Re: The SHOW Show
Sneak looked deeply into the magical fire rising from his fingertips, completely mesmerized by the dancing and capricious fiery flickering of the alliterative flames. He walked down the street, avoiding obstacles such as trees, cars, and people only by pure luck.
The fire kind of hurt his hand, but it didn't bother him much.
Although, now that he thought about it, the fire REALLY HURT. In fact, it would probably be a good idea to stop it.
He closed his fist and the flames extinguished with a hissing noise, slightly akin to the noise that would have been made by an aging angry cat with some kind of mental disorder or perhaps a man extinguishing a magical fire by closing his fist over it.
In any case, it was lucky that Sneak made this sound at this particular moment...although really the luck was in that he closed his fist and extinguished the fire, not in making the noise. The noise was simply a byproduct. But back to the point.
If he had not done so, he surely would not have seen the glowing golden glittery alliterative glint on the ground in front of him, and would most certainly not have bent down to pick up said alliterative mysterious item.
But as he DID close his fist and extinguish the fire, he bent down, picked up what appeared to be a scrap of golden paper, and examined it.
"The golden ticket," he read aloud. "I...haz it? I haz it! Do I have what it takes to survive in the...erm...HOUSE?" He pondered this intriguing turn of events for a moment before nodding his head and tucking the ticket into his pocket. "Yes," he said to himself. "I believe I do. Unless surviving in the house requires a chainsaw or a toothpick. I don't have those. But somehow, that seems unlikely to me." He nodded again. "No, that wouldn't make sense. So logically, MUST I have what it takes to survive in the House." Satisfied, Sneak turned up the collar of his trenchcoat, absolutely DID NOT pick his nose, mussed up his hair (messy hair is in these days, dontcha know) and set off to find this mysterious house.
Also, he packed some pocket lint.
Just in case.
Luckily, the house wasn't too far away. In fact, it was only a few feet from where he was standing at the moment. Sneak pondered this fact for a moment, wondering at the coincidence. He chalked it up to the leprechauns. Of course, he was just being silly. Clearly, PLOT was the active force at work here. Anyway, that's beside the point. The point is, he walked up to the house, opened the door, and peered inside. "Hallo?"
___
And I'm done for the night. Goodnight.
And yes, Festy, 42 most certainly is lucky. It may be too obvious, though. Best of luck to you, anyway.Last edited by Sneak; 2008-04-06 at 10:16 PM.

Re: The SHOW Show
Yeah, yeah. Of course you don't want people wandering into structured games they don't play and I remember the fiasco with LLD and the H/H's so I can see not wanting to go there either. But ... just ... gah, those are mostly the games I play. Outside of Countdown, but you've already given away that ticket.

Re: The SHOW Show
LLD made us want to stay away from H/H on the basis of respecting those games. I feel that if we gave a ticket in a WW game then it would just distract from the game and that wouldn't be good. I feel your pain though. Even if you did post in more SMBG's your chances are still pretty low.

Re: The SHOW Show
OK, current status: We've given out 10 out of 16 tickets, two of which have not been confirmed.
Caw has 24 more hours to confirm or the ticket will go back to the randomization system.
Sixcimitars has 48 hours to confirm or else the same thing will happen.
If anyone has any way to contact either of them, it would be appreciated.

Re: The SHOW Show
Saphire poofs into the house in the customary cloud of purple smoke. She looks around herself, and ambles her way to the living room. Seeing the T.V., she grins and hooks up her PS2 right away, slidding her games into the DVD case. Among the games are tittles such as "Final Fantasy IX", "Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2", the Splinter Cell's, and DDR, plus a bunch of not-so-great RPG's that her mom got her. A pair of mats are unfolded from her suit case, and laid out on the carpet. She smiles, satisfied, and goes off to explore the house.

Re: The SHOW Show
Nikolai, with her Mad Hatters Hat perched upon her head at an awkward angle, struggled through the door with her luggage, bumping it over stairs and door hinges and whatnot, cursing silently under her breath with that special golden ticket clutched in her hands.
"Ohhhh, I've got a golden ticket. I've got a chance to...I don't remember the lyrics..ladeedadeeda da da da da! And with a gold ticket its a golden daaaay."
Her hazel eyes, made even larger by her square, heavy black framed glasses, trained on the DDR that Saphire had set out. With a grin, Nikolai pranced over, looking for its owner.

Re: The SHOW Show
To the untrained eye, it seems as though Fullbladder was always there, as he exits the bathroom with a copy of Mysticism for Idiots and a large duffel bag. He pauses but once, to adjust his collar, and makes his way to the living room. He tosses the bag on the floor in front of the couch, and tosses himself upon the latter, one leg up over the furniture's back.
Idly he pulls the beach ball-like Star Wars Death Star Transformer from his bag, and absently tosses it up and down. The above post sponsored by Fullbladder Manufacturing.
And so begins the Age of Extinction! The Year of the Dinosaurs! And the Reign of the Predacons!

Re: The SHOW Show
Sneak enters. "Hello, everybody!" He grins lopsidedly and then sniffs the air once. He cocks his head to the side for a moment and wrinkles his nose. "My cookie senses are tingling..." His features change and shift until the human Sneak is gone, replaced with a slightly overweight ginger tabby cat. He quickly rushes out from under his pile of heavy unnecessary clothing and hurries to the kitchen, where he bashes into BRC's legs in an unsuccessful assassination attempt before leaping up onto the counter and beginning a staring contest with the cookies, twitching his whiskers every now and then for good measure.

Re: The SHOW Show
Wandering through the halls, Saphire finally stumbles upon a bedroom. She looks around in it, grinning when she sees the bouncy looking bed. She tosses her suitcase onto it, fishing out her posters. Her favorite one of Kabuto and Orochimaru was tapped to the front of her door, marking her territory. Below it, a small square of paper reading "Your skill in reading has been increased by one point." Inside, the walls are strewn with posters within minutes, her Kabuto and Kakashi plushies sitting cutely on the pillow of her new bed. With that she turns, making her way back to the living room where the scent of cookies tickles her nose. Intrigued, she follows the smell to the kitchen, where she spots"Kitty!!" She gleefully picks Sneak up to give him a big hug, scratching his ears and blabbering about how cute he is.

Re: The SHOW Show
"Mmmm I smell cookies!"
Banjo runs out of the bedroom, his Munchkin game forgotten, and heads for the kitchen. He spies BRC making cookies and ambles over, putting on his best I-want-to-be-your-friend grin.
"Hi I'm Banjo! Do you like cookies too? I like the ones with Smarties in."
Banjo watches BRC make cookies and looks at the cat with interest. He would offer to help, but it's in the houses best interest not to let him.
