    the first i beleive is simply a one-off joke or a hint that homes are not exactly what they used to be in the future,


    and for the others, people were discussing various spy genre's on the message board it origionally took place on, many if not all of those being included. (slick sleuth is aparently the best of them all)

    I don't think we're going to find out unless enough people try to force BH to switch to Inept Informant. She's obviously not going to do it herself, because any semi-competent spy knows better than to try and use II for anything; you just kind of sigh and work around losing what is usually a useful genre slot.

    It's a glitched game mechanic. Now that the Shift has fixed up most of the glitches, though, it may be time to look at the genre grid again.

    We kept trying to get her to switch to it to see what it would do, because some of the options were pretty sweet. Until she actually switches, though, we don't know if the grid's been fixed with the rest of it, or not, and what it does.

    So, I noticed that the wiki was very incomplete, and I decided to help out a bit.

    On the index page (which I figure would be one of the more useful parts of the wiki), the example format references (the ones beginning with the <span> tags) don't work, while the one beginning with the standard [[[ ]]] tag does.

    Would it be a problem if I just started building the comic index with those, since they seem to work better? Or is there something I'm missing about the whole thing?

    EDIT: And where can I get one of those awesome sigbars for this comic that some of you have?

    1. No, it has to be the <> tags, since those are HTML and for the actual GenGame site, not the wiki. The wiki is just there to store them and allow people to add to them at will.

    So, I've made index html up to the point where SM starts getting commands, and I noticed that it says in one place to use cyan, and in another place to use sienna. Which should I use?

    Edit: And what colors should I use when there are multiple characters being given commands?

    Edit2: I've reached BH detonating the bomb on JH. This one could be a problem, because if I recall HTML correctly (been a long time since I used it), it won't maintain the spacing, and line breaks are not exactly ideal for this sort of thing. I'm stopping there for the night, and I left that as the last one at the bottom of the page (so that it'll be easy to find).

    SM's color is sienna, a dark orange type. Cyan is a bit too aggressive as a chat color.

    Multiple characters... i suspect the one to first receive a command should get the color. Not as all-encompassing, but sufficient for simplicity's sake, i'd say.

    Whew. That's what I was going with. I was worried for a while there that I'd have to go back and change a lot of colors.

    I ended up using black for that one case where it said something like "BOTH: Try to distort BOSS".

    And I changed the last one to incorporate that code (funny, <p> tags crossed my mind, but I wasn't sure it would work in this particular context).

    So the bunnies are as infinite as a horse's call? JK, I'm never sure how to differentiate the spellings of those two words. Nigh and neigh. I think the proper one in this case is the first, though .

    Ok, so just to be clear, for the retroactive detonator, should I use the cyan color that is in the original code?

    EDIT: I don't know why it never occurred to me before (some computer science major I am! ). I can just copy all the code and make an html document to test it (if I had, I probably could have saved AJ some trouble). By the way, the code breaks at the retroactive detonator. I must have screwed it up somewhere. Not sure where, exactly. Like I said, it's been a while since I did anything with html.

    Odd bit of trivia: the first (and so far only) time the ?p number that identifies each strip's url goes down instead of up is this one. No idea why (then again, I also can't figure out for the life of me why it jumps the way it does, instead of a nice, logical 1,2,3,4...).

    The index is based on the amount of postings, so comics with more comments will displace the next one further, at least that's my understanding. Can't say I understand the anomaly, either.

    I couldn't tell if it was intentional or not (though I did find it odd, to say the least).

    Then again, I feel the same way about most of the misspellings and such in the comic. But I'm trying to be less of a grammar nazi, so I try not to point them out.

    I would speculate that I posted the previous comic before the one you linked to and then manually changed the post dates so that the order was correct.

    For me at least, pointing these things out is appreciated. It's easy to get tunnel vision about these things.

    Uh, did you mean "Distraction" with an "r" or was "distaction" intentional?

    EDIT: Oh, just read the post about horrible mispellings. I see now. We'll fix those eventually. Most of them weren't too hard to understand at least, like leaving a letter off the end or missing the tense on a verb. No big deal really.
