Re: Failing Saves
Gliph is a warforged, a special construct race unique to the Eberron Campaign Setting. Although Failing Saves takes place in a homebrew setting, Undertaker's primary DnD experience comes from Dungeons & Dragons Online, so most of the setting should look like a bastardized version of Eberron.

Re: Failing Saves
The setting can be preety tough, our DM hit us with 10 flying monkeys at one point, took out my TinMan Wizard and our cleric before we managed to get away. Fortunetally our munchkin paladin (Both the race and the build) had taken the feat Lollypop Guild Membership at 6th level and succeeded on his roll to get us discounts on our ressurections.

Re: Failing Saves
I keep telling people kobolds can be dangerous! Most people go with the:
DM: "The kobold turns, hisses, and throws its spear at you."
Player: "I slash with my sword."
DM: "It goes down like a sack of moldy potatoes. It had 1d4 sp and 1d6 cp in a pouch."
routine, without ever giving the kobolds a chance to lure "Our Heroes" into the traps set by the kobolds.
I always think of Home Alone when it comes to kobolds: 1 kobold vs 2 Lvl 3 Rogues. Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern took quite a drubbing before the end of that movie.
EDIT: I just noticed "Trip." "Tripping..." "And... Tripped!"Last edited by Surfing HalfOrc; 2007-12-14 at 11:18 AM.

Re: Failing Saves
Or Tucker.
Back on topic: I'm liking the characters very much. Delrek is somewhat akin to Elan. He's not stupid so much as just seemingly naive and young. Korul is funny with his semi-sarcastic nature, and seems to have the most depth at this point. Gangorn is already a contender for the "Badass Halfling Award"TM and Gilph is also a pretty funny idiot. Great writing, Undertaker, and excellent art Salmon! I check Failing Saves regularly.

Re: Failing Saves
Typical, he's a beer drinker. I thought he'd drink big people drinks. Hang on, I thought they didn't eat or drink?

Denying a Warforged the right to drink beer would be racist...I think...

Re: Failing Saves
Nah, I see warforged as the sort of guys who watch people chugging beer with disdain. And sit dowing shot after shot of vodka. Or absinthe.

Re: Failing Saves
We had a Monk/Ninja Warforged character in our group. We theorised that a construct similar to a Warforged (But without the Living Construct subtype) could in theory drink an infinite amount of alcohol and avoid losing their sobriety.
We never really had the chance to test the theory though...

Re: Failing Saves
I was in a campaign once, and they had a warforged who was very big on the fact of his sentinence, Always going on about how he had the choice, moral, and freedom to act as he wanted. So he always had these little speeches to himself when he went to a tavern, ate a meal, drank some beer, ect.
"Im going to eat this meal. I am not oblieged to eat, nor do I require it, nor enjoy it, but I eat because I have the choice to eat, and I have chosen to eat this meal."Last edited by Yeril; 2007-12-15 at 04:32 PM.
