Erfworld 39 (42?)
There has to be a better way to keep track of which comic this is...
So it looks like anything coming into Erfword from the outside becomes Erfified. Except for Parson. But then, he's human, so he's special.Last edited by Maxymiuk; 2007-04-07 at 03:57 PM.

Erfworld 42 (Page 39)
"That brain of yours'd better contain every fact about every battle ever fought."
I feel a great disturbance in the Force, as if a dozen commentators from the Klog 3 thread had suddenly sprayed their monitors with their beverage of choice.
Four known Arkentools, hmmm? Wonder what the other two are....

A use for his Dwagons it seems.

Re: Erfworld 42 (Page 39)
I know that this whole story is going to begin as parson being an idiot and not knowing anything and stuff butt seirously it's getting a lttle boring, I want to see parson actually doing strategy and stuff with the tool, surveying
his forces and using what they learned from jillian.I don't like all these "parson knows nothing" strips

Ah, yes, the age-old problem... GMs put their heart and soul into a world, then the players just want to kill things and take their stuff and aren't interested in the history of Gremolk's Bagel Shoppe.

Stanley's expressions give me funnygasms.
Still, Stanley is right. Mostly.
You'd have to be a moron not to know those facts, except for that fact that, y'know, a single guy with a bow should be able to hit a flying unit over a heavy forest. On the other hand, maybe the forests are very strict about that.Belkar's Bad to the Bone.

Re: Erfworld 42 (Page 39)
I think we just heard the first Godmode exploit. If I were Parson, I would station as many Dwagons as I could spare from air defense in the tunnels below. The gobwins would herd attackers through the maze to the Dwagons, who would then toast the attackers without being in any danger (unless Ansom is imaginative enough to send in Orlies, Gwiffons, or Doombats). They are, after all, on a mountain.

And it looks like Wanda's day isn't off to a good start. A kingdom for a headache spell still wouldn't be enough...

Re: Erfworld 42 (Page 39)
Poor, uncomprehending tool. I sense great hilarity once Wanda arrives.
And I agree that this page is glacial even for Erfworld. We actually went *back* in time! I can't help feeling that we'll have another strip just covering the argument between Stanley, Wanda, and Parson over whether or not he's worth his upkeep. I also can't help feeling that *all* of the information in this strip could have been revealed just as well in that one.
*sigh*. I'm not going to pretend to know better than Rob how to tell his story, but I just wanted to be a whiner for a bit and point out that the comic has slowed to a crawl, even by the standards of pacing established by earlier strips.

Re: Erfworld 42 (Page 39)
Well, I think we've got a good idea what the next Klog is going to be based on :)
We also got a glance at the upkeep mechanics, just enough to want more :PLast edited by TheEmerged; 2007-04-07 at 04:50 PM. Reason: Heh, I finally made "Halfling". Does that mean my upkeep costs went up?

Re: Erfworld 42 (Page 39)
Hmmm... if Stanley had paid for the full-service spell and emptied the treasury, what would have happened this turn? Even if they'd gotten an Erfling-sided warlord, surely his upkeep, and the implementing of whatever plans he came up with, would have cost something, and it seems unlikely that the income of a single city under siege and with zero savings would support war operations.
Maybe he wasn't as arbitrary and stupid as he sounded....

Re: Erfworld 42 (Page 39)
Teehee! I tried to not laugh too loudly (because I'm at work) and I just ended up giggling like crazy instead. My masculinity was maimed by an educational Stupid Meal and a speechless Tool.
Also, for those who only read the thread on the current strip: if you enjoy literary analysis, we're having fun in a thread called "The Arkentools...Chaotic?". The title was unable to adjust to reflect the shifting topic. My avatar is a remix that I made of Prince Ansom. Resource credit:

Re: Erfworld 42 (Page 39)
Funny stuff, I'm still laughing. Can you imagine what Stanley is going through? His only real, and expensive, hope for victory is bested by a Happy Meal.
Well done to Jami for getting the strip up on time. Hope you weren't dragged off the sickbed
Not in a wargame. Think of it as Civ - air units cannot be attacked by land or sea units while in the air (obviously) but can be attacked if caught in airbases or cities. The Omnians were a God-fearing people. They had a great deal to fear.
