That said, we saw both a fox and an elk on our way up. The latter was shrouded in mist, and appeared as a dark shade with glowing eyes and an almost feline look to it before we got close to it. Monstrous and distorted, the visual made quite an impression (the good kind) on me.

I've had English all the way from grade 3 to 12. Heck, in grade 10 to 12, I even picked a course (that is, the whole three-year package) that specialised in the language. I'd say that I have my rights to be able to handle English on a near native level after that.

My phone is stupid. I had 5 pips of battery power remaining (out of 7) when it suddenly went *beep* and claimed the battery to be almost empty. Now it's down to 1 pip, which, while I believe it to be overly alarmist, still means that I'll probably be left with no Internet access by tomorrow.

And I mourn the lack of cameras. This morning, the lake was so still that the reflection of the opposite side in its surface was nigh perfect. You could turn your head upside down and be perfectly fooled by the image. And the sky looked even better in the reflection. It's sad that I can't share the image with you...

We also found a dead and mostly scavenged elk. It's flesh and skin is gone, and the hair lies as dead pine needles on the ground and the bare white bones. The legs remain intact, however. How curious...

Looks like we'll just have to agree to disagree, on various points. Specificly, Oshawott isn't a "Piplup 2". I agree that I'd like something other then fire fighting. And N is awesome.

So, every year for the past few years my parents and I have gone to the Feast of San Gennaro in Los Angeles. Last week, we realized we probably wouldn't have enough money to attend last night because of our bills. My mother did the bills earlier, and then mere moments later we get three paychecks: my father's, a bonus from my father's that was nearly the exact same amount as the bills, and my mother's.

Well, I'd say self-perception is very important. So if you think you are what you do, then, yes, doing is important.

Example: A_T started percieving himself as a bird, and now he is one.

I recommend National Novel Writing Month for this- but you don't want to take my word for it- I completed it three times already so I must be crazy by definition...

There do seem to be quite a few Canadians that take part in it though, so you might even find some locally.

The best way to meet people is usually to go out and do things; then you meet people with common interests while doing them.

I appreciate it can be daunting, but it's easy to get into a vicious circle of inactivity: you don't do anything because you have no-one to do it with, and you have no-one to do it with because you don't do anything. Then one day you wake up and realise you're thirty and you haven't done anything worth mentioning.

It's also a surefire recipe for depression in the meantime. :/ Stasis has always been my least favorite state.

Indeed it is. When you feel down go hang out. Good way to feel better. You smile for a bit, even if it's dis-genuine, and more often than not you'll find a real one creeping onto your face.

That reminds me, I need new people to hang out with.

Wait, why are you sulking again? Or is this just part of that whole being a teenager thing where instead of being sulky I opted to just spend my teenage years being preoccupied with the fairer sex at every waking moment?
