The Stick Awards II: Second Edition (#0131 - #0140)
Welcome to The Stick Awards II: Second Edition!
The Stick Awards are handed out to the best strips of all time as chosen by our fellow Playgrounders.
This week we are covering the comic strips 131 through 140.
For full details about the Stick Awards, please check out the main thread here.
To read more about the original Stick Awards, created by Nazzo, the 102nd, please read his thread here.

Voting for this week will close on September 8th, 4pm EDT. Any votes made after that will NOT count toward the totals.
Last week, 122 - Adventurers Are Coming! Adventurers Are Coming! did in fact show up to claim the prize. Who will end up winning this week? Only you can decide that.

Re: The Stick Awards II: Second Edition (#0131 - #0140)
Man, so many good ones here. This is a tough choice.
I'm going to have to go with 132: Kindred Spirits just because it's pretty much flawless, the extended absurdism is terrific and the punchline is amazing. Plus, it's always interesting to see Belkar playing the straight man for a change. But I'll be happy no matter which comic wins.Number of Character Appearances VII - To Absent Friends
Currently playing a level 20 aasimar necromancer named Zebulun Salathiel and a level 9 goliath diviner named Lo-Kag.

Re: The Stick Awards II: Second Edition (#0131 - #0140)
This is the best batch so far, it's extremely difficult to pick one
132 and 138 are awesome, and 140 should get it just for the title and last panel Seriously, any of these would get my vote in, say, most of the previous six-seven rounds.
But #136 truly shines and gets my vote. There must be some sense of order - personal, political or dramatic - and if no one else is going to bring it to this world, I will.

I'll go with 135 I guess, because V dealing with idiots is just a little bit more funny than the others dealing with idiots.

36 gets honorable mention, but I have to go with 131. Plot and characterization will always trump the jokes for me.

#136 - Because it's not a winner until somebody quotes Monty Python.

I want to choose 140 just because I'm a total brony, but that's a really stupid reason, so...

131. Haley needed the character development. I liked Durkon's teasing reaction, too.

140 is very nice... a lol every time with "unleash the fury!"
i love also 134 "I hate side quest"
but 131 gets my vote. A long story planning, it is.Do I contradict myself?

Re: The Stick Awards II: Second Edition (#0131 - #0140)
131 - Honestly? Because I didn't want 136 to win, since I didn't find it very funny. 131 seems to be the main contestant, and it's a reasonable comic that gives the viewers some insight to Haley's character.

While Belkar in the Barbarian Guild is really great and Banjo is my favourite God/Hand puppet, 135 Potionomics has secured my vote.

Re: The Stick Awards II: Second Edition (#0131 - #0140)
A lot of good ones...
Cabaret reference in 131,
A hilarious exchange in 132,
A soon-to-be-out-of-buisness store...
I wasn't wild about 136, because it didn't really add anything to the original skit.
Ultimately, I'm going to go with 139, partly due to the joke it sets up with Belkar, and partly because it is one of the first signs of Elan thinking intelligently.

Re: The Stick Awards II: Second Edition (#0131 - #0140)
Man...I like 132, 135, 137, 138 and 140 a lot, but don't love any of them enough to definitely choose. Ultimately, though, I reckon I have to unleash the fury of 140...Gortok the Destroyer and V going shopping being close seconds.
Why I love V...
Now, if you don't mind, I am somewhat preoccupied telling the laws of physics to shut up and sit down.

Re: The Stick Awards II: Second Edition (#0131 - #0140)
Tough call. 131 has a great bit of character development, while the last three are really funny. But I gotta go with 131. 139 comes second.

Re: The Stick Awards II: Second Edition (#0131 - #0140)
135, because 131 doesn' really seem to have much plot effect and it's funnier than 132 or 136 (which is also great).
