Experiencing something is different from knowing it. For instance, weddings are very emotional experiences even though you know exactly what's going to happen.

Word of God denied such in-built conditioning repeatedly. Not exactly this one, but many other similar ones. It's quite clear that they are meant to behave how they do out of their own volition, not because they have specifically and deliberately been programmed this way.

Examples include robot libido (which doesn't make sense, unless they're basically emulating human brains; kind of like in Freefall except for the difference that this other series does include built-in control systems) and how anthro-PC actually want to be adopted so that they live with a human. It's just because they want to.

This is mildly off-topic, but I need some geeksplanation here. Is it hard for RSS to trigger itself when the publisher is on vacation? I don't understand how questionablecontent.net knows to update its page but Google Reader doesn't know how to notice that it's new only in those times when Jeph is out of town.

I have a hard time guessing such things... If Hanners is second first might be someone close to her... Marigold? Or someone rather different, Faye, Dora... usually the guys don't have sucha big fandom (at least when it comes to "favorite character") but it might even be... Angus? Dunno, really.

You know, If Jeph were to make this comic just about Sweet Tits, Yelling Bird and the rest of the characters he's created around them, I would still read it.

Yelling Bird is tolerable in small doses, which is how we get him, so it's good. As a main character on his own, I can't see him lasting very long before Jeph ran out of ~~new material~~ ways to insult himself with graphic profanity, and the other characters are too defined by their relation to/with YB to stand alone.
