He got Kickasso to talk again, but not really on purpose. His thing with the mustache wasn't necessarily an act of kindness.
Add to the mass murdering that something like one half-hour ago top, he was attacking the GAP. He teleported on them to attack them. Because he wanted some revenge on Names.

Really, I can hardly blame the GAP for being hostile to him. I don't think I could even blame them from killing him on the spot.

Minmax is complicated (or not). When he attacked Goblinslayer for raping and torturing Kin, it was more than certainly because of a principle of his. He still was willing to kill Kin later, before he changed his mind and prepared the birthday party instead.
He hadn't changed his mind about monsters being evil creatures that deserve to die, but was thinking that even an evil creature that deserves to die doesn't deserve to be tortured and raped.
And changing his mind about Kin wasn't sufficent either for him to change his mind about the GAP and realize that he was the one who attacked their camp.

To be fair, he does think these particular goblins are on a quest to raise some white terror and bring death to all non goblins.

Not too mention he has a very personal vendetta against Names. I mean, they DID try rather hard to slaughter each other.

I keep saying he doesnt have to die for melodrama, thunt can cause us tons of emotional pain by creating a split in the GAP. Fumbles is really getting attached to minmax for whatever reason, thats an easy source of conflict with his group. Names is not known for a great deal of self control or rational thinking and is the type to lash out at anyone who pisses him off. Thats an easy trigger right there. Things can get said that cant be unsaid (without a handy oblivion hole at least) And there can be all sorts of emotional anguish experienced by all.

I would, too, because I felt there was still plenty Chief had to deal with, narratologically. Then, however, I read an interesting discussion between Thunt and one of his forumgoers, where Thunt argued that Chiefs character arc and story line was perfectly rounded down and come to its natural conclusion.
    So, yeah. Not sure anymore.

Chief sure got a heroic death and that heroism may be spoiled if he comes back.
However, if I die heroically and can be raised, please do.

Maybe he does not have much stuff to bring to the story, but he's still GAP's main healer. He just need to be around the others, not each of them has his epic story either.
Thaco destroyed his nemesis. He has to deal with Complains as his father and is more or less the leader of GAP, but GAP does not really use a leader...
Complains is an angry kid that needs character growth. What else about him?
Ears is Ears. It may be my favorite character, he's the paladin of the group, but... What's his storyline? Is his story about the axe?
Fumbles is coming back from limbo and being fun again. What a great role.

So I think Chief could still fit in that party.

Because she owned a book? I guess I can kinda see it, but that seems like a big leap in logic to make. Complains has certainly never shown any sign of intelligence whatsoever. He's smarter than Minmax, and maybe Fumbles, but that's about it.

If they're seeing missing loved ones I wonder if Minmax will see Kin, which might lead to some interesting interactions with the group.

Not just A book, but TWO books! But seriously, if nothing else it shows she's at least smart enough to read and understand the purpouse of books, something we haven't seen the other Goblins understand. they can read clearly, but they've never been shown with books to my knowledge. Plus as a storyteller it's a common trope to stick too if you want to show intelligence.

As for complains, intelligence isn't neccicarily genetic, he might have the capacity to be as smart as his mother was, but he just never uses or bothered with it in favour of being who he is today. You still need to learn everything your parents know, just because your mom knows how to cook when you're born doesn't mean you're going to be born knowing how to cook.

Maybe she writes down the name of every adventurer she has killed and has wiped out so many it fills two books? Also, are we just going to ignore what fumbles did?

Since big ears' eyes seem to have less expression i cant tell if big ears is stunned speechless about what fumbles just did, or if he is suffering from INT drain and about to start drooling.

Do we need more evidence that the goblins are indeed player-controlled?

It's not paranoia when they really are out to get you. The rest of us know it's inevitable that the face/carving will do something horrible or dangerous, so we're not bothering worry about it.

Meh. I found Thunt horror to be visceral, but mostly relying on sharp teeth, pointy claws and mean looking eye slits.

The Fingore demon was cool, but few and far between.

I mean, where is the wiring monstrosity that melds into your skin an puppeteer you like marionette? Where is the fungi that starts peeling you off one layer at the time? A monster that turns your head into a beacon for rats. Nowhere. A Skinless faceless humanoid that rips your dreams and turns them into nightmares, while slowly gestating you in its acidic pouch? None. Where is a small angel looking boy, that can compel you to do anything for his demonic amusement via magic? Where is the plague that makes people kill people dearest to them?

Where is the utter blackness that transforms everything as it pleases for no logical or illogical gain?
