Re: Vampire V : Paris by Night...
Narrator Request: I would like each faction to send me a PM choosing one of their members as their spokesperson - as the factions grow larger, fitting them all in a single PM will become very impractical; so any faction actions will be posted to the spokesperson who can then forward the information to the rest of the faction. If the spokesperson for a faction dies or becomes unavailable, the faction should let me know whom will replace the prior spokesperson.
This does not need to be done by end of night, but it should be done soon.
Also, night actions are processing very quickly. Pending some replies to prior actions, this night may end in just a few hours.Last edited by Helgraf; 2011-09-13 at 09:52 PM.

Re: Vampire V : Paris by Night...
The moon, swollen and nearly full hangs over Paris tonight; blood red in the sky, calling to the lunatics and predators alike, and in the aftermath of the scavenger hunt, people are perhaps not as cautious as they ought to be.
Others believe they have less to fear from the night ... such as Mr. Pelay, late of Alberta, and only recently returned to fair Paris himself. Mr. Pelay is a student of unusual discipline, and cares little for the street gangs, panders and local rowdies that might give others pause.
When the first dark-clothed gentleman comes across the cobbles toward him, Mr. Pelay is ready. There is a blur of motion, then a sudden wet thump on the cobbles. Mr. Pelay's discipline is strong - he resumes walking. Mist drifts off into one of the many alleyways behind him.
Mr. Pelay does not fail to notice the rest of the street is deserted. Nor do his senses fail to note the fog rolling into the plaza. Two come next, from oblique angles. This time there is no pretext of normality; their eyes are a dull crimson, and their hands already more like clawed talons. If his first assailant was quiet, though, these two are by comparison silent; they glide in without even the sound of footfalls to draw attention.
He moves with liquid grace, reading his assailants movements and adjusting his form accordingly. It is then that two more of these phantom devils emerge from the fog, wisps of grey curling off of their limbs.
Mr. Pelay's discipline is strong ... some might say legendary. But against four such as these, even the most disciplined must know defeat.
A long, haunting howl echoes through the fog-ridden streets as Mr. Pelay surrenders his discipline .... and his humanity. He ripples and ... expands .. until he stands eight foot at the shoulder and half that across. Fingers blur, split and spasm as four inch claws press out of the flesh; facial features melting and reshaping; snout enlongating, jaw thickening and extending.
What was Mr. Pelay does not wait for the process to finish; is already leaping at one of his assailants, claws sinking into the man's shoulders; his body somersaulting over; arms coming forward pulling the man up and over and throwing him at the second. A snarling hungry maw full of glistening canines roars a challenge.
The assailants pause ... then smile long toothy smiles of their own. The circle becomes a blur of motion, a staccato rhythm of tearing flesh and muscle.
"It seems the children have met their match," a low, melodious voice called out. "Fortunate then that I came prepared for the possibility of ... other monsters," it continued as a pale, impeccibly dressed figure stepped into the plaza, drawing an antiquated blade that shone under the red moon.
Mr. Pelay, mind lost in the red rage, turned on the new threat and leapt toward it.
Dracula nodded, taking half a step backward and bringing the blade up in an underhand swing. The silver sunk deep into a hide that til now had only suffered minor scoring from the claws and fangs of the others. The vampire lord stepped in; driving the blade deeper into the monster's chest through main strength alone.
"You are not dead yet - though you wish it," he murmured, knowing the beast could hear him despite the quietness of his tone. "Leave Paris - and tell those other fools that this is my city."
Lady Tialait, the werewolf, was driven out of Paris by the vampires. (and for game purposes is officially dead). Day begins and will last ~48 hours.
By Imperial Decree, all factions may now attempt one recruitment per active member. Additional restrictions already given, if any, still apply.

Re: Vampire V : Paris by Night...
Lady T was the Doppleganger.
She stole my role, so upon her death it looked like I died.
To the person I've infected, it'd be nice if you'd back this claim in-thread.Last edited by Lord Loss; 2011-09-14 at 06:12 AM.

Re: Vampire V : Paris by Night...
Well, at least I got a nice going away message. I'd tell you what happened there, but that would effect the game, and dead men tell no tales...or you know...people who are in town anymore.

Re: Vampire V : Paris by Night...

Ponies not only make ME want to be a better person than I was before they entered my life, they make me want to HELP OTHERS be better people too.
And that is a GOOD thing by any definition.

I think I might've mixed up a few things there...
I would've voted for Otakuryoga for posting before me but I liked his post too much.

Re: Vampire V : Paris by Night...
It is whispered amongst the servants and underlings of the city about the Baron's chateau that the old man was put out by the accusations the day before. His honor is all he has left to his wasted, crippled body, and he is said to never forget those that impugned it.
He is not seen this day on his balcony, but a message is delivered just the same. The name? LexKat.Helping others is a good and noble cause, but sometimes the best way you can help them is by lending them a sword and telling them to go slay their own damned dragons.

Re: Vampire V : Paris by Night...
Lex-Kat it suddenly becomes optimal for me to vote for you. And it appears that Lord Loss wasn't lying, so no need to hunt him down and eat him.

Re: Vampire V : Paris by Night...
I'm inclined to believe Lord Loss, and I have reason to trust Lamech, so point withheld.

The only thing I know for certain about these people is that Lex-kat is a Gypsy. Therefore I will stay off the voting completely and point at Penguinator because he has no votes

((Could we please not lynch another gypsy, please? Thanks. Lamech, though I'm tempted to test otaku to see what happens if it's said he was infected if he dies. Besides, if LL is a vampire so would otaku be, and if LL isn't otaku's chance of being a vampire isn't any lesser then others. I will change my vote if others do too.
RP later.))

Lex-Kat is a sub-optimal choice for me to point at (I think) but is less so than Lamech or Lord Loss so...there we go really.

Re: Vampire V : Paris by Night...
We have (or had?) a doppleganger running around? It seems a bit suspicious to me that Lord Loss would know that for sure, as I'm not seeing it as a publicly declared roll. I am certainly inclined to change my vote, but would like to know how you found that out, Lord Loss.
