Re: SMEE's Random Banter #97 of gender bending and closet bursting
Never heard of that movie.
Serpy, I wouldn't worry. Everyone has little ticks and twitches that seem like they belong in a museum of symptoms...
Is... is that an actual museum?

Re: SMEE's Random Banter #97 of gender bending and closet bursting
Woo, I'm sick.
I haven't got sick in over two years, except for two weeks ago, and now I'm sick again. Sore throat. Angina tonsillis, I believe. I got prescribed some pills and a syrup. And Strepsils. Boy, do I love Strepsils.I use black for sarcasm.
Call me Rose, or The Rose Dragon. Rose Dragon is someone else entirely.
If you need me for something, please PM me about it. I am having difficulty keeping track of all my obligations.

Tell me; how many people recall that I'm proud of ben British?
Anyone?
Anyone?[/sarcasm caused by heat and annoyance]
17yr old British college students sit AS exams. Or IB exams. Or exams for diploma. Or not at all.
Mostly ASs.
AP exams are for Americans only. I think.
TOO HOT!
I know one trait that positivel defines British people is weather and moaning about it, so be ready for a complaint:
I'm a vampire. I like coolness and shade. It's too hot and no clouds. I don't like work in heat.
Which is apparently OK as we're only doing revision or talking about exams.
How long can you talk about answering a flippin' question?!
And French. Driving me round the twist. They say it's hard and I know I put in a half arsed effort and I get a freakin' B! Two marks off an A!
Whaddaheck?
It's 'cos I'm acclimatised and ridikkerlously lucky.
I also note that I'm more colloquial than usual. And slangy. Apologies.
Bathatar!

Same here on hating the sun, I just bought me some factor 50+ suncream, and it's not even allowing me to go into the sun for more than half an hour without getting sunburns.

Ouai; français est bien, mais je ne peut pas faire les accents sur l'ordinateur donc j'ai utliser le 'symbols'. Aussi, je pense que tu ('tu' est bien avec tu?) ecris le langue bien. C'est fantastique.
Translation: Yes; French is good, but I can't do the accents on the computer so I have to use the symbols. Also, I think you [informal] ('you [informal] is fine with you?) write the language well. It's fantastic.
And I know 'ecris' needs an acute 'e'.
Now I ponder why I wrote in French at all.

Re: SMEE's Random Banter #97 of gender bending and closet bursting
I was always good at understanding other languages but terrible at speaking them... Anyone else find it MUCH easier to know what someone else is talking about in French or German or whatever, but can't string more than half a sentence together without confusing themselves?
Also, two days until exams start pour moi... It's just maths, FP2, but it's definately the beginning of the end.
...More also, I know that I AM a loser, but how bad is it that I don't want to go to the prom due to being a social reject?

Re: SMEE's Random Banter #97 of gender bending and closet bursting
Last night I watched Cloverfield. And last week I watched The Mist. Then a month ago, I watched The Host. That's three giant monster movies with Downer Endings in the span of six weeks or so. Not bad.

That was so funny/actiony/awesome!
I really like the part where Tony goes to the town the Ten Rings are occupying and the bad guys use the villagers as human shields, and so he can't just blast them so it looks like he gives up, but then he just takes them out!
So cool!

Re: SMEE's Random Banter #97 of gender bending and closet bursting
I didn't go to my high school prom. If I had gone, I would have wanted a date... and where I went to high school that wasn't likely. Nor would I have enjoyed the experience I think.
Also:
Spoiler
This is actually what I did instead of going to prom... we didn't bother with formal wear though.

Re: SMEE's Random Banter #97 of gender bending and closet bursting
Besides, who knows how those crazy British spellings have warped the two-letter exam names. . .No, it seems that AP exams are like feet and inches, viewed as pointless and provincial outside the U.S. The 'heat' of which CurlyKitGirl complains isn't above 75 degrees Fahrenheit. It's a craaaaaaazy world outside the borders, I tell you!
Serpentine, that's just a normal blockage of unfettered opinion. It's no good ranting about someone freely where the target has no hope of feeling it, isn't it?

So yeah me and Sheepofoblivion were chatting and I asked him if he knew who oberon was. He said yes and proceeded to describe a shakespeare character.
I was like "WTF?" because I was talking about the character from gargoyles.

Re: SMEE's Random Banter #97 of gender bending and closet bursting
I remember it was really hot and sunny during my A-levels, but I'm fairly OK with sitting out in the sun while revising. Though I do remember an occasion when people were bothered to the extent we put up our umbrellas to get some shade.
Now, on the other hand, I can't even see the sun. It sounds like we should swap weather conditions.

Re: SMEE's Random Banter #97 of gender bending and closet bursting
Honestly, I can't figure out you people's weird Farenheit system. How do you figure out temperature without using the freezing point for water as a basis? And what the hell is a quart? Is that like 50 gallons of inches or something? And why don't your tons have an extra "nes?"
Raiser B1ade: Since a lot of the characters in Gargoyles are named for characters in Shakespearean plays, (MacBeth, Puck, Titania, Oberon, the Weird Sisters, etc.) your mistake is understandable. (Also, the three souls occupying Coldstone's body is supposed to be a parallel of Othello.)

Re: SMEE's Random Banter #97 of gender bending and closet bursting
I saw it. Lots of fun! You stayed 'til after the credits, right? I hate the way all my friends go to rush out as soon as the credits start to roll Okay, there's way too many of them nowadays, but it still feels rude to the people who went to the effort to make it, and anyway you never know when there's stuff at the end!
Fortunately, I've seen two of those, so you've only given away the ending partly for one of them I should read The Mist sometime...
I... buh... What was it that I said that you're responding to?
I know 100oF is meant to be the temperature of the human body... I still prefer both 0 and 100 being associated with the same thing, though (specifically, water for oC).The Iron Avatarist Hall of Fame!
