Now that I'm actually thinking about it, Death would "win": He really does look more badass if he's got his scythe, he's much nicer than Xykon, and if Hilarity is Ensuing correctly, his awkwardness in relationships with humans will have him probably end up accidentally doing something that will make it look like he's actually reciprocating Tsukiko's feelings. Huh. And if that doesn't work out when that inevitably crashes and burns in an entertaining manner, I'm sure she could talk to Reg Shoe for hours--or until she decides it's time to do more than talk.

Anyway, I'm off to bed now. Wonder if I'll have dreams about this...

Again, I think we need to clarify were in the timeline this is, and which timeline. It's confusing.

But I'm talking about post-'Losing Someone' Deirdre, who I have no trouble imagining keeping her crazy dead grandparents around to talk to, since the only other person she has for company is Xykon. Although in that case they'd probably want to keep well away from her.
