Re: Crack Pairings 3 - 50% More Squick
Creepy story Water-Smurf. I have a feeling I'm missing something though. I need to check to see which stories I've missed and go back to reading them.
By the way, only one person really commented on my picture to my knowledge. Why is that?

It's been a bit, GitP. If you're reading this, you're either digging through old stuff, or I've posted for the first time in forever.
If you want to stay in touch, reach out to me on twitter (same username).
The best answer is always to ask your DM.

Re: Crack Pairings 3 - 50% More Squick
Beautifully-written, Water-Smurf. But freaking terrifying. O.O
I'm kind of in shock.
Brr.
Anyway, compliments. You made her personality switch look very plausible. It worked.
Also, apparently, the "needing to have clear categories" thing is also genetic. "Treat me like a medic or like a tormentor, not both." "Treat me like a tool or not, don't pretend to anything in-between."

Re: Crack Pairings 3 - 50% More Squick
Wow. That was awesome. Am I a bad person for kind of hoping she's going to work for Xykon? Yes, she'll wind up with more emotional baggage than a feelings airport, but she'd be (relatively) safe... Right?
EDIT: And your picture was good, Silverraptor. I thought I'd already said so, but I guess I imagined that. It's been an odd day.Last edited by Meg; 2009-11-22 at 06:21 PM.

Did I make Belkar a tad too submissive? I know it's basically a medium for me to express my hate, but I still want it to be good.

Re: Crack Pairings 3 - 50% More Squick
That was extremely unnerving Smurfy. The writing as always was of an excellent standard - you have really created an atmosphere of darkness and menace and I doubt Tiasal is going to have anything to smile about for a while. I'm really looking forward to seeing the next part. Will she make a deal with the bony Devil? Can her family manage to save the shattered remains of her heart?
Can't wait!
Oh and Mr Raptor? You V pic made me smile quite a bit - I've always liked that poem. Seems it is officially Creepy season on the Crack Pairing Thread, although it will be diluted slightly tomorrow by the second Awards ceremony.
I need a 3rd candidate for the Tainted Love award - so far we have ABD and Belial. You'll have the chance to vote for the winner after the episode goes up, although I have this funny feeling about which one Closak will vote for...

Water-Smurf, I really enjoyed In the Arms of Morpheus, it was extremely well done.
I have a question: are we allowed to say exactly what we think, or do the comments follow the 'if you don't have something nice to say, shut the hell up' rule?

Re: Crack Pairings 3 - 50% More Squick
Generally, we only speak if we can suggest something for the writer to improve. In theory, anyway. If you dislike something, say so. Do not say more then a few words, do not accuse or humiliate, and do not engage a rant. Give advice, recommendations, and suggest improvements to make it better, but if you actively dislike a story, then that's your business, don't waste space on the forum.
We want them to improve, not be so humiliated they never write again.
Incidentally, still need someone to tell me a little about Exalted, the internet seems to have failed me.Last edited by Cracklord; 2009-11-23 at 02:39 AM.

Re: Crack Pairings 3 - 50% More Squick
Firstly, Water-Smurf, I am glad you're not giving up on your writing.
Secondly, that new chapter was even creepier than the last one.
Although I am a little confused as to the exact nature of Tiasal's experience with the Master. That is to say...SpoilerWas she just spanked/what have you, or was she full-out raped? The description is vague enough that it's left up to interpretation.

Re: Crack Pairings 3 - 50% More Squick
Phew! The backlash wasn't as bad as I expected... I really don't see why so many people have a problem with it (nearly finished New Moon). It is maybe a bit adolescent at times but I think it's a good story. Actually I do like the Inheritance series (Eragon, etc.) as well (although the movie was crap). I also like Harry Potter, The Dragons of Pern series, Discworld novels, The Tales of Redwall and Northern Lights. Does anyone want to disparage my taste in any of those?
Also, check my gender before posting! I'm not Vaarsuvius...
EDIT: Nice twist Water-Smurf, poor Tiasal...Last edited by Taekwondodo; 2009-11-23 at 07:39 AM.

Re: Crack Pairings 3 - 50% More Squick
Actually yes. Eragon series is terrible, inconsistent, and does not make sense. It is a brick, that contains little to no characterization, and Eragon is only the good guy because the bad guys are identity less strawmen.

Re: Crack Pairings 3 - 50% More Squick
Squickies - part two!
Spoiler…..
SCENE: The house lights dim once more as the stage becomes illuminated. Julio is standing on stage, with Sabine next to him. While looking as lovely as ever, Sabine's appearance is somewhat...ruffled.
Julio: Welcome back to our faithful viewers and welcome back to Sabine.
: <sighs happily> Good to be back!
Julio: If I weren't the gentleman I am, I would point out that you now have claw marks all over your cleavage...
:.....claw marks....?
:.....cleavage....?
A dozen female eyes glance briefly downwards. There is a two second pause before a dozen wrathful female eyes glare in the direction of the Oracle, who legs it out of a side exit, still holding his Squickie.
: By the Twelve Gods! The reptilian fiend shall feel the righteous fury of my blade-
Julio: Now now, there will be plenty of time for forming angry lynch mobs once the show is over.
: That's right, Julio. The night is still very young....<winks>
Julio: Our next award is a Voter's Choice award, meaning the winner will be decided by the people reading this. (Yes, this does mean YOU, the person behind the keyboard)
: The 'Tainted Love' award goes to the person that really understands that you have to hurt the one you love. This is a category of which Nale and I have some....in-depth....knowledge, don't we, honey?
: I swear she sharpens the points on those high-heeled shoes...<winces>
Julio: Our first contender knows all about being a fine hostess. A big hand for the Ancient Black Dragon in “ABD and Vaarsuvius” - http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showt...33#post7253733
: I'd whistle with an impressed noise but I don't have lips any more.
Sabine: Our second contender is a woman who knows that not having a life does not preclude having a sex life. May I present Tsukiko in “Miko & Tsukiko” - http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showt...73#post6848573
Tsukiko: <lovingly caressing Xykon's jawbone> All the time I was with her, I was thinking only of you, my sweet.
: You say the nicest things.
Julio: And finally, if you want something to suffer on a epic scale, he's the go-to guy. The Marquis de Sade's long lost brother, a big round of applause for Belial in “Belkar in Hell” - http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showt...63#post7189163
Sound of people throwing up.
: And now its over to you voters – cast your vote below for the winner of the “Tainted Love” Squickie!

Re: Crack Pairings 3 - 50% More Squick
I actually didn't find anything related to pairings in Kaytara's fic, and there is no love, tainted or otherwise, in Cracklord's, so I'll vote for Malkar Grumbo's Miko & Tsukiko story.
