... The Next Day

It was a quiet night, no more gunfights and robbery than usual.
The newspaper was pretty dry too, nothing had happened.
Betty had spent the night at the Grand Bill "Negotiating" a contract.

I stood up and left my office at the back of the bar,
"Tony!"
"Yes, Frank?
"Cedric called, he said someone shifty has just booked himself into the Hotel 'n that he calls himself the Eternal Drifter"
"Eternal Drifter? I'll ask Betty to look out for him."

Marcie eyed some hood at the back of the bar she felt like was spending too long looking their way. She thought it was that Shadowcaller guy, but she wasn't 100%. The bar was getting smoky.

Matthew Damewood reads the morning paper after breakfast, and a smile comes to his face. "No killings last night... that's a relief." He checks his watch and frowns. "I should be heading over to the office."

On the ride to the office, he turns the radio on. As he twists the dial looking for his station, in between the snippets of news and music, he catches the beginning of a radio show:

"And now we bring you the further adventures of that intrepid reporter, Sue D. O'Nimme, on her never-ending quest to ferret out corruption and injustice! When last we left our heroine, she had just uncovered a nefarious scheme to create vicious, blood-drinking shrubbery and been captured by the mysterious mastermind behind it, a man known only as The Bushranger - "

Matthew changes the channel to listen to some music and drives on.

Cedric had had an interesting night with Betty showing her all round the hotel, and how good the beds are. He disliked the news that there was a guy called shadowcaller looking shiftily in a lower part of town. The boss usually made sure all his gang members looked perfectly normal.

Day 2

Eternal Drifter returned to a street corner, with his supplies restocked. There, two kids waited, a young boy and a younger girl.

"All right," Drifter said, handing a bar to each of them. "What's the scoop?"

"You are being fingered by two people..." says the boy. "FatTony and Supagoof."

"This could cause problems... killed before I get a response from a possible contact... and solidfy my hold on the city... No word on either of the Mafia or the Red Flames?"

"No sir."

"Then who is under the most suspision?"

"Four have been named, including yourself..."

"A name! A name!"

"Deathslayer! Deathslayer! Let me go! Let me go!"

Drifter put the boy back on the ground, surprised at his anger. "Sorry, got carried away..."

Sarah smiles at Patrick. She goes back to finish cooking as she tells Patrick to wash up, teasing him about how he smelled like work.

She sets the cooked fish, limes, coleslaw, avacado, cilantro and taco wraps on the dining table. Everything is fresh and the fish is still hot. It looks scrumptous.

He's been in and out of consciousness for days. He hurts all over. He has faint recollection of someone treating him but no idea who he was or why he was helping him. He looks around. He's in a badly lit basement with medical tools covered in the brown of dried blood. There's nobody around and nothing to lend him a clue to who he is or what he's doing here besides a torn up pair of jeans and a brand new navy blue polo shirt. He puts on the clothes then checks the sole door in the room. It's locked. He looks for another way out. He spies a window he can barely reach, opens it, and struggles for minutes to pull himself up outside. The rushing wind hits him in the face like an overclocked leafblower and he either he's remember something or going mad and hearing voices. He swears he heard someone whisper in his ear, "Deathslayer".

I'm not certain how Murska & Billtodamax are running it - but I've seen where voting for people not in the game counts as missing a point = autolynching.

In this game, voting for people/things that cannot be lynched counts as a vote for no-lynch. Since in my opinion if he was there to vote, even if he voted for someone not playing, he was pretty much at least just as active as he'd have been if he'd have popped in to toss a vote for TPAM.
