This designation accustomed be reserved for less than the foremost special of terror tales — psychotic, The Exorcist, Alien — however currently, it is a catch phrase combat, Saw, The Descent, Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Sinister — the list goes on. I'm gonna guess that stat's wise the the Sword grants minmax a positive bonus to his attack and damage equivalent to the Negative Penalty to his INT.

So if Minmax has a -2 INT he gets a +2 to atk and dmg on top of anything else the sword might grant.

prophecy: Minmax emerges from the maze, teleports to the GAP, is talked round into perceiving Kore as the bigger threat, gets somehow disarmed and Kore being overly badass slices off the future Minmax hand which tries to grab the sword. Crazy ****.

Kin, "Oblivious" absolutely comes etymologically from the same source as "Oblivion", and is fine as a poetic name for a sword that runs on the power of nothingness.

You could say the sword doesn't know itself, or something.

Which makes it even more powerful, since you don't understand it either.

See how meta Thunt has become? The Sword of Oblivion makes no sense, so no one inside or outside the comic can understand it, which makes it phenomenally powerful!

[Comprehension]The sword is powered by ignorance of its true nature because an undefined item can affect the plot in whatever ways the author decrees, further enabling him to deviate away from using crunch for anything other than jokes.[/comprehension]

They aren't getting evicted.. their landlord is losing the house the bank... They are just leaving because they can't stay anymore

I was there for the marathon Thunt did.. it sucks.. All that work and the bank wouldn't accept the down payment on the house they are already in.

Remember that we are dealing with Science-like magic. IE Magic has rules that are consistent and understood by by those of high int/with several points in Knowledge(planes, religion, Arcana) so while it may seem weird to us there may be books on the use of "nothingness" as an "object" and the way it works.

Kin made a Knowledge check to learn about the sword and that is what she learned.

As for the sword itself. Well I think some people in this thread are being a little down. This is a silly Hitchhikers guide style idea. Its a fun little thing that makes enough sense to work.

I think its just playing on the rule of cool. I mean, c'mon, who wouldn't want a sword made of oblivion in their game for their character. Doesn't matter what the bonus is, it's just that cool!

Alright, I got a new netbook, so the comic page loads properly unlike on my iPad so that I can actually go through the archives fully!

...Of course, I also didn't notice the OTHER previous/next buttons above the comic until I got the netbook, so yeah. And I could've gone through the archives on the family laptop, I was just procrastinating.

I don't have enough time to go through this thread and the previous one, so I don't know if this has been answered, but I remember someone asking back when Dies' group came across the demons or something, someone asked why we hadn't seen from the main goblin group in a while. It's because they've actually gone ahead in time from the other groups, so the other two have to catch up, because the people who appeared in a flash of green light when the group was just getting to the entrance of the dungeon crawl were Forgath and Minmax.

Also, it isn't Not-Walter. It obviously SEEMS like it is, but that's just a clever ploy by Thunt to throw us off track. It's actually K'seliss, who has been revived by Dies using the same as-yet unseen powers of his hand that he'll use to teleport to to the GAP and confront them on the bridge.
