the counter and the kid working at the counter calls out to him by his drag name, and he gets really mad at the kid because his mom was still on the line. Point being, if you're in the closet and don't want to come out for whatever reason, fine that's okay, you shouldn't come out until you're ready. But don't be a beacon of gay stereotypes and then get mad if/when it blows up in your face.
(As for the steretype things, honestly I'm a bit effeminate, but I actually tend to fit straight stereotypes better than gay stereotypes. I suck at being gay. :( )

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Twelve
I went to an LGBT meeting and they told me that since I was gay I couldn't have a man crush on Neil Patrick Harris, that that was just a regular crush. So then I asked if I could have Man crushes on girls, but then apparently the topic wasn't productive or something and they changed it. :(
I LOVE lesbians for some unknown reason. More than once has a foray into clubs/bars wandered into me getting drunk and almost making out with a lesbian.
Maybe I'M a lesbian?

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Twelve
So there were guys on campus today with petitions for the whole gay marriage thing that's going down in Britland atm. They seemed quite taken aback when my response to being asked for a signature was an immediate "Yeah, sure."

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Twelve
Well, it was written to them. Or perhaps "at them" is a better description. But I'd guess not so much.
So, I was watching a comedy the other day, and some of the comments in show were being called "horribly homophobic" and I was rolling off my chair laughing (as was the gay character in show). And I was wondering if this actually happened to anyone, where someone leaps to your defense unnecessarily?

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Twelve
There was an LGBT club on campus, but they hadn't updated their website in years and never really advertised their events much so I didn't get to do anything with them. To me, it was basically, "Well, I'm bisexual. But any guys who would be into me seem to be hiding. Bleh."
I figure they were probably, like every other college group in existence, advertising on Facebook (where I have never made an account and never will) and nowhere else. I guess the idea that there are people that don't want to be on Facebook never occurred to them.LGBTitp

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Twelve
Speaking of Bi, I was wondering something. Does anyone know any bisexual/pansexual trans folk? I've noticed some are straight and some are gay, but I've only met one who liked both men and women.
And as a sidenote: met a cute girl tonight... totally crushing on her despite my desire to avoid relationships at the moment.
For some reason bi guys seem to be ultra rare. They also seem not to ping the mythical "gaydar" either. Is weird.

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Twelve
Hmm... I'm working from a tiny, tiny sample size (2, one FtM, one MtF), but both the trans people I know are straight... um... like their birth sex??? Think that's straight.
Man, I find trans language to be a minefield.
Also, Bi Guy here... Umm... Don't ping on gaydar, apparently.

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Twelve
I've got a bi boyfriend who never pinged on my gaydar. Of course, my gayday is notoriously bad. I didn't even realize I was gay until I was 17.

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Twelve
Yeah. And as my panic attack a few pages back indicated I'm not as confident in my "bi" descriptor as I could be.

John Hancock went... a little overboard with signing the declaration of independence here in the americas. Okay, a lot overboard.

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Twelve
On a related note, are trans people who aren't bi/pan more likely to be attracted to the same gender as the one they transition to or the opposite one?
I don't know any trans people, living in the country equivalent of a friendly but very small and rather old-fashioned village, and not being in any LGBT communities.

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Twelve
Well, I THINK I have a preference for girls. I know that if I were to have sex before transitioning, it would be with a girl...
However, afterwards I'm not sure. I think I'm just drawn to wanting a heterosexual relationship. That probably indicates bad things in my subconscious. Sorry.Recent Homebrew: The Socialite | The Crystalline: Memory Altering Construct Race | Sanguine Hand, a ToB Discipline of blood and cruelty
