Re: Dr McNinja III: You Rad Bro?
Well, the Washington 2000 would have vastly out-sized the Cumberland bot, so it probably wouldn't have been a fair fight anyway.

Re: Dr McNinja III: You Rad Bro?
Huh, weird. We're seeing the completion of Radicals plan that seems to me to be leading up to the big final confrontation between one of the few major villains this comic has (I remember Radical and Franz, am I missing anyone?). To me it seems like the story is definitely going somewhere.
But I will be the first to admit, for this comic I really don't care much about the story structure or arcs in the first place, so meh, sorry you're not enjoying this one.
There are certain people you look at and go, heh, probably not a smart idea to mess with that one. Whether they're a trained fighter or not. The mecha-happy president with an eye-patch and epaulets? Definitely getting that vibe from her.Last edited by Dienekes; 2013-04-19 at 01:15 PM.

Re: Dr McNinja III: You Rad Bro?
I approve of Dan's plan.
It has no logical methodology or bearing in reality, no guarantee of success, and no particular sense for what may or may not happen when you put your teenage son in charge of a giant robot, but other than that, it strikes me as an excellent plan.I Wanna Be the Guy Kid avatar by Ceika. Many thanks.

Re: Dr McNinja III: You Rad Bro?
Nor clear purpose on what to do if it works, or any overall goal really. He just wants the robot.
I think the president is hot. Must be the epaulettes.
A cease fire would imply that Dracula sees Doc as a threat.
Considering that Dracula helped out the earth I think they are on more or less friendly terms. As in Dracula doesn't really care about him but he'll fire off a spare laser beam of ultimate destruction for him if he feels like it. Maybe not for Doc specifically, because that whole not telling him the secrets of the afterlife has him a little peeved. But if it's really important, he'll say "Fine. Today I was just going to blow an asteroid up with it anyway, you can have one."Last edited by ericgrau; 2013-04-22 at 01:23 PM.

Re: Dr McNinja III: You Rad Bro?
And so does King Radical's
EvilRadical Plot be explained.
I suppose I kinda like the idea of removing the Worst Dudes, and replacing them with the Raddest Dudes. Why does Doc not like this guy again?I Wanna Be the Guy Kid avatar by Ceika. Many thanks.

Re: Dr McNinja III: You Rad Bro?
........Its our world isn't it.
Our world is SO boring that its like the evil opposite to Radical land.
Why does Doc not like this guy again?
Radical is not the same thing as Kind, or reasonable.
Jerks will be the first to go. Then the Janitor who lived a meh life. The Kind Doctor, Then the guy who became a cop, but then got stuck doing paperwork but tries to do the best they can.
King Rad is like a guy addicted to XTRME. Hes not willing to enjoy subtleties about life, and would rather have it all destroyed by the things he likes.
What a fantastic Villain. Real depth.

Re: Dr McNinja III: You Rad Bro?
So this is pretty bad. And now that he's got a giant robot, he's basically unstoppable.

Re: Dr McNinja III: You Rad Bro?
And thinking about it, its even worse.
Dr.McNinja and his family won't disapear, but they could be drivencrazycrazier.
When you go from mundanity to balls to the wall NUTS everything at once, I don't think even the people who are "Rad" won't be easily be able to handle it.
EDIT:
Wait! Giant Robot!
Thats the Robot that was used to fight the Dinosaur invasion!

Re: Dr McNinja III: You Rad Bro?
Is he really morally repugnant if he wants to save his own world at the expense of another world? Especially when from his perspective his own world is objectively better?
If you had the opportunity to save a bunch of great people, and all it would cost is the lives of a bunch of terrible people would you do it? I personally wouldn't, but I can see the opposing argument.

Re: Dr McNinja III: You Rad Bro?
I would argue that yes, it kinda is awful. He's not asking permission to use a bunch of condemned criminals or whatever, and he's not asking if the people he's saving are ok with that either. He's trying to basically solve his own problems by murdering a bunch of people who aren't involved.
There may be more acceptable variations of the same rough idea, but as presented King Radical is essentially still the bad guy here.
Remember, the person totally ok with this is Hortense, and remember she's an unscrupulous contract killer working for Doc's enemy.

Re: Dr McNinja III: You Rad Bro?
And by doing nothing you're still murdering a large group of innocent people. The only difference is that one group of people is objectively better than the other. I would argue that your hands are soaked with blood either way. You're just as responsible for the life you could have saved, but chose not to as you are for the life you take in my opinion.
Can you tell me that if you were in Rad's place, and everyone you ever knew and loved was going to die, but that you could save them by eliminating a group of evil people, that you wouldn't at least consider it?
Rad is obviously still the antagonist here, but I don't view him as morally reprehensible. Well...actually I do think he is morally reprehensible...but not because he wants to save the people he loves at the expense of a bunch of "bad dudes".Last edited by Anteros; 2013-04-29 at 08:16 PM.

Re: Dr McNinja III: You Rad Bro?
Also, he's not exactly saving them, since they are (a) surviving well enough on their own, even if their universe is not as radical as it once was and (b) not necessarily happy to be summoned to Doc's reality, as shown by Ron's reaction to the news about bad pizza.
Edit: When was it stated that people from the radical lands are dying? Sparklelord has already been banished, and all I remember are vague allusions to his corruption spreading and the radical lands becoming less radical, not that people are dying in droves or anything like that.
My prediction (insofar as the plot of Dr. McNinja can be predicted):
SpoilerChuck Goodrich will show up and foil King Radical's plans, possibly in some sort of massive anticlimax. Not "our" Chuck Goodrich, but another one from the future of another reality where King Radical has succeeded. After all, "Every parallel universe has some global tragedy, and Chuck Goodrich will always be the man to find a time portal and try to prevent it." And Radical himself seems to expect that a Goodrich will try to stop him at some point.Last edited by Psychonaut; 2013-04-29 at 08:47 PM.
