Re: Perenelle's Pleasantly Playful and Passionately Peculiar Random Banter #133
Ah, my mother has threatened to not pay for college if I don't start talking to her again. I find it so wonderful that instead of asking for forgiveness for kicking me out of the house, the only solution she sees to solving the feud between us, is threatening me.

I have no idea how many apps I have blocked or hidden, but it's a lot. It's automatic at this point - even if they're vaguely interesting, I can't not click the little button.

Re: Perenelle's Pleasantly Playful and Passionately Peculiar Random Banter #133
So, hearing a lot about Repo! The Genetic Opera I decided to watch it tonight.
My thoughts, in roughly the order they happened:
Wow, this music rocks.
Comic format bits? Eeeh, nice art, music still rocks.
Giles?
The Grave Robber rocks my socks off.
Giles! Has! Disturbing! Mental! Problems! And the ventriloquist corpse was funny. Why aren't I disturbed now I reflect upon this song and the general process of being a Repo Man?
Pavi and Luigi are depraved and funny. As is their introudctory song.
Shilo sucks. But she can sing.
Wow. Holographic eyes.
Zydrate comes in a little glass vial.
A little glass vial?
A LITTLE GLASS VIAL! And Amber is a slut. (Pardon my language)
All these songs are amazing.
This one's actually not all that good in comparis - JOAN JETT! *rocks out*
Luigi and Pavi are still disturbing and funny.
I love this climactic opera in an opera.
What is up with Mag's eye makeup?
Shilo, why don't you find it disturbing this old man is making you wear your dead mother's old dress?
The Grave Robber still rocks.
*jaw drops* Mag can sing.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!
*flinches*
Oh. Gods.
*covers face with hand*
Jeebus.
And yet the songs are still awesome.
*gets all teary eyed*
Wait, Shilo, as the credits roll are you begging Grave RObber for Zydrate?
Which comes in a little glass vial.
I was surprised when I recognised a lot of the cast, it was disturbing and funny and really, really good. I wasn't expecting it to be up to the hype, but it was.
But . . . *shudders* That scene.
And Giles pulls off 'split personality disorder' very well. Must be the Buffy practice. And so many of his songs are awesome.
Also: Rotti is definitely a magnificent bastard.

I like how you repeatedly call Anthony Rupert Head "Giles", even though he's been in other things since then. Like that exact production you just saw, for instance. And that show "Merlin" that was on a short while back. *this year, In fact*.
Then again, I'd probably just call him "Giles" too...and I'd probably pay to see him perform. He's damn good.
And...what exactly is a "Genetic Oprah"? o.o

Oh come on; the vast majority of people (epecially on the internet) would know him as Giles because it's his most famous role by far.
This.
Warning: VERY GORY. Also sex and some nudity. And men wearing women's faces. And faces falling off. And stuff.
Basically, we have a dystopian world after an organ failure epidemic leading to the rise of Geneco who basically rule the world. A world where comestic surgery takes on vast levels of whole new meanings where if you don't keep up with your payments Repo Men come and repossess your organs.
Your Ill Girl of the story (Shilo) has an overprotective daddy (Giles (actually called Nathan) (who takes it whole new levels)) is exposed to the world which Giles has been protecting her from. Blind Mag (a singer who is, well, blind) is retiring as spokesman for Geneco. Rotti is about to disinherit his children. The plot happens.
Things very quickly get awesome, depraved, gory, weird and musical. With cameos.
And good music. And the Grave Robber. And DJ Granny.
EDIT:
And that squicky bit near the end. *shudders*Last edited by CurlyKitGirl; 2009-11-19 at 09:27 PM.

Exactly, exactly my point!
Bloody necessary unnecessary people. Killer. Absolutely killer.
And all those "Friend Suggestions"
It scares me because I know I'm coming up on their page too. Which is somewhat insulting. My mind runs through the headset: Why aren't they adding ME off their friend suggestions?
Pure and simple answer: They hate me as much as I hate them. lol.

My hair was looking good for the first time in years. Then I decided that getting a Thin White Duke haircut for Halloween was a good idea. I don't know what I was thinking.

Re: Perenelle's Pleasantly Playful and Passionately Peculiar Random Banter #133
You were probably thinking it might give you the powers of the Bowie.
As it is, I say this too shall pass.
Though I too am currently thinking about my hair now. Not sure if I want it to stay this, get longer, or keep it shorter.
And on top of that I have the question of how much out I want my beard to get, since if I really let it grow out I'll need scissors to keep it neat...

Re: Perenelle's Pleasantly Playful and Passionately Peculiar Random Banter #133
My ex/roomie did this My parents gave me my haircuts as a kid. Generally with a shaver with an 8-guage thingo on it.
I've had very, very few paid haircuts, because they make me feel uncomfortable. The last one I had was just before I grew my hair long for the first time.

Re: Perenelle's Pleasantly Playful and Passionately Peculiar Random Banter #133
I like how you get his name wrong while pointing this out. It's Anthony Stewart Head. Rupert Giles was the Buffy character.
On facebook: I have only blocked one application. The only application which seems to take up a significant amount of my news feed is Social Interview, which tends to amuse me.
On haircuts: I'm the same as DeeRee. My mum gave me haircuts for years, then they stopped a while after I started growing my hair, to the point where I would occasionally have the following exchange:
"Do you know how long it's been since I had a haircut?"
"No?"
"Neither do I."
It was some point in year 10, 11 or 12, I remember that. And then I cut my own hair a month or two ago.
ION: My thought processes a few minutes ago were as follows:
'Drunk drunk drunk drunk drunk...'
You may infer from this the kind of night I've had (Though I didn't really get that drunk)."'But there's still such a lot to be done...'
YES. THERE ALWAYS IS."

I've been staring at the empty "Reply to Thread" box for a couple hours now. I just waited for the timing to be perfectly off-kilter, not appropriately on-time but not annoyingly late, before responding.

Man, I was suddenly inspired to do some drawing...class being cancelled certainly had something to do with it! Make mad headway on an old sketch of mine, got bored after the upper body, cropped strategically, now it's an avatar. Woo.

Re: Perenelle's Pleasantly Playful and Passionately Peculiar Random Banter #133
*super bear hugs the playground*
So, after 5 of 6 hours of blood sweat tears and toil (good band, by the way), I finally got all my work done, and studied for the tests I missed. That's the first time in a long while I actually motivated myself to get anything school-related done in... well, much too long. Anyway, wahoo! I feel ecstatic . Albeit, it might fade tomorrow, and be all downhill from here, but hey, let's be positive .

Mmhmm. Cthulhu's one of my more bizarre subjects, though I have to say that Jonah Hex is probably the one that's most out of place.
