Re: Australasia in the Playground V
The weather here has turned gray and gotten a little colder in the last two days, which is a shame. It was fantastic on Monday, but I didn't get to spend any time out side and since then it hasn't been as good.
On top of that, I'm not at all well.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Weather has been bad here, which is frustrating as my fiance and I are trying to do our engagement photos.
Yes, I'm engaged. It's been almost two months.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
I will be living in Melbourne for an undetermined bit, and will be frequently visiting any nearby areas just to absorb the culture. Any tips?

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
But I like wearing trousers. My favourite weather is weather I can wear trousers and t-shirts in. Sometimes I miss New Zealand...
Congratulations! don't let wedding planning drive you nuts... and if it does, chamomile tea. It tastes odd and smells even odder, but it will calm you down like nothing else. I lived on the stuff the week leading up to my wedding.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
You're complaining about the weather?
You're complaining about the weather?!
Actually, I'm okay with that. Makes me feel less bad about the weather here Relevant deviant.
I haven't seen Cats, but I have a copy of... what's it called? Something Possum's Book of Cats? I like the poems, can't see why I wouldn't like the musical (except maybe that they change the tempo or similar).Oh hey. I went to high school in Tallangatta.
...that's the closest anyone's likely to get to most of the places I've lived, okay? <.<The Iron Avatarist Hall of Fame!

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
I don't wanna advertise on the recruitment boards as I haven't got a game.
But I was curious if any of you awesome Aussies wanted to form a DnD MSN/Skype gaming group?
Since we're all Australians and I know time is hard to come by- the internet is often our only means. Same time zones are difficult to come by.
I'd happily DM?

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Just ;)
At least you'll have time. My fiance planned our wedding in 3 months with a budget that got shrunk by $20,000AUD.
(Her father is terminally ill and was given a life expectancy of 5 months- so she wanted him there to walk her down the aisle) Pulled wedding back from 2014 to 2012.
Killer.
Hopefully yours will be a lot less stressful.

Well I'm the most immature 25 year old I know. But sure, I'll refer to myself as a grown up *grins* ;)

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
I need to update it, seriously. But I try and make it interesting and conversational. Not just my opinions but try and look at examples and stuff.
I do have a degree in English and History if that helps explain.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
A flatmate of mine did the same thing - planned the entire wedding in 3 months. I watched her slowly lose her mind. Congratulations though
Heehee, I was 24 and Peregrine was 23 when we got married - I remember one day going into a store to buy paper to make invitations with - the woman in the store was surprised we were getting married - because she thought we were 19.
Having said that, I'm 29 and I'm still just a big kid... and I too look young for my age - as does my husband. If his hair is a bit long and he's shaved recently, he still looks like a teenager. Makes me feel old, the little horror

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
I don't want to feel old, the idea of not so long from now being an old married lady kinda scares me a little.
BTW, I got a TPK on Wednesday night at Encounters.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
It's cause you're wee.
Guys, y'know how I mentioned having a sword for sale earlier? I now have three for sale of various styles. I've got a claymore, a singlehanded sword, and a katana for sale. I'd rather sell to friends than some random ebay person that I'm not sure I can trust not to decapitate themselves with idiocy after seeing some horror videos on youtube. Just ask for any details if you're interested, by PM if you'd prefer. I'm more than happy to look up local blade laws for you. They're all sharp, functional and very durable pieces. You'd get a very interesting display piece, with functionality and your awesomeness factor would go up several hundred percents. Also I'd be able to afford to buy food, so you'd be helping me out as well

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Don't worry about it. It's actually kinda fun
Then again, I'm not sure having been married for 4 years really counts as being an 'old married lady'.
Why are you doing this to me? Why are you selling these at a time when neither of us have jobs and consequently have to rely on Centrelink just to buy groceries... I want another sharp, pointy stick

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
If I got Centrelink I'd probably keep them Or do better deals, and use the money to buy new ones. Or something. As it is, they kinda need to go.

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
I think the moral of this story is: not having money sucks.
Speaking of, I should really get to and apply for some jobs already...

Re: Australasia in the Playground V
Oooh, Claymore...
What're you asking for that one? Also.. what's Victoria's blade laws at the moment? I'm with the SCA so I've got a permit to own one, but from memory there's a bunch of hoops involving secure cases, lockable hideaways, alien influence, ID badges and whether or not you're allowed to wear pants once you own a sword.Super cute Catgirl Avatar by Kymme
