Re: New Moderators and Updated Forum Rules
*Badumptish*
I actually hadn't noticed the new en-mod-enation (or whatever you want to call it) until I saw this thread.
I also thought the thread was another one of those "Hi, I just noticed Roland and Rawhide are doing everything, can we have more mods please? And an update to the rules while we're at it?" threads at first. Then I realized that it is possibly the end to those threads for a while.
Is there a summary to the changes to the rules (so that my skim of them won't have missed something important), or will I be called out on it when I fail to read some obscurely hidden phrase such as "bananas shall only be mentioned February 29th, between 2300 and 2359 GMT"?
(Also, I suspected it'd be only a matter of time before Zeb was appointed to be a mod... now Puddingtroll is a proper Modspawn from the Playground. )

Re: New Moderators and Updated Forum Rules
Yay for new mods! And as for the ones that are retiring... I just hope it's all for the best, because life has given them only good things.
May it all be for the best, for the new ones and the ones that are retiring.

Re: New Moderators and Updated Forum Rules
Thanks to all the passing mods, may you rest well in moderator retirement home. I'm very sad to see the end of a laser guided wampa launching system, but what can you do.
Congratulations to all the new mods. I'll be sure to walk the line on the rules as much as I can just to annoy you. I kid! Good luck to you all, I'm sure you'll live up to the excellent level set by the previous mods.

Re: New Moderators and Updated Forum Rules
The first time I read that KPenguin became a mod, I was thinking he became a mod on the Steam server...although that uses green mod text not red. Then I saw the title.
Congratulations to the new mods !**** Photobucket ; RIP avatars

Re: New Moderators and Updated Forum Rules
Congratulations! Please don't hurt me.
Seriously, though, I hope you guys keep posting just regular posts too. I think you're all pretty solid members of the community, and it would, in my opinion, be a great pity if you post just Mod-related messages.

Oh the times, they are a-changing.
Man, seems like only yesterday Roland was in training to be the newest mod of all.
Well, good luck with power folks. May you live long and prosper or something to that extent.

Re: New Moderators and Updated Forum Rules
Out of a list of 10 I got three of the new mods right (though I don't count Zeb as a victory since it was inevitable if they plan to raise the little modling right). Still, that's nearly half, which means I'm nearly 1/2 psychic. Which means I'm closer to world domination
Seriously though congrats to the new mods, I'll begin fearing you right away sirs/ma'ams.
Not only did he used to be a mortal like us, but looking at your start date you joined after he got given the clones so he can be in every timezone at once. That was a weird day.Last edited by Kobold-Bard; 2010-08-22 at 05:00 AM.

Just checking, how much online flirtation would I need for each of the mods of forgive me for various future rule infractions?

Re: New Moderators and Updated Forum Rules
My mind:
Spoiler
When did the recruiting process start?! Did you all just get an message with a pic of Roland pointing at you and "Your Forum needs you!" written under it or did you have to apply?
And now that you are all mods, and as such above us mortals: I hope that you do well and that you will help continue to keep this as one of the very best sites of the net.
...
Wow. Did not see that coming.

Re: New Moderators and Updated Forum Rules
Oh hey, shiny new mods. Does this mean Roland finally gets to sleep? Also, how do new mods get chosen, is it a names out of a hat deal or a bloody gladiatorial battle to the death? (there can be no method in between these two options)
Anyhoo, congrats to allLast edited by Phaedra; 2010-08-22 at 08:32 AM.

Re: New Moderators and Updated Forum Rules
I do very much hope they do not see themselves to be above the normal users.
A moderator is like a police officer. They exist to keep a place clean, and have been granted some power to do that, but they're still civilians, and not morally or legally superior to other civilians.٩๏̯͡๏)۶
