    Default Erfworld 39 (42?)

There has to be a better way to keep track of which comic this is...

So it looks like anything coming into Erfword from the outside becomes Erfified. Except for Parson. But then, he's human, so he's special.

You'd have to be a moron not to know those facts, except for that fact that, y'know, a single guy with a bow should be able to hit a flying unit over a heavy forest. On the other hand, maybe the forests are very strict about that.

I think we just heard the first Godmode exploit. If I were Parson, I would station as many Dwagons as I could spare from air defense in the tunnels below. The gobwins would herd attackers through the maze to the Dwagons, who would then toast the attackers without being in any danger (unless Ansom is imaginative enough to send in Orlies, Gwiffons, or Doombats). They are, after all, on a mountain.

Poor, uncomprehending tool. I sense great hilarity once Wanda arrives.

And I agree that this page is glacial even for Erfworld. We actually went *back* in time! I can't help feeling that we'll have another strip just covering the argument between Stanley, Wanda, and Parson over whether or not he's worth his upkeep. I also can't help feeling that *all* of the information in this strip could have been revealed just as well in that one.

*sigh*. I'm not going to pretend to know better than Rob how to tell his story, but I just wanted to be a whiner for a bit and point out that the comic has slowed to a crawl, even by the standards of pacing established by earlier strips.

Hmmm... if Stanley had paid for the full-service spell and emptied the treasury, what would have happened this turn? Even if they'd gotten an Erfling-sided warlord, surely his upkeep, and the implementing of whatever plans he came up with, would have cost something, and it seems unlikely that the income of a single city under siege and with zero savings would support war operations.

Maybe he wasn't as arbitrary and stupid as he sounded....

Depends on how the world logic works - the "programming" might be set up in a way that allows precisely that glitch. And, *shrug* unless you have a way to enter cheat codes, the usual Godmode method is to exploit an in-game bug.

Teehee! I tried to not laugh too loudly (because I'm at work) and I just ended up giggling like crazy instead. My masculinity was maimed by an educational Stupid Meal and a speechless Tool.

Also, for those who only read the thread on the current strip: if you enjoy literary analysis, we're having fun in a thread called "The Arkentools...Chaotic?". The title was unable to adjust to reflect the shifting topic.

Not in a wargame. Think of it as Civ - air units cannot be attacked by land or sea units while in the air (obviously) but can be attacked if caught in airbases or cities.
