Re: The Q's Comic Review (Fancomic Writers Please Read!)
Actually Q. There is a secret reason behind everything. The plot will reveal itself in due time. But it's alot more complicated then you would think.

I am going to guess because robot ninja's came in telling you to not review it but you pulled your nun-chucks on them and beat them, but you are still a bit wary?

Re: The Q's Comic Review (Fancomic Writers Please Read!)
TOO BAD. WALUIGI TIME!
Ahem.
If there are "secret reasons" for everything, then it's their own fault for being so damn secret that the comic was verbally assaulted so. I personally can't really see how secret everything could possible be, as everything seems pretty straightforward (then again, secret reasons would give that impression, wouldn't they?) yet if the comic hasn't showed any hint of them yet, it doesn't do much good does it!? Huh?!

Re: The Q's Comic Review (Fancomic Writers Please Read!)
You spelled reason wrong in panel 2.
EDIT: And i would like to point out that the reason a person goes on a quest is not the reason a storyline is interesting, what makes it interesting is why they don't stop.Last edited by Kumo; 2010-03-19 at 08:57 PM.

Re: The Q's Comic Review (Fancomic Writers Please Read!)
True.
Let me explain it as best as i can, which admittedly is still not that well, with a metaphor already used here... Roy first went after Xykon because of his blood oath, right? But if Xykon had no master plan for world domination, then it's basically just a quest for vengeance, which would have worked ok for the dungeon of Dorukan but once Xykon survived that, well... then the story would get tired fairly quickly. The gates kept the story going, and kept it interesting. Even if there had been no real reason to go after Xykon in the first place the gates would have given a reason to continue going after him.
Is a reason to start important? Yes. But i think a reason to not stop is just as important, if not more so.
's all i have to say. Bye.Last edited by Kumo; 2010-03-19 at 10:17 PM.

Re: The Q's Comic Review (Fancomic Writers Please Read!)
*Nods* Thank you for your review, and I was afraid you'd say that. The truth is that, like in OOTS, the plot doesn't become fully visible until a little further in. And there already have been several hints, and we'll see even more right after fighting the dragon. (The battle will be finished in the next comic.) We've already seen pieces of it, like Tinder's comments about paladins (Especially "Paladin! ...Kago."), Lloyd's cut-off remarks about his past, the close relationship between Radic and Janine...It'll all become clear in time, and I promise you that there's a reason behind everything.
And, furthermore, there's a second meaning behind the title, "Murphy's Law." All will become clear in time.
Obviously, I can't give away the plot, but I will say this. Out of all the character archetypes, Lloyd Zephyr is The Atoner.
I just wanted to say this so I could clear up any possible misconceptions or prejudgments.
How about you take a look at it again when things become more clear?Last edited by CoffeeIncluded; 2010-03-19 at 10:35 PM.

Re: The Q's Comic Review (Fancomic Writers Please Read!)
I might. If I remember. I plan to move on to another project when I run out of comics to review, ocassionally doing some reviews here and there inconsistantly if permission is granted. When and if (since the comic life expectancy is kinda low around these parts, but I have confidence you'll be able to pull through and write the story to that point) you make the story complex and different enough from my original impression, I might take a second chance and review it again.

Re: The Q's Comic Review (Fancomic Writers Please Read!)
Since you don't have that many comics left, I'll grant you permission to review my semi-abandoned comic Planum Commedia. I don't know what to do with it yet and you'll probably provide some advice.
Hopefully I'll get my planned mini-series up and running before you close this down.

It's been a bit, GitP. If you're reading this, you're either digging through old stuff, or I've posted for the first time in forever.
If you want to stay in touch, reach out to me on twitter (same username).
The best answer is always to ask your DM.
Unless you're the DM, in which case you should talk to your players.
