You are not only on the right track, but might have Google maps, no that right is invoked by the (Narrators) the Metsuke or Censors. The Samurai seek to exterminate or bring under control the Ninja clans they deem as unsafe. Which are the ones they find.

So don't role reveal in game thread, or you will be used to test cheap second rate slag iron brittle and blunt katanas.

To represent living in a millitary dictatorship, follow your role rules and keep in mind your winning conditions.

This sounds like it's going to be one of the biggest games in a while. Couple that with everyone has a role and it sounds like a party!

Primarily, are the rules revealed in-thread or in the role assignment PM?
Also, are there any I might accidentally break and should know about before the game starts?

Some rules are posted at the start - the framework of the game is Classic WW or my Mafia Games (2 opposing teams of Wolves vs. each other vs. Roles/Masons/Village).

Your role *should* spell out the rules more clearly. There are no rules to break before the game starts.

A better origin game may be my Monster Mash. Check your reference sources, part of the game is figuring out how to live and win within the rules while facing the chance of betrayal and death.

I will close recruiting either tonight 24 Oct or tomorrow 25 Oct - but I need your first inputs *Before* Dawn day 1 - essentially I need all night actions *Before* the first Day - you'll get my request when you get your role - just reply to my pm and you'll be good to go. I'll be asking for an anonymous Clan name to post for the nightly scoreboard.

The sourcing for the game takes place in Iga, Japan during the First Tenshō Iga War (1579).

Night inputs will be taken strictly in the order they are received.

There is the chance to win solo.

There is the chance to win with a team.

There will be more than one player with night kills.

There will be baning.

There will be no-refusal recruiting.

There will be scrying.

There will be scry-blocking.

There will be arson.

Players will make up things on the fly that will most likely be accepted - if they can show some kind of historical reference or if it makes sense.

Subdivision 1.First degree; dwelling.

Whoever unlawfully by means of fire or explosives, intentionally destroys or damages any building that is used as a dwelling at the time the act is committed, whether the inhabitant is present therein at the time of the act or not, or any building appurtenant to or connected with a dwelling whether the property of the actor or of another, commits arson in the first degree and may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than 20 years or to a fine of not more than $20,000, or both.
Subd. 2.First degree; other buildings.

Whoever unlawfully by means of fire or explosives, intentionally destroys or damages any building not included in subdivision 1, whether the property of the actor or another commits arson in the first degree and may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than 20 years or to a fine of not more than $35,000, or both if:

(a) another person who is not a participant in the crime is present in the building at the time and the defendant knows that; or

(b) the circumstances are such as to render the presence of such a person therein a reasonable possibility.
§
Subd. 3.First degree; flammable material.

(a) Whoever unlawfully by means of fire or explosives, intentionally destroys or damages any building not included in subdivision 1, whether the property of the actor or another, commits arson in the first degree if a flammable material is used to start or accelerate the fire. A person who violates this paragraph may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than 20 years or a fine of not more than $20,000, or both.

(b) As used in this subdivision:

(1) "combustible liquid" means a liquid having a flash point at or above 100 degrees Fahrenheit;

(2) "flammable gas" means any material which is a gas at 68 degrees Fahrenheit or less and 14.7 psi of pressure and which: (i) is ignitable when in a mixture of 13 percent or less by volume with air at atmospheric pressure; or (ii) has a flammable range with air at atmospheric pressure of at least 12 percent, regardless of the lower flammable limit;

(3) "flammable liquid" means any liquid having a flash point below 100 degrees Fahrenheit and having a vapor pressure not exceeding 40 pounds per square inch (absolute) at 100 degrees Fahrenheit, but does not include intoxicating liquor as defined in section 340A.101;

(4) "flammable material" means a flammable or combustible liquid, a flammable gas, or a flammable solid; and

(5) "flammable solid" means any of the following three types of materials:

(i) wetted explosives;

(ii) self-reactive materials that are liable to undergo heat-producing decomposition; or

(iii) readily combustible solids that may cause a fire through friction or that have a rapid burning rate as determined by specific flammability tests.

Not sure exactly when Andre and Haruki are planning to launch things, but since Werewolf in the Forum has wrapped up, it will likely be very soon. I will get Andre to make a timeline update after he wakes up.

Day 1 begins now -

Yesterday the Shogun's Censor was assassinated. Today, the son of Oda Nobunga - the puppet master behind the Shogun - has arrived in the province of Iga to bring the independent province under control. Iga is a center of Ninja activity - a hub for warlords to attract and hire assassins and spies.

Essentially, Iga is being invaded, and the intruders - Samurai - are unwelcome by the Citizens, Villagers, and Townspeople of Iga. There are hidden clans that will battle the Samurai by night, to maintain their own interests, and keep the town free if necessary.

You all have your roles, and your winning conditions.

Hmm, that doesn't sound quite right. Erikku retunes his Satsuma-biwa. There, now its sounding right. A instrument is only worth its value when its in tune. And there's a tea house of fine quality that is just asking for him to add that value to its atmosphere.
