I thought Demonizer by Judas Priest would be thematically appropriate

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
Well, it is led by the descendant of Sildyu, at least to public knowledge. Calling it 'The Neo-Moon Elf Empire' is sort of a homage, if you will. It is the watered down descendant.
/\Carmina Burana is the epic show-down music. I have listened to it hundreds of times, and each time envisioned an epic battle with something.Last edited by The Gremlin; 2009-01-03 at 10:25 PM.

Only if by that you mean One Winged Angel as performed by the Eminence Symphony Orchestra

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
Yeah, it's a chicken little type thing.
Ins :THE NEO MOON ELF EMPIRE IS COMING
Most of ABRoy: ZOMG, that is SCARY! Let's join the UNoA
Schitzotech:Stfu n00bs, we R 1337.
Alphantica: Meh, we don't need you guys.
*the vendetta blows up, the shades are defeated.
Ins: don't worry, we have defeated the Neo Moon Elf Empire, now everybody, Do what I say.
Most of Abroy: Sounds good! Say, did you actually do anything>
Ins: Of course I did, why else would I be wearing this hilarious T-shirt ("I defeated the Neo Moon-Elven empire and all I got was this lousy T-shirt")

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
I can't listen to that because a baby (our neighbors', we stole is muahahaha)is sleeping in teh room with the computer. Thus, I shall continue voting for Carmina Burana!!!
Found the headphones and listened to TS's one. It's okay, but Carmina Burana is better.
EDIT: Link. Ignore the Pirates of the Carribean thing, it was the best one I could find with the actual music.Last edited by The Gremlin; 2009-01-03 at 10:45 PM.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
No, this is the epic boss battle music we should use.
Anyway, another problem I have with this plot conclusion, and the general direction of the plot, is that we've essentially nullified any use of the Amulet of the Dragon King.
Now I might be biased because the Amulet is my brainchild, but that was what kicked off the whole "epic plotz of epicness" thing. Sure, we had plot beforehand, but it was really just about a feud between Salmon and Threeshades. Without the amulet and the story behind it, I doubt we'd have a fleshed-out world or so much drama attached to it.
We've abandoned the amulet. We've ignored the MacGuffin , invalidated theplot coupons, and left Chekhov's Gun on the wall.Visit the Chocolate Hammer IRC channel!

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
That music...it frightens me. Please tell me you're joking.
And I don't really see why you're so upset. This isn't a bad thing, this is a great thing. It helps show that The Shades are uber-powerful and that not even the amulet is needed anymore.
And you helped give the idea for the biggest backstory comic (and probably the biggest GitP forum comic in general)ever made on these forums. You helped get this plot moving in an exciting direction. Otherwise, it would just be a bunch of jokes about Salmon and TS after another. There would likely be no Sovices, because Lying would not have felt that we were moving in the right direction for a subplot. You helped ABR become what it is now. So what if the plot moved on? You are still very important, as is the amulet.Last edited by The Gremlin; 2009-01-03 at 11:02 PM.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
Oh, right, the amulet...and those key thingys....
I see one of three options
1. We ignore it
2. THE AMULET WAS THE TURKEY ALL ALONG!
3. The Order of the Driving Lance actually destroyed the amulet, the whole "Keys" thing was a joke that got taken too far.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
Orrrr..
...it returns. The UNA has gotten control of it.
After all, we couldn't have it fall into the hands of those terrorists.
Or, here's another idea:
During the 15 years which we skip, some Little Trout were deployed to steal the keys. They succeeded in all but one, the one belonging to Salmon's. The dragons gave theirs up, TS lost hers when she drowned, and so on and so on.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
You don't think that's epic?
Yeah, though I think it should be Nameless' theme song.
And I don't really see why you're so upset. This isn't a bad thing, this is a great thing. It helps show that The Shades are uber-powerful and that not even the amulet is needed anymore.
It would be like if in the middle of Raiders of the Lost Ark the Nazis said "Screw the Ark! We're going after the Holy Grail now!" and Indy said "Okay"
I mean, yeah, the Holy Grail was a great MacGuffin for the third movie, but not before the plotline about the Ark of the Covenant was resolved.
And you helped give the idea for the biggest backstory comic (and probably the biggest GitP forum comic in general)ever made on these forums. You helped get this plot moving in an exciting direction. Otherwise, it would just be a bunch of jokes about Salmon and TS after another.
