The Stick Awards II: Second Edition (#0221 - #0230)
Welcome to The Stick Awards II: Second Edition!
The Stick Awards are handed out to the best strips of all time as chosen by our fellow Playgrounders.
This week we are covering the comic strips 221 through 230.
For full details about the Stick Awards, please check out the main thread here.
To read more about the original Stick Awards, created by Nazzo, the 102nd, please read his thread here.
To vote in this thread, simply state which comic of the ten listed is your favorite. Bolding the number of the comic (Like this) helps it stand out.
Voting for this week will close on November 25th, 4pm EST. Any votes made after that will NOT count toward the totals.
Last week, 216 Perfect Combo kept swatting away anyone who could even think of getting close to it in the vote count, taking the Award in the process. Who will be the winner this time? That's where you step in to let us know.
Let us all celebrate the valiant victory of the various vagabonds who make up this comic by voting for....

Re: The Stick Awards II: Second Edition (#0221 - #0230)
The complete Inn sequence is just one awesome strip after another. Especially the later half of this batch is fantastic. I wouldn't mind any of 228 to 230 winning, but my favourite this week is 226 Who's On the Throne?

So many good ones! How can I choose?
As many great jokes as they have, I'm gonna have to go with plot. Learning about V being married was great story advancement,

Re: The Stick Awards II: Second Edition (#0221 - #0230)
Many good ones. Anystrip can be a winner and since there isn't much sense to vote for Nostrip, it has to be Somestrip and #226.
There must be some sense of order - personal, political or dramatic - and if no one else is going to bring it to this world, I will.

Dangit, I always love Who's on First jokes, but for this round, 223 has to take the cake.

Re: The Stick Awards II: Second Edition (#0221 - #0230)
Hmmm, I could have sworn I would have gone with 226 before thinking about it, but the more I think about it, the better 223: Love, in the Abstract is.

Re: The Stick Awards II: Second Edition (#0221 - #0230)
Strong bunch here, only off-putting strip was yet another thing Roy's said to or about Miko that make me want to punch him in the face; "Now if only I could get Miko into one of these outfits, it would be perfect."
Seriously dude, you are such an objectifying douche. Go fall off a dragon.
Back on topic, I'll go with 223. Love the character and relationship insight, particularly with V and Haley/Elan.

I want to vote for #226, but #223 is the first OOTS strip I read, so it holds a special sentimental value.

Re: The Stick Awards II: Second Edition (#0221 - #0230)
I should vote for 223, 'cause it plants the seed for a future huge development, but the lawyer in 228 is too much funny.

Hmm. A lot of really good ones. I am going to go with 230, and 221 as a close second.

Re: The Stick Awards II: Second Edition (#0221 - #0230)
"Hey Abbot!"
"Hi Lou. You gonna vote in the "Stick Awards" this week?"
"Yeah, but there's a buncha classics in this group. I'm having trouble making up my mind! Which strip are you gonna vote for?"
"Yes."
"Which?"
"Witch strip."
"I dunno!"
"I dunno's in next week's batch."
"Which?"
"No, not witch, I dunno!"
"That's what I'm asking!"
"Not Wat, witch!"
"Forget it! I'm just voting for 226!"
"Oh, you're voting for Who!"
"If you say who's on first...!"

Re: The Stick Awards II: Second Edition (#0221 - #0230)
Hmmmm. I'd LIKE to vote for 226, being that it's an homage to an all time baseball skit. But if I do that, I create a tie. And avoiding ties is the whole reason why I vote last.
Harump.
Have to go with second best then. Last time I said I loved me some Dirt Farmers, so I'll go with 222 to throw them some appreciation.
And with that....
VOTING IS NOW CLOSED!
223 Love, in the Abstract is the winner this week! It now moves on to the Best of the Hundred tournament.
